Makinde is hell bent on spending Oyo state's resources on frivolous and fruitless endeavor as well as his unrealistic ambition. A so called opposition summit without APGA, SDP, NNPP, LP, and PDP (Wike's camp), is that one opposition summit OR an Amala summit?. These guys joke way too much.

He developed it so much that all the residents prefer Lagos to Heaven.
Even Obi himself lives in Lagos rather than the place he governed for 8 years This stupid obsession with Lagos speak volumes of your knowledge base. Lagos was Nigeria's capital for years before Babangida moved it to Abuja. All the bridges, development was either done in the days of capital city or during military regimes. Can you with every sense of responsibility point to 5 major projects initiated and completed by Tinubu that makes Lagos what it is today? You can't be jumping up and down like headless chicken 🐔 claiming Tinubu developed Lagos without verifiable facts. Also Lagos is home to all cooperate entities in the country for being the capital city and not by the state government making. That's tasks that ought to be paid to other states are being paid to Lagos. Nigerian ports are located in Lagos, this makes it and it's environs more suitable for business. These and many more are facts that put Lagos ahead of others and not the works of your agbado president. A niaralander from middle belt. |

Politics › Re: I Know Why Kwankwaso Refused To Join APC by telleyway: 7:58pm On Jan 18 |
Odin13: Obi will deputized Atiku for tinubu to go., Kwankwaso has No influence outside Kano and jigawa.. likewise tambuwal.
Outside Atiku and Obi the rest are just like ambode in Lagos or mimiko in ondo
They’re walkover for tinubu, he won’t even rig and will still win before materials are distributed.
Tinubu can’t give kwankwaso vp.. he knows their worth and strenghts. If not for his useless policies greed and tribalism.. 2027 would have been an easy ride for tinubu..but now is him against the people of Nigeria . If not he wouldn’t have need for kwankwaso and Kano governo, he already have strong politicians from northwest to deliver northwest. Shettima. Will still run with tinubu as Vp against all odds , he need a force in the northeast and that’s his strength .. plus America minus America till will still run the mu mu ticket again .. Oga is looking for votes and wish to run a semi credible election .. the more you look the more you see the less you understand.. and he knows ADC will give Atiku the ticket and Obi will vice him , forget Obidients and noise .. southern Nigeria is already choked and he can’t get much votes from the south plus the governors suppressing votes minus their rigging .. so he needs his northeast shettimaans north central to build his remaining votes .. northwest it’s his political strength . Kano and kwankwaso are just his media noises to tension ganduje and senate deputy.
Las las he will lose .. the entire Arewa have not heard it this bad since 1960.. though this year has been fair to us in Kano.. prices of food has come down real quick and if he sustain the tempo.. he might win back votes , how ever the northeast still remains a closed zone for him.
Vote Atiku/obi That’s the winning ticket One thing with Nigeria pattern of voting as witnessed in the last election, apart from vote buying and broad daylight rigging, governors have little or no effect on the outcome of the election. Last year you saw how states votes different parties for different positions. If on the ballot, Obi will win all southeastern states with very wide margin. Lagos will still be a battle ground despite the last intimidation. With America's eyes on the APC government, rigging with impunity will trigger unwanted effects. |

press9jatv: The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the official schedule of activities for its 2025/2026 nationwide congresses and national convention, outlining key dates for membership registration and leadership selection at all levels of the party.
According to the timetable, the party will commence its membership e-registration exercise nationwide from December 1, 2025, to January 30, 2026. The exercise is aimed at updating the party’s membership database ahead of the congresses.
Ward congresses are scheduled to be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, followed by local government congresses on Friday, February 20, 2026.
The state congresses, during which state party executives are expected to emerge, will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Zonal congresses across the six geopolitical zones of the country have been fixed for Saturday, March 21, 2026. These will pave the way for the party’s national convention.
The APC National Convention is scheduled to be held from Wednesday, March 25, to Saturday, March 28, 2026. At the convention, national officers of the party are expected to be elected and key policy directions outlined.

