Politics2015:general Mohammadu Buhari's Five-point Agenda by tenry(op): 10:15am On Jan 01, 2015
All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Gen. Muhammadu Buhari yesterday asked Nigerians not to lose hope because change is imminent in the country.

He said 2015 is a year of change for the nation, which the forthcoming elections would bring.

Gen. Buhari listed a five-point change agenda which he would implement – if elected president.

He pledged to change the nation’s debilitating dependence on crude oil to earn revenue.

Gen. Buhari, who explained the change he has envisioned for the nation in a New Year message, pledged to provide mass employment, adequate security, fight corruption, improve infrascptructure and good health care.

A statement by Director of Communications Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr. Dele Alake, said: “I have unshakeable faith that 2015 will be the year of change. Now some of you have asked me: what exactly does ‘change’ mean?

“I have taken time to explain this at different opportunities, but on this special day, let me remind you in five short statements.

Change means:

•A country that you can be proud of at anytime and anywhere: where corruption is tackled, where your leaders are disciplined and lead with vision and clarity; where the stories that emerge to the world from us are full of hope and progress.

•A Nigeria in which neither yourselves, nor your parents, families or friends will have to fear for your safety, or for theirs.

•A Nigeria where citizens get the basics that any country should provide: infrastructure that works, healthcare that is affordable, even free; respect for the environment and sustainable development, education that is competitive and outcome-oriented in a knowledge-economy.

•A country that provides jobs for its young people, reducing unemployment to the lowest of single digits and providing safety nets so that no one is left behind.

•A Nigeria where entrepreneurship thrives, enterprise flourishes and the government gets out of your way so that you can create value, build the economy and aggressively expand wealth.

The APC candidate expressed confidence that the five agenda are implementable.

He said: “Are these things truly possible? Of course. That is the essence and outcome of leadership, and that is what my party and I promise you as we get into 2015.My dear friends, this New Year, more than ever before, I am hopeful about Nigeria.

“Yes, you are disappointed and you are angry, as you are entitled to, but you must never give in to the temptation to feel so weighed down by those who have failed you that you lose your hope and your energy and your passion to see change. You must never give up on Nigeria.

“Together, we can build a nation that is secure, prosperous and gives everyone a fair chance.

“This is the promise that 2015 holds. That is the promise that change will bring. That is the promise that I bring to you.”

Gen. Buhari said although 2014 was challenging for the nation, Nigerians should not lose hope or despair.

He added: “The year 2014 was a challenging one for most citizens of our dear country.

“We remember our compatriots who were brutishly killed or maimed by evil terrorists in 2014. I remember with a still broken heart that 219 of our children from Chibok are yet missing, let down by a country that should protect them. I remember that, even as I speak, some of our towns and villages are yet under the occupation of Boko Haram.

“Yes, it is enough for you to despair. It is enough for you to wonder if your country cares about you and can protect you. But do not despair.

“Two thousand and fifthen has arrived at a time of great discomfort; but the beauty of the New Year is that we can look forward with renewed hope and the knowledge that things can and will change.”

Gen. Buhari repeatedly assured that Nigerians will begin to write a new story as from 2015.

He said: “In Nigeria’s case, we can truly look forward to the change that the elections can, and will, bring. Our country will be secure again. Our country will prosper again.

“I have faith that 2015 is the year we shall begin to write a new story – a story of our youth creating jobs and expanding the frontiers of innovation and creativity everywhere from Mavin Records to the Co-Creation Hub; a story of genuine investment in our children and students be they in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka or in the Delta State University, Abraka; a country that finally makes a permanent shift from our debilitating dependence on the free-falling price of crude oil.”

My best part of the broadcast, Asari Dokunnbo would be the scape goat there, because he would want to prove his stupidity after his "brother" must have been voted out come valentine day!

Happy new year folks!
My best part of the speech too. See how he spoke with annoyance on dealing with whosoever torments trouble after the election as if he had won already. He gave me another reason to vote him out.

Why do they need to rush their respective loading if the rumor making grounds is on the basis of reduction. Common sense tells me the action alone is aligned with a prospective increase which we all know can't be the case due to obvious reasons.

why do i need to buy high if i'm going to be forced to sell low huh huh huh

What should your pastor do, write to all those whose life he intends to share on, good/bad and get consent?

At least your pastor never identified you unlike Paul. So grow up, get a life and enjoy your fifteen minutes of fame here on NL
You are the only daft human being on planet earth . Your miserable life will not get you anywhere in 2015. I will rather advice that u get a life and stop beefing others. One of my friends recently told me how his pastor was making reference to his challenges in the course of preaching to the congregation. According to him, he had been passing through some difflcult time and only went to his pastor for prayer and counselling, he was not expecting his pastor to cite his case as an example while preaching. Although he said the man of God didn't mention his name, the description and details released while preaching made him uncomfortable. I have also listened to pastors telling the congregation what church members have told them during counselling hour. How appropriate is this? Does it not meant to be kept as a secret? Does a pastor has any right to share church members' secret without taking permission from them?

