RomanceRe: If Your Boyfriend Keeps Many Female Friends by TerrySoft(m): 4:40pm On Dec 18, 2007
This is exactly the problem my girlfriend is having with me. We are enjoying a very healthy relationship but she openly complains about my numerous girlfriends.

I try as much as i can to let her know that there are no strings attached and she seems to agree but sometimes just couldn't stand most of them around me.

She considers them a big threat especially my ex-girlfriends but i've been kind enough to understand her and right now, everyhing seems to be in place.

I think its all about TRUST!

Music/RadioRe: Talking About 'Asa' by TerrySoft(m): 5:01pm On Dec 17, 2007
bioye:
Where can you get the CD? I got the CD on the junction of Sanusi Fafunwa with Akin Adesola on V.I. I have a fair belief that it is an original. Her websites are: asamusic.net, myspace.com/asaofficial, naive.fr/sites/asa.

Every song is sooo good. My favourite is Awe followed closely by Iba. My least favourite for now is Subway. I listen to Awe and the theatrical characters play in my head each time getting clearer. Not only is the CD the best I purchased this year but the best I've purchased ever.

In a moment she morphs into Macy Gray then she's Desiree then she's Dido then she's Angelique. In a moment, she's singing Soul then it's Reggae then it's folk.
You seem to hve know so much about her, please don't take her away from me or else grin grin grin grin grin

Thanks for the information, i'm listening online already! grin grin

RomanceRe: Why Do Women Always Want To "Marry Up"? by TerrySoft(m): 12:00pm On Dec 14, 2007
I've just been laughing all through and i agree with almost all the ladies in the house.

I have personally dumped two girls who feel they have a better background than i do and now they are begging to come back but the door is close since i have picked someone from the low class and clean her up.

Currently she's a 200 level in the University and guys are all over her but she's so grateful to me for trusting in her ability and giving her a chance and we are happy together.

The only issue is that those who knew her before now are hissing around and saying all sort of things but i don't give a damn.

To her (my girl), she's hooked up with someone and God willing will be "marrying UP" in a matter of time.

EducationRe: NUC: Lecturers Must Obtain Doctorate Degree By 2009 by TerrySoft(m): 2:20pm On Dec 13, 2007
This thread is interesting and the NUC decision is a move in the right direction if only such moves could be implemented to curb examination malpractices and "sorting" (moneys often demanded by lectures in order to pass a student in a particular course).

In Nigeria, 50% of the problems we have is due to lack of accountability and this all started when our universities started producing degree holders who don't know how to right their names.

For instance, in my University days at the Rivers State University of Science & Technology, we had some student's who didn't show up for classes for weeks and months but they were having good grades. Can the university explain thathuh I even knew someone who traveled out of the country two years after gaining admission, but he graduated three years later (in absentia). Can there be any explanation to this from the Universityhuh Definitely not because these guys (top shots as they were called) have what it takes to buy the departmental reps, and then the lecturers and they lecturers (who claim to be underpaid) fell headlong for the "awoof".

Be that as it may, i could also remembers some lecturers who were impenetrable but there were still ways to use their children and in some cases their wives grin grin grin

All i'm saying is that making a "decree" that Lecturers Must Obtain Doctorate Degree By 2009 is something good, but that is not where the bond of contention should be if NUC wants to turn things around in our universities

RomanceRe: I Love Her But She's Already In A Relationship by TerrySoft(m): 6:59pm On Dec 12, 2007
Sometimes i wonder if most of us really understand the meaning of the word "LOVE". I've been in your situation and because what i felt was love for the girl, i encouraged her to stick to her guy. She got married recently and is ever grateful to me for the advice and has named me her best friend. Now that is what i call LOVE.

One good definition of love as contained in the Bible is that Love doesn't see it's own happiness alone. When i applied that i got a good result and now i've been able to fall in love with someone else who loves and adores me like no one else.

I will advice you to forget about the "bendable" name that her present relationship has been tagged because some girls are DANGEROUS!
RomanceRe: Can Adultery Help My Marriage? by TerrySoft(m): 6:51pm On Dec 12, 2007
The only interpretation i have about your situation is that maybe you just picked her from the street and impregnated her because if you really got married to her, then you are bound to keep the marital vows.

ADULTERY HAS NEVER HELPED ANY MARRIAGE AND YOUR SITUATION IS NOT AND CAN NEVER BE AN EXCEPTION
SportsRe: Super Eagles Squad At Ghana 2008: What To Expect? by TerrySoft(m): 6:41pm On Dec 12, 2007
I don't mean to be rude but i can't count how many times the Super Eagles have failed Nigerians in the past. Be that as it may, i don't expect anything good or bad but whatever comes out of the games, i'll take it in good fate.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Arrests Chief James Ibori, Former Delta State Governor by TerrySoft(m): 6:34pm On Dec 12, 2007
At lest he is arrested, even if nothing good will come out of it. He will become an ex-convict (this means nothing in Nigeia) but so many other eyes are watching and listening.

Let's just hope he is prosecuted (which is very unlikely).

FamilyRe: How Much Should A Man Earn To Sustain A Marriage? by TerrySoft(m): 6:29pm On Dec 12, 2007
I don't have a glimpse but i think money isn't all that sustains a marriage. If it were, then there should be no divorce and broken homes among the wealthy.

RomanceRe: Can You Wash Your Partner's Clothes? by TerrySoft(m): 6:17pm On Dec 12, 2007
To me, it's no big deal. If she does it for me (my girl does that of her own will), i can do same if the need arises.

For instance if she's ill or not willing. I sometimes cook for her and most often serve her breakfast in bed. grin
Christianity EtcRe: Redeemed Church Opens World's Biggest Auditorium, Costs N7.7b by TerrySoft(m): 1:15pm On Dec 12, 2007
What we must know in all these is that you can sin with your tongue (post) if you are not careful over the utterances you make.

JAMES 1:26 Says: If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's RELIGION is vain.

Now what i have to say about this supposed World's Biggest Auditorium is a simple question. Does it comply with what is written in JAMES 1:27 Pure RELIGION and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

I've listened to Adeboye and you and i know he is seasoned in the word of God and must have read the verse above a thousand times if not more.

Some actions might be right (like building the biggest auditorium in the world in the name of God) but what is the motive behind the project?

When solomon built the temple, he was a king and did that with his riches and the reason was seen on the day the temple was dedicated as the glory of God filled the temple to the extent the priests could not minister in the inner court.

Now if the motive behind this building is nothing more than to be known as this or that in the eyes of men or to be counted as having done something no one has done, then it's pathetic.

I would compare it to the wave of media publications that followed Christ Embassy's Atmosphere for miracles in which they prefer to shout on the media how they hosted the largest single event rather than talk about the effect of the event in people's lives. All i heard was "this is the first event with over 3million ppl in attendance, what a might God, and the likes rather than saying what significant changes the event made in ppls life.

That goes a long way to show the real motive behind most "outrageous" events, hence the World's Biggest Auditorium.

I hold my peace.
