The information I got just now was that those in account section of our boards inflated our number which reflected on our wage bill to a crazy extent. Thus, prompted the halt of the promotion exercise.
Meanwhile, they have been asked to review it and resubmit for onward action.

The truth is those in account section are not paying us our real salary. My salary increased from 67k to 81k. Suddenly it reduced to 78k. Those people in the account department are not to be trusted.

Insensitive Rivers state government. I have never seen a government that is so docile in workers welfare. A government planing to embark on a 190 billion naira ring road project,while it's workers suffer in penury under this hardship.
Just to promote workers and implement payments has taken almost 3 months.
It's glaring that this government doesn't priotize workers welfare.

Rivers state government should be held accountable for not promoting workers for 12 years and non implementation of the 30k minimum wage. This is the height of wickedness and insensitivity. The state had decided to impoverish it's workers.

Port Harcourt own is even the worst. For 12 years civil servants haven't seen promotion. How can someone that is suppose to be in level 12 is still in level 8. Evil government

what I heard is that they've sent promotion details of LGA zonal ube own to civil service commission to forward to France but you have to find out if your own LGA forward the ones in your LGA.

My great colleagues. Please for now just forget about promotion for the purpose of your sanity. If it comes take it,if it doesn't relax. My only advice is for you all to double or triple your side hustle.
The plan of government for teachers is for us to live in one room batcher,eat one square meal,if you sick you are on your own, your kids should attend free government schools, wear tattered ragged clothes.
So my dear friends just take this job as secondary and your other hustle as primary.

The truth is that they don't care. If the immediate past governor can neglect workers for good 8 years with no promotion, yearly increments as stipulated in Rivers State civil service law, December bonus or any other benefits, what made you think that he would allow his boy “SIM” to better the lots of workers in the state?
To me, the former governor is still in power while the current governor is occupying the office. It's all about “The hands of Esau and the voice of Jacob”. Struggle continues. That's all.

dear dmercy, you have obviously not been reading what I've been writing. Well, to suit your narrative, I used connections, it came from my dept. My dept recommended me for a position. I finished PhD, at the time I finished PhD, dept had less than 10 staff so needed people, I kept in touch, did some task for them when necessary and possible. Always went there almost every week. When opportunity came, dept recommended some persons, not all were employed, msc were turned back, fortunately I was given job, the school gave me transfer of service. I went to board and submitted it. I did not pay anybody and I did not join cult. I prayed alot for favour and I hate when people try to misrepresent me. I had help and it came from my dept. I know that plenty people tried, it did not work out for them and trust me I feel and understand their pain but dont project it on others. Finally, I don't spread fake news and misinformation please, I try to make sure that whatever I say is true.

You have even gone too far by giving out information about this whole thing. If anyone need any further information you can simply private chat him. Nah wah
