Yeah Right, Merit. In Nigeria. This 21st Century. From reliable sources, the a.sswipes to be employed already know themselves. The test n all was to fulfill legal requirements. They requested for ppl with Comp Sc background but asking Civil Engineering questions. Nepotism is the name of the game. |

dupyshoo: It is entirely your choice to use or not to use an agent. However, I will like to know the information they know that we don't know. I am of the opinion that all the information your require are online and can be easily found if you don't mind doing your research. I don't see any way agents will help with your work experience except if they are going to falsify work experiences for you. I stand to be corrected though. The standard documents you require are POF, letter of employment, PCC, IELTS, WES, passports, medicals, birth certificate and degree certificates. Ideally, agents can't change the details in any of the information and you will be the one to get this information and later give it to your agent.
I will only recommend you use an agent if you are too busy and you have a lot of money to spare.
On a lighter note, you can pay me half of the money and I will help with your application. You can be rest assured that I will be genuine and I am good as well . Thanks Bro, I'll continue on my own. No need to dash money wey no dey. |

trishachi: @irondome Its just that the transcript request for my school (UK) is an online process with no option for uploading any document. I think I will just contact the school directly and see how they can help out with that.
Thank you. I appreciate the advice UK schools are very familiar with WES, I schooled in UK too and I requested that my transcript be sent to WES. Fill your part of that form and scan to your school, contact them first n tell them u wanna verify your result with WES. I paid for the transcript and delivery fee, my transcript got to WES in two days and I saw it ticked on my WES account. It's the easiest process unlike my naija transcript that I've been trying to collect since 1759. |

irondome: It could mean WES has all what they need evaluate your application. In own case, they ignore the delay by my Naija university and went ahead to evaluate my foreign master's degree. When I called on the phone, they confirmed they did that because CRS points are awarded according to the highest degree obtained.
However, the dynamics changes with " 2 or more degrees" category, however, one can assume that WES either has what it needs to evaluate your degrees as equivalent to "2 or more degrees) or they have decided your equivalence would be "Bachelor". In the case of the latter, your OND becomes insignificant to your overall equivalence, as my bachelor was. Bro, pls clarify. I'm in the situation where my UK MSc has been received n verified since 1759 but my naija BSc is taking forever, will they just ignore the BSc and provide a report based on the MSc alone? Since CRS points will be given based on my MSc anyways..Reply would be appreciated. Ta |

tundechange: Hi guys, how is ur day going?
Pls, I sent my credentials (ND & B.Sc) to WES for evaluation. WES sent out verification letters to both institutions. D University got d their by regular mail, responded & receipt of response letter acknowledged by WES. However, d poly is yet to receive their letter by either regarded mail or email but they had been sent by WES. Just checked my account now and my status reads "documents recieved, review in progress". My questions are:
Will WES go ahead with d evaluation without verification of my ND credentials? If yes, will they institutions be included in their summary?
Secondly, if they do only capture my degree, can I request that they send another verification letter to poly for them to verify to enable WES include my ND in d their summary report?
Lastly, how soon will my evaluation report be ready after receipt of the school's confirmation by WES?
Thank you. From my little knowledge, WES will not evaluate credentials not verified by institutions. Don't think WES will omit your ND cos it's part of what you paid for except you instruct them to. Allow some more time for the poly to receive the letters from WES or go to the school and ensure no one is slacking at their job. It takes WES 20 working days to prepare your report, that's from when they have received verification from all the institutions you listed. Pls correct me if I'm wrong. |

Fusion23: New IELTS result out Listening 8.5 , Speaking 7.5 , Writing 7 and speaking 7.5 , my crs score is currently on 475... however due to fear if the unknown I was under pressure to book to ielts just in case I didn't pass at the second attempt..the result is my 2nd.attempt. So am also booked for the exam on July 16 , but I missed my speaking test today ..thou i can do without the exam. I want to know if the speaking test can be re-scheduled.
Wont mind trying the exam again without pressure...at least for my 52K
Will appreciate suggestions. I dey envy u o, me wey dey find 0.5. Unfortunately the Speaking test cannot be rescheduled. My advice, sit ur ass at home. U can't get a refund and since u already missed speaking and u have d results u want already, why bother. Get ur application rolling bro.. |

