Chidibe212: A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Jackson Lekan Ojo has said the coalition African Democratic Congress is justified in its bid to dislodge the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2027.
Ojo argued that the President Bola Tinubu-led administration has destroyed Nigeria beyond repair and that the nation needs urgent rescue.
He said if it was true that past governments failed, then “the government of Tinubu” is a “super failure.”
The politician and political affairs analyst made these remarks while speaking as a guest on a radio programme monitored by THE POINT in Osogbo on Tuesday.
According to him, “The nation’s economy is in shambles, security is in comatose; people are dying daily, many cannot afford to eat. Before, when you have N1,000, you can even invite your friends to take pepper soup and some bottles, but now, N1,000 can not buy a bottle of stout. The present administration has failed Nigerians.
“Nigeria is not moving again. People are dying of hunger. Nothing is working in Nigeria. There is no principle of checks and balances. It has been buried because the people at the National Assembly are rubber stamped. We can not continue like this.”
Both Regions, Tribes and Religions....Tinubulation Tpain touch everybody without missing target
Mr Jackson or whatever you call yourself, change your frequency before 30k data boys will catch or start calling you names. Who gave you the GOTS to criticize their messiah that took dollar from 500 to 1900 thereby reducing our purchasing power to zero? Where you not there when Shetima was shouting " I will handle security and Tinubu will handle economy?" How dare you castigate our improved security when hundred of people are being killed daily?
toffyz: Alaye bring evidence, no court of law will prosecute anyone without evidence. It's a known fact
How silly No evidence but they are arresting people in the name of leaking information. Is that not admittance of guit? Besides one can not leak something that doesn't exist.
Moreso, Has your drunken master shown any evidence against Ameachi?
The most confused legislative house in the world. Few years ago, they voted against even buying electric cars in Nigeria, that it will go against Nigeria's main source of income - crude oil
helinues: Like I said before, Reno has the receipt of how he influenced Peter Obi being Atiku's Vice in 2019.
When I said the Obidients are ingrates with short memory, this is exactly what I was talking about
If at all the said post is true, how those this translates to begging? Reno has not achieved anything apart from being a political dog, who was and who is Reno to decide who becomes Atiku's vice? Even though he tried so much to follow obi's pattern of writing, one can easily see some flaws. Besides, Obi is way above him in all ramifications. What baffles me know is those that claimed his attacks on Tinubu were false are praising to high heavens anything he throws up about Obi.
The same Musa that was spewing rubbish the other day? Can he tell us how far is the supposed village from Yelewata? Is there only one formation they have? Operation that lasted for more than two hours and no security show face?
You weren't able to get across to her, but you paid her training grant for this year. How does that add up oga? Nigerians once in position of authority will always want to paint their incompetence, using official and government apparatus to control the media and public opinion.
flokii: The Fulani elites can't feign Ignorance in all the attrocities being committed by Fulanis (mostly young lads) in Nigeria.. until Nigerians show them that they are neither untouchable nor above the law, they won't stop committing crimes against humanity
Just watch and see how they will free these ones due to order from one big man.. it's only Southerners that are sent to jail in Nigeria, the others from North especially Fulanis can't be jailed or tried in court. One Nigeria indeed.
I think with governor Alia in the picture, the elites Fulani will Abaddon these ones as the sacrificial lambs considering the high tension in the country about Yelewata attack
360degreess: It is not.You see many Africans are ignorant about the Jews. The Jews practice Judaism as their religion and it is not the same as Christianity. The Jews hate both Christians and Muslims.Infact, they consider Christianity as the most downgraded religion.Do you know that there are far more Muslims in Israel than Christians?,also there are far more mosques in Israel than there are churches?. But most Christians are not aware that is why they see Jews as their gods.
Simple question, you are speaking in tongues. There are no two Israel in the world. Israel as a nation predates the names of religion you are calling. So to answer the op, yes is the same Israel in the bible.
