Omo, see ehn I've been trying the 3km race for the past few weeks but I have managed to beat the 20mins timing only once. The rest of the time I'm burned out after the first 2km, on Tuesday I had a mild sprain on my ankle sef.

I know that the army does not give a damn, but some of us are just regular guys that have not even done any strenuous activity in ages. Just saw someone on my Twitter TL do 11.35km in 1hr 24mins and I'm in awe, because if I try am it will only end in tears.

For the senior men, pls if you have any tips on how to properly prepare for the physical training it would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Brother, I need this money.

Me and my babe haven't eaten

Not like we don't really have anything to eat. Tuwo and dried okra soup since Monday deserve a change a little

But since tomorrow is Christmas we would like to eat chicken and rice.

Not like we won't eat chicken and rice, neighbors fit bring .....

But, what if my neighbors fucck up and forget to reason my end ?

Na double wahala... What this means is that tomorrow might go down in my diary as a meatless(meat Free) and riceless(rice free) Xmas..

Pls, edakun anything for Xmas would be gratefully appreciated
Send your babe back to her father's house. If you insist on keeping her like a married man then be ready to carry a married man's cross instead of coming here with a begging plate.
FoodRe: How Many Percent Of Your Income Do You Allocate For Feeding In A Month? by tenderlaw(m): 12:11pm On Dec 25, 2020
Pierocash:
There is no particular percentage that can be used,it depends on how much you earn.

Someone earning 100k can decide to use 25% of his earning. But someone earning 1m cannot use 25%,that is too much for feeding. What of someone earning 30k ,will 25% feed him a month?

It all depends on how much you earn. One person 5% for feeding can be too much for feeding, while another person's 50% can't even feed him for a week.
You are assuming that someone who earns 1M every month will be eating the same stone rice as someone who earns 100K. As income increases, so does taste. They may both end up spending the same percentage on feeding.

Full treatment for Hepatitis C may cost range of 200K in government hospitals. Hepatitis B will cost more. But they are curable.

Some of you need to go online and watch videos of how this test is done. There's nothing comfortable about a COVID-19 test.

Please, some guy here mentioned that hepatitis is perfectly curable. Please and please, can this person point me to a direction of where one can get absolute treatment and cure for this dreadful disease?
Go to any general hospital or teaching hospital and ask specifically for a gastroenterology. They will sort you out once and for all. Don't fall prey to scammers seeking to sell you cheap elixirs.

This thread is gradually dieing off, it seem nobody is interested here again as it use to before.
That's because peeps keep asking questions that should not even come up at all. Candidates will see something clearly on the website and still come here to ask same questions. There's no point replying such.

Depends on the doctor screening you. Some may overlook it, some won't. Just pray.

you are right bro. I still went for the test just last week and it came back positive. Maybe this job is just not for me afterall, I'll have to let it go regardless of how much passion I have for it. Thanks for your responses wish you all success cos I can feel the passion y'all have for the job from your conversations and no doubt the army needs brave men like you, I pray the Lord grants you your heart desires.
What you need is a viral load test, not the usual tests done in regular hospitals. This routine test you're doing, and which they also do at military screenings, will ALWAYS be positive for life. Even after your cure it will remain positive. Sad, but true.

I talked to a doctor recently and according to him it doesn't have a cure but can only be managed
Your "doctor" was wrong. Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C have verified cures. Just ask to be referred to the appropriate specialist.

Bro i doubt hepatitis has a cure, it can only be managed (i might be wrong tho). There are some things the military usually ignore but when it comes to eye problem, hepatitis, pile, high bp mehn it takes the grace of God o especially if you applied for SSC which we all know its full combatant. Never the less, the person can try his/her luck
It can be cured. The only problem is that the usual tests they do for such screening is antibody test. That test will remain positive for life, even after the cure. Army will not waste time or money to do the more specific viral load tests. What it means is that he will always be flagged for hepatitis even after he has been treated and cured.

Dont worry.. you won’t die.. just almost..
My general advice, when watering starts, try not to move so much except for when you are rolling from one side to the other.. the water can tear your back if you keep moving to control the impact of the water on your back
2.. the cadets would want to water you say like 7-12 times.. if you do hard guy and don’t cry or roll around, it can double to 20+.. if they believe you can take it, they will want to do till you get to your breaking point...
3.. when they file us out for watering parade, wear thick boxers.. maybe even 2 or 3..
4.. don’t approach a cadet that knows you or you’re familiar with for watering... you’ll regret it..
5..it’s only 9 months and Sarham is still there..prepare for this watering parade from 1st week and it’ll last for hours...after which proper jobbing will commence..
6.. start training your wrists by pushing weights(pushing it with your hands almost close together and not wide apart)... it’ll help you when you start hanging up.
7..if e sure for you, buy slippers now and start practicing with anti plant...
8... the best time to have started running your 3.20kms was early this year.. if you are waiting for list before you start you will be on your own..
9..try your best possible to not buy job for your course mates.. they can press your neck in the night lol.
10.. nothing like sleep in the academy! Enjoy it now..from screening you’ll understand
11.. Expectations create disappointments.. don’t expect anything when you get in.. just live life there everyday as it comes and pray! 9 months will feel like 9 years but it’s not entirely a time of suffering.. there’d Be time for laughs, fun that you create amidst yourselves, etc.
Add your own academy survival advice u see this post..
This post is imbued with much wisdom!!

Pls, I have never shared any past questions on Navy. What I have always said is, read your GMATS. In fact, go to navy thread and check; I have always advised people to stop hunting for past questions and rather do themselves a favour and buy GMATS.

What department would you suggest a Petroleum Engineering graduate to apply for. I can’t find Petroleum Engineering among the fields listed.
If your department is not listed then I honestly don't know. Not every course is needed, no matter the relevance in other areas or jobs. You can however try your luck in Engineering. The prospects are poor though.

Don't bother to register online or join this job if you think some specialties will not be posted to certain locations. I can confirm to you that there are doctors, engineers, naval police, etc in the heart of the crisis in the North East and other parts.

Do they teach you how to swim in training? If so, how long?
You will be taught. But you could save yourself some unnecessary heart ache by learning some basics at home, like getting rid of the fear of water.