Politics › Re: PDP Betrayed Atiku by telleyway: 8:01am On Jan 15 |
OOAkolawole: Let’s reflect on this carefully. Within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) zoning ideology, the principle of rotation is meant to ensure fairness between the North and the South in Nigeria’s presidential contests. By that standard, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, arguably owes an apology to Atiku Abubakar.
If PDP truly respects its zoning principle, Atiku Abubakar’s claim is not misplaced. The party produced a southern president twice: first, Olusegun Obasanjo served two terms, and later, after the death of President Musa Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan, also a southerner, completed a term and was elected for a second. By contrast, a northerner has never served two full terms consecutively under PDP.
This makes Atiku Abubakar’s decision to contest both logical and consistent with the party’s own zoning ideology. If the PDP principle of rotation is to be upheld, the so-called “G5” governors—the influential group of five PDP governors—should have acknowledged this and, at the very least, apologized to the former Vice President.
Zoning is not merely a suggestion; it is the party’s commitment to equity among Nigeria’s geopolitical zones. Ignoring it risks undermining both PDP’s credibility and the very democratic values it claims to uphold. By adhering strictly to the zoning arrangement, the party ensures fairness, balance, and trust—principles that Atiku’s candidacy underscores within the PDP framework. These APC appendixes are always out to confuse and make gullible people believe they know it all. In as much as I hate wike and his unruly behavior, PDP as a party owes Atiku absolutely nothing. Rather his over zealous ambition destroyed I the party. Under it's platform, Atiku became vice president for 8 years. When he couldn't get the ticket to succeed Obasanjo, he decamped and contested on AC platform against Yaradua. He later returned when Yaradua died with the believe it was North's turn. Again when he couldn't get the ticket, he decamped, joined forces to form APC which later destroyed PDP in 2011. Only when he couldn't restle the ticket from Buhari that he came back in 2019 with Obi as his running mate. Now, is PDP or being president his personal property? He was happy when wike pursued the likes of Obi out of the party and kept mute but when it reaches his turn, you are here spewing trash? Then let me tell you, even in ADC, if Atiku insisted on being on the ballot or having his way as usual the way he does in PDP, that would be the end of the beginning. |

Amongst all available candidates, only Atiku would give Tinubu a run for his money even though my permutation tells me that Tinubu will win and complete his tenure. Adeyanju the last time I checked was a critic of Obi, why the sudden concern now? The answer is simple, he's only playing mind games to sway emotions in support of Tinubu. As far as Nigeria is concerned, the new face of democracy now is Peter Obi, that's why they're attacking him day and night. Obi with a credible northerner and Tinubu is gone before noon. |

jesusjnr2020: Another post I saw on social media about the Christmas tree made so much sense.
It was so comprehensive and detailed, it touched on just about every aspect of the tree, from the top to the bottom and also the shape.
See it for yourself below A Brief History of Santa Claus – The Wildcat Santa Claus is a legendary figure, the patron saint of children, known for bringing gifts on Christmas Eve, evolving from the historical Saint Nicholas, a generous 4th-century bishop in Turkey, blended with Germanic folklore and English figures like Father Christmas, shaped into the jolly, red-suited man with a white beard who lives at the North Pole, makes toys with elves, and travels in a reindeer-pulled sleigh. Historical Origins (Saint Nicholas) Real Person: The legend stems from Nicholas of Myra (modern-day Turkey), a wealthy Christian bishop known for his secret gift-giving and kindness to the poor. Name Origin: His name comes from the Dutch "Sinterklaas," a shortened form of "Sint Nikolaas" (Saint Nicholas). Evolution into Modern Santa Dutch Influence: Dutch settlers brought the Sinterklaas tradition to New Amsterdam (New York), where gift-giving on St. Nicholas' Day (December 6th) became popular. Americanization: In the 19th century, writers like Clement Clarke Moore ("A Visit from St. Nicholas" and Thomas Nast (cartoonist) solidified the image of a jolly, portly man in a fur-trimmed suit with a sleigh and reindeer. Father Christmas: The English figure of Father Christmas, symbolizing festive merriment, merged with Santa, creating the cheerful icon seen today. The Modern Legend The Man: A portly, jolly man with a white beard, rosy cheeks, and glasses, wearing a red suit. His Home: The North Pole, where he lives with his wife, Mrs. Claus, and his workshop elves. His Ride: A sleigh pulled by flying reindeer (including Rudolph). His Mission: To deliver toys and gifts to good children worldwide on Christmas Eve, often coming down chimneys. God bless. |
