letskeeptalking: Please I also intend to do this after I land. Does it mean ur daughter will be on visitor's permit in canada or can it be converted to study permit for the duration of your own studies too? Also, does it mean only one's spouse can bring the kids? What of if I decide I prefer my mum cos honestly dunno how soon my hubby will tidy his business and job here to come over and I want the kids to come asap when I land. Kindly shed more light on this. |

Dear all, thanks everyone and all the gurus in the house, taking out time to respond to questions. I submitted my application on the 23th March, went for my biometrics on the 30th. I received NSE request same 30th and today I tried uploading the documents. At the point of submitting the doc,it requested payment info and I got confused. Someone should kindly clarify the meaning of that cos I couldn't continue. Am I expected to pay some kind of fee after the initial 235Cad? Please help!!! |

marcelonwa: A little bit of ambiguity but I think its applicable to people who change their DLI after approval and are still in their home country. When u cross border I believe u only need to notify them of this change. Abi someone who has landed into Canada and wishes to change will still submit a fresh application? 1 Like |

JustMellow: Thank you. It is a bit clearer now. I was skeptical cos I had majority of the funds in a mutual investment account which I liquidated only 5 months ago, some transferred as lump( already explained in my sop )while the rest were transferred monthly from my salary account. I was kinda scared that the money didn't sit for 6 months but the narration when liquidated shows it was housed in the mutual investment. I hope to use it that way as I have requested for mybankstatement from the bank |

Hello all, To all the gurus here..thanks for all you do. In providing mybankstatement, does it imply that the pof must have sat in the account for 6months and with at least a year banking history? Checking through my account ..there were inflows and outflows but my pof didn't sit still in my account for 6 months oooo...someone please clarify so I can be decisive on the NSE request pleaseeeeee. |

Testimonytime: Thank you so much for this advice.I have thought of so many possible options too. I will be visiting the NIS with an affidavit of lost but found. I also sent the passport number to a friend this morning who validated on the NIS portal and still saw it as active. They should stop delaying people's progress with their incompetence. 1 Like |

Teeprecious: Please peeps, urgent advise needed. I am almost loosing my mind ooo. Everything about the system here is almost designed to frustrate people. Perhaps anyone who knows someone in immigration should kindly helppppp. Biko. |

Dear all, please I need your advise or the contact of anyone in immigration who can advise me accordingly. Sometimes in Aug I noticed I couldn't find my passport and tot I must have muddled it with my other doc. I had applied to my sch for winter 2021 with same passport but eventually had to defer my admission to sept for other reasons. By Nov,I swore an affidavit and reported it missing to enable me apply for a new passport as the old one expires by Sept 2021 anyways. Since I captured in Dec,new passport isn't out and story is no booklet in the country.I recently saw my old passport in my children's report sheet envelope after I turned my house upside down in search for it. Question is...can I go ahead and use this passport as a stopgap pending when immigration decides to have mercy? This is the only thing delaying my application as resumption is this September. Do I also have to swear another affidavit declaring it found? Kindly advise. |

Good morning house, I have received my LOA from my school. I am however confused on the speculations that the school must indicate that in person attendance is required before entry can be allowed into canada. There was not such thing specified on my LOA from the school. Do I have to mail the school raising these concerns given that the school is a DLI with covid plans already in place. I anticipate a response. 1 Like |

Baphil: Shey person will not goan do ielts again laidiss? I am not understanding this their trend again o and I thought I was done with ielts after writing twice for EE and scoring 8 both times but my point till practiced social distancing from the EE cutoff score. Heeiii God o.... |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Teeprecious: 10:38am On Feb 12, 2021 |
Baphil: Its only better and fair that these guys come out plainly to let people know whether the ielts is now compulsory in all aspect. If an applicant doesn't have the requirement for the NSE route, they should simply allow such person go through the normal route with a longer processing period. This is absolutely unfair na |

Goodevening house,I have a joint account with my mum. I am self sponsored and will be using my bank statement but I just moved my own fraction of the funds from the joint account to my personal account. Do I still have to explain the source of this inflow in my LOE cos obviously both our names will reflect on the bank statement. |

awys: Form A is 301naira to one CAD but this is subject to availability of what the govt supplies to the banks. Most banks already have backlogs of form A request and on queue waiting for Fx. Therefore, except one has plenty time to wait for the processing period, then one can use form A cos its the cheapest, but if there is a deadline,an alternative must be sought quickly.I have someone whose account is yet to be debited for form A done since 30th Dec. |

Good day all and thank you for all the swift responses. Please I need clarification. My passport expires by the end of Sep this year. I intend to use this passport to start my application while I renew and use the new one when I get my PPR. I hope I am in line and this has no implication whatsoever. Kindly advise. |