debeams: Your result is great actually, but there's something greater that's having 7 instead of the 6.5 that little 0.5 mark may be costing you as much as 60/50 marks in your cars which may save you the hurdle of scouting for pnp depending on your age & qualifications. So say you're in your mid 30s or 40s and have only Bsc qualification then, you need not bother yourself with the EOR for 0.5. Jeez, how about early 30s with a UK uni MSc? Shd I still search for the bastard 0.5 mark? |

emiye: hmmm, good advice. My situation is similar to yours, infact we took d exam d same day. My LRSW 8 8.5 7.5 6.5. I applied for a remark on june 20, i have my fingers crossed as i await a positive news. I must confess i am taking d risk because it is my second attempt, and i have got comparative weakness with listening where i need a minimum of 8. I cant afford to take another exam without bringiing closure to this one, There is no guarantee i will score an 8 or more in my 3rd attempt for listening. Also, i scored a 7 in writing in my first attempt. LRSW 7.5 7.5 7.5 7 Spoke with a couple of people, two well known agents as well and they said my result is very ok to carry on, LRSW 9,8,7,6.5 now I'm confused. With ur result, is it that canada won't accept it cos it's a good score if u ask me. Wasting 52k every time is tiring abeg. I don't even have the cash. There has to be a way to do something with this result, what u think? |

debeams: But if it works out, you will have your 15k back plus you don't ve to go through the rigor of rewriting and aiming for a high score in all, all over again. I'm equally in your shoe, my results from 4th June was 8.5,8.5, 7, 6.5 - LRSW and I immediately returned it for EOR. I know it's a risk but since it's writing I choose to believe God & be optimistic. Btw that was my 3rd attempt with my last result being 6.5,7,7,7.5 - LRWS. So you and mind you the cash ain't even @ my disposal. So I understand your stance but I think the risk is worth it. I don't normally put me out there but just thought I might encourage you with this. So make your pick on what it shall be. Thanks a lot, to be honest I'm still torn on what to do. What I noticed after the writing was that my word count was quite low but structure, grammar n all were very ok. Dunno if word count alone would make me go that low. Still undecided about what to do. |

debeams: If your 6.5 is either in writing or speaking, do you want to reconsider Enquiry on Result (remarking) Writing. Problem with remarking is if outcome remains the same 15k is gone plus I now have to look for another 52k for another exam. |

proddey: I wrote the PMP paper based test in Lagos on May 7th 2016 as CBT has been cancelled in Nigeria for some years now, and I passed at first attempt! I'm here to assist those who are also seeking to obtain this global certification.
How I prepared I spent exactly 5 weeks of study. Developed a study guide/ daily time table and was reading for about 5-6 hrs per day since I wasn't working so I studied full time.
Study Materials I used I used Rita Mulcahy's book "PMP Exam Prep" which I read over once and revised it once. I watched all the PM prepcast videos by Cornelius Fitchner and listened to all the audio CD's in Andy Crowe's "Conversations on the PMP exam" these three materials were all very very good and I strongly recommend them to anyone preparing to take the exam. I never read the PMBOK guide as it was too boring and difficult to understand so I only used it as a reference guide. The PMBOK guide in itself is inadequate as it only covers about 70% of the curriculum of the PMP exam. You'll need to use additional materials as well.
I took all the tests in Rita's book and scored on average 77.5%. I also took all the assessment tests in the end of all the prepcast videos and scored an average of 79%. There are lots of tips, tricks and secrets for preparing and getting the answers right in the exam which I learnt from the study materials I used.
Before the exam A week to the exam I felt I hadn't studied enough so I was scared that I might not pass so I tried to postpone / cancel the exam but I found out that it wasn't possible on the PBT . To cancel or postpone a PBT you'd have to do it 35 days prior to the exam. I eventually just decided to take the exam anyway based on what I had studied so far.
The exam day The invigilators didn't allow us to use the dumpsheet before the exam started unlike on the CBT that you are given 15 mins before the exam to use the dumpsheet. There weren't more than 4 calculation questions and they were quite easy. Overall I felt the exam was very difficult as I only answered about 185 questions out of 200. I had to just guess the remaining 15 questions. I felt my chances of passing were 50:50. I had made up my mind that if I didn't pass, I would just resit the exam 3 months later in August. So I hoped for the best but prepared for the worst.
The results came out after 10 days by email as it was a PBT. I passed and I'm PMP certified now!!
Are you preparing to take PMP exam in Lagos? Would you like to have the study materials I used? then send me an email a2space2015@gmail.com and request for the materials.
I will also share with you some tips and tricks for passing the exam on the first try. Congrats bro, pls can u send materials to temitope0606@gmail.com |
