I got my PPR since October but I am yet to travel. Looking at d inevitable expenses that awaits me, and the uncertainty as regards securing a well paid job gives me sleepless night, and I believe sharing my story could ease the pressure i'm experiencing at the moment.

I have 4yrs experience as an underwriter (life department) in an insurance company. I will appreciate if I can get a warm advise from u guys. Working in my field is not a big deal as I am open to a switch in career.

Everyone relocating has these problems and fears bro, i don't sleep well too cos i worry all the time abt moving. Sometimes i even wanna return the visa and stay put but it's a normal fear of the unknown and not wanting to leave where you're already comfortable. It all lies within you, no one can decide or plan any move for you but i know that if u work hard and work smart, you will be successful anywhere in this world, maybe except naija sha cos here na another level.

I am hoping to re locate to canada early 2018. Either as a student or PR. I am currently a banker in nigeria, 33 yrs , single , male, reasonably comfortable. There's too much cold in Canada for that long distance relationship to work, just go there and do all ur loving there. If u had something serious already, would av been a diff story.

Don't fall into illegal status. Come back so that you can apply to other countries. If you are illegal in a country, you won't be able to apply to Canada or Australia. Come back with a mindset that it is a temporary move whilst you use the $30k as proof of funds.

Just come back to avoid being an illegal, keep ur head somewhere safe, with ur degrees, experience and ur 30k, Canada/Aus will give you PR six months after applying, for ur own safety, avoid everyday club going friends, nobody cares abt u here, they will organise ur kidnapping in a heartbeat and i take God beg u, flee from naija slay queens, don't let bleached skin and yansh fool you, ur funds will reduce to crumbs in one week (see what i did there??). Pack ur pof and relocate to abroad as soon as, this is not the time to relocate permanently to Nigeria at all.

Morning guys, please read this especially those that haven't submitted their applications. Boss13 stretched his opinions a bit to the panic causing state but he's telling the truth. The idea with every aspect of your application is to convince the VO beyond reasonable doubt that you are telling the truth. The picture taking part is very far fetched but i'm telling you that if you submit only a Reference letter and your application ends up in the London VO office, chances of them asking for adr is 80%. I am in a London whats-app group and a lot, i mean a lot of ppl were later asked for payslips, tax clearance and account showing salary deposits including me. A lot were asked for 1 year of payslips and salary deposits, over 50 ppl have been asked for this which i know of. I was even asked to resubmit a more recent bank statement so they can ascertain that my gift deed was not a fugazi. London VO don't mess around o. This is not to put ppl in panic mode but this is the reality, try and submit payslips along with salary deposits if you can, believe me it will make you sleep better. Some timelines here are very lovely, 19 days, 2 months etc but London VO? 8 months full there, the average is like 6 months, my ppr came at 5 months plus and ppl were saying it was fast. I can't even begin to talk abt ppl's cases here cos i'm not authorized to do so and they will know it's me. Bottom line is be proactive, be ready, if you're not asked, lucky you but be prepared.

- IELTS: LRSW 8 8.5 8.5 8 One attempt
- CRS: 413 ITA cut off: 413
- POF: I edited amount Post-ITA to exactly 12,300CAD and did not write LOE. Gift deed was 90% of POF from my uncle. I got the bank reference letter in CIC format from UBA, so I did not attach statements of accounts.
- NOC code: I edited the NOC code post ITA and did not write LOE.
- Employment: I used my NYSC experience from 7 years ago alone. Got a reference letter from ppa and that was all I attached. No complimentary cards or proof of payment. Presently unemployed as well.
- I submitted schedule A upfront as I had 3 US visa denials in the past.
- LOE: I attached LOE in individual placeholders as needed eg LOE for FBI PCC in Police reports, LOE for gift deed in POF etc. Non-specific ones were in LOE placeholder.

Can you have gaps in employment? YES. Can you apply while unemployed? YES. Can you edit NOC and POF post ITA? YES. Can you use a gift deed? YES. Can you use NYSC? YES pls! Was I determined? YES. Was I the most qualified? NO! The Lord looked upon me in His mercy and love and honoured me. I remain forever grateful.