Uganda’s 86-Year-Old Lawmaker Moses Ali Seeks Another Term After 54 Years in Government
Lieutenant General Moses Ali, Uganda’s 86-year-old Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister, is urging his constituents to re-elect him for another term.
With over five decades of continuous service in government, the veteran lawmaker continues to play a prominent role in the country's political landscape.
What is wrong with these African power drunk politicians? Ugandans voting for those great Grand father's are not serious. You are really readers but not leaders of tomorrow.
Botragelad: Funny. Iran’s incompetence is on full display Mossad operates without resistance . For those unaware, this man replaced Major General Gholam Ali Rashid (see image and Wikipedia source). He barely held his position for few days before meeting his deserved end. This one was appointed by Ali Khameini himself. Lol
Take note: Israel does not waste time with petty online propaganda, begging for likes or validation unlike the Islamic Republic of Iran, which floods Twitter with empty threats.
When Israel marks a target, elimination is inevitable. No amount of noise will change that. Reality is not measured in viral tweets or firing missile blindly,it is measured in precision, power, and decisive action.
Israel will dismantle the regime piece by piece, at a time and place of choosing, to satisfaction. Intelligence wins wars, not keyboard warriors or failed rocket attack.
To every remaining officer in Iran’s forces, if you’re still alive, either you’re irrelevant or you’re one of ***. Israel is clearing the path, mossad assets will rise and assume those roles, and the regime will rot from within.
The paranoia in Tehran is palpable. 😂😂
Israel is replicating the Hamas strategy here, struck the help and the rest is confusion
Nigeria will only be better when we put away stupidity, religion, tribal and political sentiment. Do you know there's a standard that qualifies a road? Even a street can't be 300 meters. And using one idiot social media post as your source is the highest form of ignorance. Have you seen the contractual agreement of the said roads? These are in the public domain. And the choice of Dr Alex Otti who's performing wonders makes me understand Nigerian youth are indeed lazy like buhari said.
Just two weeks ago, the media space was awash with headlines celebrating the federal government’s claim of having cleared the IMF loan. The Tinubu-led administration was showered with praises, hailed for what many termed an “uncommon achievement.” Supporters and propagandists sang loudly in favor of the development, presenting it as a bold step towards financial sovereignty.
However, as is often the case in our polity, a different set of voices raised valid concerns. They questioned the credibility of the payment, the underlying motives, and the long-term implications. Public commentators like Reno Omokri were quick to ridicule these dissenting voices, dismissing their skepticism as political cynicism.
But just as the dust was settling on the IMF loan repayment narrative, Nigerians woke up to another jaw-dropping announcement — the federal government has secured a fresh loan from Japan amounting to ¥15 billion (approximately $110 million). The contradiction is too glaring to ignore. Why go through the motions of celebrating the clearance of one debt, only to immediately plunge the nation into another? Is this a sign of thoughtful fiscal planning, or a reflection of knee-jerk, reflexive policy decisions lacking coordination?
What’s even more perplexing is the stated purpose of this new loan: agricultural development. We are already halfway through the year. What kind of agricultural intervention are we realistically planning at this stage? What crops or projects are we targeting, and in which regions? What is the disbursement strategy? What’s the projected return on investment? These are fundamental questions that remain unanswered, leaving citizens in the dark.
We are also reminded, time and again, by the Finance Minister, that the removal of fuel subsidy has resulted in massive savings. In various interviews and public statements, she has spoken of billions of naira being freed up for development. But where are the tangible results of these “savings”? Were they mere figures for the headlines, or are they being hoarded for other undisclosed purposes? Or worse still — are these savings merely audio promises while the actual policy results remain buried in bureaucracy?
It is not unpatriotic to ask these questions. In fact, it is our civic responsibility. We are not against progress. We are simply demanding transparency, accountability, and strategic coordination in governance. Borrowing is not inherently bad — but borrowing without a clear plan, in the midst of so-called savings, and with no visible results to show, is both economically dangerous and morally unacceptable.
