Laworldz: God bless you for saying the truth. It’s like people enjoy being lied to. Going for an undergrad at that age is extremely hard getting the visa. If he has money, he can go to UK or EU and find his way to where he wants from there. That’s an easier route. If it’s a masters degree for that age, better chance. But all these ones like people feeding their emotions. I wonder o my brother, you know the truth is bitter, going for an undergraduate at that age might give red flag. And not waist money or disappointment he/she should go to Europe with better chance, and after completing his/her studies from there, it will be easy to relocate and move on. Except he/she have money to spend, he can go to UK. SIMPLE! I don't know why people refuse to understand something or someone. Are they not human being that are there? Doing well self.. What matter most is the Grace and Mercy of God. Thanks my brother for your understanding jare |

Gokoyer1401: Do you have an idea what he will end up doing in Europe? What will he end up doing? Than to study there, I mean do his undergraduate there and after that, he can further more if he want to do his Masters. And by doing that, he will also be working. Except for the language barrier. And there are some people I mean Nigerians that are also there, and they are okay. And after his studies he can relocate. Abi what else? And moreover, am just suggesting. Or do you also have an idea of what he will end up doing in US? You are not God nah. |

ikswiss: I met a Uganda Guy who was on scholarship but I think Sweden have an agreement with Ugandan government other than that, I haven’t met anyone on scholarship.
Please I also have to mention, Sweden is amazing but if you coming over here with a dream of working while schooling please rethink your country of choice as it’s not easy here.
My candid advice for anyone planning to study here and pay that massive tuition is to move to an English speaking country.
Oh I also have to say there is opportunities here as well but is hard as Bleep if you don’t have contacts or an A+ student. Most foreigners I have met here since I moved here are working with IT and Engineering firms cos the language is not a requirement.
If you coming here for any other programs is hard as a rock to get into the labor market.
Goodluck guys Which one is A+Student please? |

Helkayklassic: shegzb50 please don’t take this advice. If you lie and you are eventually caught, do you know what that means? As long as your brother is now legal, no need lieing. I know what am saying. Am not giving bad advice, and I will not do that. Although in some cases they don't mind, depending on how you got there. But in this case with what I've hard, I doubt it. Anyways, he/she can try what you said. I wish him/her best of luck |

owagbeba: Noooo! Chance dey. The visa na try your luck. With BABA on your side you fit get am.
Outside the factors wey we no fit control, make we try package well those factors we get control over.
I just dey highlight the factors wey VO fit pick on. You see that transition from secondary to poly, you need package am well; because na the first question wey she go throw you: “what have you been doing?” If you no answer well.... lobatan!
If better funding dey, VO no go too look sponsor side.
Normally These factors “dey help” visa issuance: Previous travel to yankee Previous travel to EU & North America First degree - masters correlation First degree - current job correlation Full funding Current employer ( popular the better) Secured employment after graduation Iyawo & pikin (masters)
But then ... take your time, package am well, no rush am. Try reason the matter the way oyibo go reason am. Remember them sabi say hungry dey country, everybody wan japa.
No vex say I dey write for pidgin, those oyibo for embassy dey follow read this thread. Please can we talk on WhatsApp or email, I need your advice on somethings. Thanks so much |

ayotunde005: .Status: Visa Denied Location: Abuja. Teaching Assistant with Tuition waiver and stipend. Deficit: 9k.
People of God, I didn't want to post anything about this very weird experience of mine initially but I thought Bleep it, just share it with these people, they've been good to you. They can learn ( or unlearn as the case may be). So here goes the event:
The VO: Next Me: I walked up to him. He even greeted me first and I responded appropriately. VO: Please pass your documents and passport (I forwarded them to him) VO: He starts typing. He typed and typed and typed and typed. Me: I waited patiently initially but then after 30 seconds of typing without any verbal interaction I started some shifting movements to get his attention. VO: So I can see here you have a graduate assistantship award. Me: Yes, but it's actually a Teaching Assistantship that comes with... (VO cuts me here) VO: It's OK and continues typing. Me: At this point I was getting worried. In my mind I was begging him : please ask me something, anything.. Pleaseeee. I have waited 3 months to secure this date.. Please look at meeeeee. (Crying inside) VO: (Coughs) Unfortunately at this time you're not eligible for a visa but you may apply at a later date. ( passes the dreaded blue paper)
People of God, I was stunned. Like am I dreaming? What just happened. All my mock interview preparations and sleepless nights wasted.
Let me give you all the background. My school resumed classes for fall on August 23. I told the school I couldn't secure a date o, that I want to defer to January 2022. The school say I should calm down, they will allow all international students to resume late until September 20. As a proof of that extension, the school issued me a new i20 with this new information written in all CAPS in the remark section of the i20: "WE WILL ALLOW THIS STUDENT RESUME LATE UP TO SEPTEMBER 20" . In addition, they also issued me a letter to present at the embassy and at point of entry into the United States. But as you can all see, I didn't say pim at the embassy today. I have not fully comprehended this experience.
Moral lesson: No matter how qualified you think you are or how packaged your documents are or how sharpened your tongue is, pray for good luck. I was very very unlucky today but I still thank God. So sorry about that. I want you to know that it's not over, until it's over! Don't be discouraged. Keep trying with faith and it will work out for your good. It is well! |