An Amaechi as VP will heat the presidency like Atiku did. Obviously he is not cut out to be number 2, he only has temperament to be number 1
PoliticsPDP Jolted With The Choice Of Osinbajo From South-west(Opinion) by tenry(op):
PDP had been keeping vigil for APC to get it wrong with their choice of VP. God saved APC. You could see that in the tone of the press release by Olisah Metu. He didn't even address the suitability of Prof Osinbajo cos they hav been praying that it ll be zoned to South-south(amaechi or Osho baba) or south west ticket would have been given to Fasola(muslim) that would have given them avenue to convince the people of the south west. Rather he was talking Tinubu being a funder and founder of APC.
The truth is south south governors cannot guarantee 10million votes from their region, only Lagos alone will deliver close to 6million.
The south west is the second highest voting region in the federation. One can concede SE and SS to GEJ and still win the presidency.

I still postulate. To write an exam and have a thread for it only to come dia and be asking wats de next stage and wen interview and offering prayers on the thread won't help anyone. Even if u pray in the pinnacle of the tabernacle. It won't put food on ur table or money in ur pocket. Rather hard work does.and hard work is achieved by reading. And learning wen u fail so u will do better next time.if everybody passed like everyone is claiming here then wud dey employ all 50000.many will fail while many passes.thats the essence of doing correction which no other forum can do for u rather than the thread of fellows. Google can sometimes but even sometime it fails to clarify and only others' choices convinces u.
It's very funny seeing many refusing to offer solutions and hiding behind superior knowledge and work and positing that they are big boys and girls while those of us commenting are small boys.to me u are notin but a dead brain ,redundant and defunct without prospects of intellectual growth cos u have chosen to get stagnated by virtue of hiding behind nonsense higher level tins. I only said dat the exams were relatively cheap and many will pass and many decided to crucify me wit missiles.now many others have repeated the same tin but like the vultures that only hover above a corpse but restrains from the living u avoid dem becos u finally noticed how wrong u were in thinking am an easy pik. I'll have u kno I only wrote the nnpc exam as a means to further test my ability not cos I want the job.many bankers and people in private firms left their job to write it since it is greener pastures. For me I already have a federal govt equivalent position which I achieved not by fed character but was selected based on a very selective process that involved one of the worst gmat exam history in Nigeria in which I proved my mettle and was selected by merit despite that it is a fed govt ministry prone to the usual syndromes of federal character, quota principles, spoil system and godfatherism. In essence wat I'm saying here is that hard work pays and u achieve it sometimes faster by mutual sharing of info and ideas concerning exams and questions not prayers.dont turn the thread to a sentimental ground for failure miracle changes.rathers identify ur weaknesses and correct them.sometimes we have beliefs about answers that are wrong. We write exam and fail but tink we passed and wen we are not called for interview we start screaming corruption, while the problem lies with ur approach and beliefs about questions. So help urself by positively impacting on urself by improving on ur courage to learn ur weaknesses .a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
Be wise
Hnmmm guy you are very proud. If you are a christian kindly read what the bible said about proudness. In all your achievement in life, acknowledge God and never ascribe the glory to your smartness or intelligence.

You borrowed money to build three houses in three states.....who gives a fvck about that? You went bankrupt after your military jamboree and lose all your foreign accounts to yarinya and reckless lifestyle......well, thats the life of a military man......loot money, blow money and most retired officers have no house of their own. They spend their money as it comes........so nobody gives a shit about your bankrupt foreign accounts, ok? But truth be told, you are more clueless than GEJ cos you dont plan, you dont invest and you know nothing about economics, so how will you steer the economic affairs of this country? You will only lead us to bankruptcy and empty foreign reserve. So get a life and step down. You are a real NAF: No Future Ambition.

PoliticsKnow The Truth About "I Will Make Nigeria Ungovernable" Attributed To Buhari. by tenry(op): 9:12am On Dec 13, 2014
I will Make Nigeria ungovernable was said by a PDP politician, Alhaji Lawal Kaita. He
actually said Nigeria would be ungovernable if Jonathan became president in 2011. Alhaji Lawal Kaita is still a PDP member and still wax strong in PDP. Presently he was appointed a member of reconciliation committee setup by PDP. Don't be
deceived, #BUHARI have never at any occasion made such statement.
FACTS TO NOTE:
1. Major General Muhammadu Buhari never said he will make Nigeria ungovernable in 2011 in any format.
2. It was a PDP politician, Alhaji Lawal Kaita who actually said Nigeria would be ungovernable if Jonathan became president in 2011.
3. It was Jonathan’s media spokesman,Reuben Abati who sat down and largely concocted the slanderous libel against Buhari’s name in April 2011.
4. General Muhammadu Buhari took Reuben Abati to court for damaging his name.
5. The Presidency begged Major General Buhari to settle the case with Reuben Abati and the Guardian Newspaper out of court.
6. General Buhari obliged and settled out of court. Reuben Abati with The Guardian Newspaper published an unreserved apology to Gen. Buhari in the Guardian of 11th July, 2013.
7. Late General Azazi referred to the PDP
“ungovernable” crises and anger that did actually lead to Boko Haram terror franchise hired by the PDP. Azazi said, Boko Haram is a creation of the PDP.
So the weed in GEJ's farm was planted by his gardener.
