Nigerian's are generally bad at designing laws, but then we have to make them.

Some wicked tenants that are quite versed in the law will take advantage of such laws, sue you instead of paying up or leaving your house jejely, you know how slow the Nigeria justice system is in cases like this, if you don't pull strings, before you know it, the tenant would end up spending extra 2-3 years more.

I’m honestly surprised by all the complaints. Is relocating to the United States compulsory? The truth is, what the U.S. tolerates, most countries would never allow it. Nigeria once expelled Ghanians en masse, and tribalism is still openly practiced today.

During the last Lagos gubernatorial election, people were denied participation simply because they weren’t Yoruba, even though they are Nigerians who live and pay taxes there.
Yet the same people expect unrestricted access to another country, feel entitled to insult that country’s values, and even run for office there while being outraged when they’re rejected.

If citizens from Niger or Cameroon migrated into Nigeria in the same numbers and manner people move into the U.S., these same critics would be the first to demand mass expulsions. The hypocrisy is obvious.

If we take back to 2006, exchange rate was lower, and school fees abroad would have been a bit less too...that formula would have worked even then.

I know schools in the US that even as at 2013/2014, their semester fees were less than $2,500 (Jackson State University and MVSU). If you comb through Ukraine, a popular stomping ground for parents sending their kids abroad then, you'd find less sef.

Even if they earn 20m annually, the best they should realistically afford is admission into the very lowest-tier universities in the West, and that’s being generous. Yet we both know that’s not what’s happening in reality.

Honestly, I agree with Disstroy. Any civil servant earning 10 - 20m a year and comfortably sending their children abroad for schooling is almost certainly corrupt. Even if we factor in side businesses, no CMD would be able to sustain that without dipping into corrupt practices.
