im currently in canada and trying to apply for CEC. I need foreign work experience. I have 7 months of valid foreign experience (in Nigeria) that I can add now, but it's not enough. I need to find some other way to make up the remaining 5 months of work so I am thinking I can use NYSC.

is this possible? to use NYSC as work experience? it was by the government and I was paid for it so I should but im not sure.

if anyone has done this and was successful in their PR application can I know? and if so what did you add to your application. I have my Nysc certificate of completion along with pictures, but I dont have paystubs and would need to get them. how do I even go about that...

Ideally, you shouldn’t have to contact your school. MCC will reach out to them directly. If MCC is having issues getting a response from the school, they will let you know through the physicians apply portal. Only then would you need to reach out to the school.

There is no need to source verify number 2 and 3. No need to source verify what you cannot get an ECA report for or what will not add point to your CRS score. You will have wasted money for the SVR.
Source verify your MBBS degree alone and then request for ECA report. Your MBBS degree will be evaluated as a Master's degree equivalent and that already gives you more points that any other two degrees you might want to combine.

Passport: Yes, you need to have it notarized by a Lawyer. Take the coloured scanned bio data page to a Lawyer and tell them you want to "notorize a document"

I have the following certificate that I want to source verify on physicians apply (MCC)

1. Medical degree - Bachelor’s in Medicine & Surgery
2. MDCN full registration as a medical practitioner
3. Post graduate diploma in anaesthesia

Is it advisable to source verify all three certificates, and what would they be classified as after evaluation.

My second question is regarding the uploading of International Passport, Photograph & Signature on the portal.

It came back rejected on the portal that my passport is not certified per their requirements, and on my further review, I read that it needs to be certified by the notary public, a lawyer or first class magistrate.

Who has done this process before and how do I go about it.

You need at least, a CLB 7 in TEF/TCF to be eligible for French proficiency draws.

Boomer!!!! We also missed the draw by 9 points. I have an option of adding the Masters of my spouse( which gives us 10 extra points) but whats on my mind is that the scores might go higher or lower and in both cases the points would not really help. Any advise guys??

1. There is no official comms from Ontario to this effect, through draws haven’t happened in weeks now.

2. There has never been anything like “conversion of study permit to PR” so that news is greatly misleading. That pathway never existed. Don’t be misled by rubbish blogs. Every international student/graduate will apply for PR the same way everyone else does.

You can't do anything about what you can see on that page. You have to wait to be approved to book an appointment.

Maybe you can use the "provide feedback" section to raise a ticket and see if a speedy resolution can come from there.

From what you have described, it appears there is nothing you can do.

An alternative you can consider exploring however is to switch to Abuja and see if dates show up.

Please be aware that (as a F-1 visa applicant) before you even step into the cubicle to talk to the VO, you are already presumed to be an "intending immigrant" and the onus lies on you to convince the VO through your answers that you are not.

Any statement from you that gives off an idea of a pathway to immigration is not going to do you any good during the interview.

Moreover, your program might require you to partake in CPT (which is an internship during your program) anyways.

Please, do not bring up an "internship" if and when asked what you will be doing after you complete your studies.

You can choose to ascribe your own subjective interpretation you like to the code name of a DOS document. It does not change the actual name and meaning of the document.

And it’s funny you think the screenshots you have shared backs up your personal interpretation. The actual name of the document is literally stated in the same screenshots you posted and the conditions to which it can be approved. An “admission letter” only requires you to apply and the admission committee to find you worthy. Form I-20 requires an additional move from you after being issued your admission letter. To infer that they are the same thing is misleading, borderline ignorant and mischievous.

You are not above correction, man. You don’t know it all.

Take correction with humility and come off your high horse.

Finally, you are not in any position to tell me what i can comment on, who i can quote or infer someone else’s post is unnecessary.

1. Form I-20 to me is admission letter (in summary) and nothing can change it. Form I 20 consist of admission letter , sevis info, etc and together it is called Admission Pack.

Correction: Form I-20 is not "admission letter"

Form I-20 is code name for "Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status"

The only similarity is that both documents are issued by the school.

Admission letter is issued when an admission decision has been made on your application while i-20 is mostly issued after you have sent evidence of financial ability to cover for your studies.

1. Form-120 means " Admission Pack/Letter. Only USA use the term " form-i20 because Americans sees themselves as distinct in qualities than others and that is why they remain number 1. Other countries like UK, Canada, Australia , Nigeria , etc call it (Form-120) Admission letter. In summary, Americans use the term Form-120 to mean Admission letter.

2. DS-160 is the online data and information form which the USA embassy has mandated all visa applicants to fill (for free) and bring the confirmation page (after filling the form) along on the day of your visa interview. DS-160 also known as VISA application form is a very very important form because what you inputted inside DS-160 is what the USA visa officer will use to ask you question on the day of your interview.

3. Mock Sessions means the act of practising and knowing the possible questions and answers which the visa officer is likely to ask you on the day of your interview. No matter the program you are going for and no matter your circumstances you have to beleive that some people have been in that situation before. Therefore, mock session is to train you how to answer Visa Officer on the day of your interview.

4. There is no official group to join as at the time of responding to you but the moderator of this section may authorize such group as time goes by. Anyways, unless specified otherwise, whenever an institution requests for a bank statement, they require a run of 6 months.

Please, it has been a over a week that I submitted the interview date application on the CGI portal, and got the response that I would receive an email once my application is approved.

All they are asking you is to present a bank statement whose "closing date" is within the last 3 months.

There is no deadline. Depends on your school, how fast you send them what they ask for and your follow up.
