64RC Officers are on course at NNC, Onne. They resumed earlier this month and should be done on the 27th. DSSC25 is not resuming till they leave. Info as of now.
The new commandant as however been handed over to, he was the chairman of selection board for DSSC24. I tell you, that man has no joy, you will feel it.
Please, resumption has absolutely nothing to do with the regulars at Onne. If they leave before the resumption date, fine. But if not, cadets will still resume. But for the sake of the new cadets, I wish they leave before the resumption date, if not some may abandon their luggage and just carry on from camp.

I believe this job is lucrative and it pays considering those who said you would easily get tired of it,I believe it all depends on the department you are those who dont make contact to the sea or who at rear occasions do are those who actually see the job as frustrating, you can't compare me an hydrographer to a fellow naval officer who is a teacher in a naval school, I know of a guy who works at naval HQ abj in the Acc Dept he is doing very great.
So it all depends in the department you applied to.
You think job fulfilment is all about making money? So once you're making millions of naira then all is well?
Hehehehehehehehehehehe.
I wish you well my brother.

There are female R. Admirals (2 star generals) in the Nigerian Navy Officer cadre and they can’t go past that rank cause they’re DRC Officers. The first set of regular female officers are still SLt. Zero restrictions by the books.
RAdm is the highest rank for everybody, not just DSSC (DRC) people. The only person who passes that rank to Vice Admiral is the CNS.

Oga pjay weldone sir. Oga tenderlaw made mention of getting tired as a LT-COMMANDER. My question is that is it that there is discrimination against Dssc officers or the work is really that strenous or might it be due to missing of promotions.
Anticipating your response
Sometimes you just look out of the window and see what your former classmates are achieving outside. Then you suddenly realise your university certificate may have fetched you more out there. Then comes the resentment and grumbling. At that point, only those with genuine love for the job will remain. Those with godfathers that smuggled them in will turn about and go home. I can confidently tell you that even Lieutenants and sublieutenants are leaving the job.

Generally it's a good job, but your love will be tested. Only true love will last for long.

Your English is really poor.
am not a feminist = I'm not a feminist.
its annoying = It's annoying.
okay I do bad tin to response to his mail? =This one is pidgin, but please use respond instead of response in this case.
Face impression matters alot in where I come from= First impression matters A LOT where I'm from.

With English like this, I wonder why the guy was even chatting you up. What a waste of his valuable time.

Apenaganiu:
What does this mean sir
Means exactly what it shows. Sublieutenants now spend 5 years on that rank instead of 4. Same for Lieutenants. Lt CDR is 6 years.
The numbers under the different types of commissions represent the maximum age on that rank. That is the age that you will be retired if you are still found on that rank. For instance, any DSSC officer that clocks 39 as a SLt will be retired on his birthday.

I thank and glorify God for this gift.
I appreciate my seniors

It's a new beginning and I implore God's guidance in this chosen career.

To the ones aspiring to join us soon. I can only wish you God's luck.
Congrats bro. You've done well. May the service be favourable to you.

IMOGBEMI:
mr tenderlaw, please which one among them, i will appreciate if you explain more, for the benefit of others, and tell us too how can we call at all, or we will be un reachable till after POP?
Thanks
There's is nothing like payment of a lump sum pf salary after POP. What you get during training is just a small token, about one quarter of your SLt salary. Out of this one quarter, half may still be kept for you until POP day. So that money is really nothing at all.

As for phones, don't expect to make any contact within the first 4 months of training. If you don't trust your partner enough you'd better cut it off before you start training. Hehehehehehehe

Thanks @ Oga Tenderlaw! What edge then does your professional qualification gives you during the final selection especially as an Engineer (COREN Registered and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers) over your fellow candidates during the selection process? Thanks in anticipation for your response.
Normally, it should.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Navy Direct Short Service Course Aspirants(dssc) 2015 by tenderlaw(m): 10:14pm On Jan 09, 2018
Pls guys, don't get it twisted. Don't join this service as a professional hoping for a seniority over your course mates. That stuff has been abolished. Many officers are grumbling because of this. You need to know this before you join.
EducationRe: What's The Difference Between Med Lab Science And Med Lab Tech by tenderlaw(m): 7:26am On Jan 07, 2018
A medical lab scientist is ALWAYS higher in rank and pay then a medical lab technician. Be properly guided. But if you doubt me, go ahead and pick med lab tech. You will realise it in a few short years.