If indeed loans must be taken, the government must be clear on three things:
1. The problem the loan is solving 2. The structure of disbursement and timeline 3. The measurable impact on citizens
Without answers to these, it becomes difficult to distinguish the current administration’s fiscal actions from the habitual mismanagement that has plagued past governments. Nigerians deserve more than vague press releases and empty celebrations. We demand clarity, coordination, and above all, competence.
Aliko Dangote like APC is one of the problems we have in Nigeria for saying that. Did he consider standard of living across African countries? Is he aware that $1 today is just 10 GHANA cides? Will Nigerians be complaining if they are buying fuel #100?
ALTERNATEID: Some of you are easily carried away with big grammars. Budgit has not unraveled anything new. The so called insertions are simply constituency projects nominated by senators and House of Representatives members all over the country. APC, PDP, LP, SDP etc all got an equal share of the goodies.
It is a practice that started during the Obasanjo administration and it is not going to stop anytime soon irrespective of who becomes the president. Any president that tries to stop it will simply have himself to blame as the will not just delay the passage of the budget, they will totally mutilate it.
The only way to stop the budget padding is to amend the constitution and remove the power of the National Assembly to appropriate funds. Now, how do you amend the law to remove the power when it is the same National Assembly that has the power to amend the constitution?
You have brilliantly justify this corrupt act, now tell show me these so called constituency projects done by your rep member or senator? National assembly is not there to budget for projects at the expenses of Nigerians, let the stealing stop. If they have any meaningful projects, they normally presented it as a bill and once signed into law law, federal government takes over the execution.
Tinubuadvocate: Please where is humanity why world leaders folding hands watching Israel to wipe out the whole of Gaza? Yesterday Israel said they want to be fully control Gaza it seems the issues isn't about west bank and Jerusalem anymore.
How can you say you will control the whole state? World leaders should come to the aides of gaza before they wipe them out from surface of earth.
About 14k kiddos will die tonight except they were reach out?
Gaza need independence world should recognize state of gaza as a sovereign nation enough is enough.
What Nigerian government have to sanction Israel with, is it Boko Haram or armed Fulani herdsmen?
In Nigeria today, there's a girl standing trial in sharia court because she converts to Christianity, who are you calling to rescue her?
I think Prof Utomi should really fight for the soul of Nigeria if he is really serious about it. This shadow govt of a thing is still a superficial part of the battle, it reminds one of Patito's gang and the Mega Party he wanted to form.
Sir, you and I are supposed to be friends and we have come across each,to the best of recollection, twice.
To really win the soul of Nigeria, set up political radio stations across Nigeria as Tinubu did and take over a national newspaper fully to propagate your ideas just like President Tinubu. The current President owns the Nation and has a substantial investment in the Punch.
You need to give your competitors a good run for their money. You might not end being the president cos you are a minority, but posterity will remember you for a job well done.
Please who can help link me with Prof Pat, I have a massage and contribution to give him.
Now it's clear that Abure and co is working for APC. Nigerian politicians are brainless in their doings. Committee was set up on 2nd, sat without the affected persons and submitted it's report in less than 4 days. 🤔
AyeMoJuba: What about when national security is threatened by either the actions or in actions of the state? Remember the federal allocates security funds monthly to States... What have those 2 States bn doing with the security funds they get every month?
Have you read the petition? What has that to do with ambiguous national security? Why is brono not on state of emergency Mr national security?
Chucks13: Wait oo so for Wike to apologized over this horrible conduct is wrong or what? I'm still in shock seen Rivers people behaving these bad filled with hate and anger simply they sold themselves to that evil obidient carnage.
Pls I never knew Rivers people to be these bad in character, lost manners and embraced hate since 2023 pls what kind of evil vices are all these Rivers people?
You want peace but kept pouring petrol to fire, peace won't come. Either you slam wike or not Fubara won't return till after his six months is completed so pls do your worst.
It's your type that's giving bad name to Nigerian youth just because of mere leftovers. When Tinubu wife was booed in delta state, did heaven fall? Was it fubara that caused it? Lazy youths
