Landing Gist

So I booked British Airways flight for 30th of November. I had booked it since September, do the booking at MMIA so I paid in Naira at official rate.

Flight was for 11:45pm but I got to the airport around 4pm keeping with the advice given here to always arrive early.

First wahala was at the scanning machine at the entrance, they found my palm oil and said to take it out, that it won’t fly on BA, I didn’t argue I dropped it because I still had two more, which unfortunately ended up being trashed by BA just before departure (BA doesn’t allow frozen palm oil).

Agric people caught me this point and I had to dash them 2k, was hoping to escape it. After then I went weighed my luggage, had to shuffle some items between my carry-on and my checked in luggage before I was able to move ahead.

Showed the airline rep my passport, enrollment letter ArriveCAN, passenger locator form (mandatory for UK passage), vaccination card and COVID test. He confirmed the documents and gave me my boarding pass and yellow card to fill.

From there I moved to immigration, they collected my yellow card here, I was instructed to write my final destination address at the back of the card, Baba asked for tip I told him “nothing Dey” and they let me go.

Boarded the plane to London, the food was alright and we landed heathrow around 4am and that’s when I came online and saw the ban update sad

At 11:45 am we boarded the connecting flight, food was also good. After about 8hrs we were in Toronto. Used the machine to scan my passport and filled some information and a slip was printed out. Walked over to fort immigration check, the asked what food items I brought and I listed them asked if Toronto was my final stop, told him will be going to Saskatoon in January for school proper and I was directed to the place where I’d get my study permit.

Study permit didn’t take long, was only asked for the school I was attending and letter of admission which I submitted, it was checked and I was issued a study permit after which I was directed to public health for quarantine matters based on the new COVID update.

Anyways, I’m isolating now can’t wait for the result to be out so I can carry on with my life.

Sleep don full my eyes

Congratsssss.
I suppose fly BA to Vancouver Dec 26th o but God knows best. Waiting for things to turn out in our favour. Hopefully I don't have to request refund before then. May Canada favour you.

Good Day my people I’m writing this message with tears in my eyes. I committed my Canada dream to an agent UFITFLY by name since January 23, 2021 application was submitted on April 21, 2021 First Chargeback on July 8, 2021 second Chargeback can you image after I took over the application on my own today November 29, 2021.
See message

What can i do now?

Omo,some people no get conscience oo.
Before dishing out this ban,IRCC must have given them ample time to respond and perhaps remedy the situation. Some of these agents collect huge amount of money just to jeopardize the whole journey. So painful.
I empathize with you and hopefully anyone with an idea of how visa bans can be overturned would step in here.

Am a bit lost here, are we paying total of Cad 11,151.60 per semester? or this amount is for the first year full tuition fee? please get back to me on this

My course requires that I complete 36 credits before completion of my program hence I calculated based on 36 credits using the tuition fee estimator.
Hope that helps.

They dont requireIELTS if you have a C4 in English in your Waec and your University transcript have a B in an English course.
For the refund process, you will only get the refund of your confirmation deposit if your study permit is rejected.

Hi Teekay,

Are you going to KPU?

I believe he meant Johnson is the only available vaccine with a single dose. Others have 2 doses.
Astrazeneca is allowed tho as one as u completed your dosage to be deemed as fully vaccinated.
I also took astazeneca.

Thanks tee
How many days did it take you to receive your stamped passport back

Hi, they received it on the 1st Nov and I got it back today the 15th. I think its majorly because Lag vfs still has to send to Abuja where the stamping is done so it takes a bit longer unlike when u send directly to Abj.
I didn't mind the time-frame tho. I will advise people who can't wait to kuku send directly to Abj.

I sent mine to Lag on Friday 29th and vfs acknowledged on 1st Nov. Although I am yet to receive it back but I know it's been stamped because my LOI has been sent to my profile.
