I met this angel in my first year in RSUST and was madly in love with her and even when she claims she's in love with me, she never stops cheating. I could remember when i asked her if she was to marry now, who would she marry, she looked me in the eye and said, My Ex-Boyfriend. This wasn't just humiliating but inhuman. Three years later, she went back to this ex-boyfriend and i wished her well but my wishes didn't come true as the guy broke up with her after a year or two and now is married to some other girl. While she left, we were still in good talking terms and she sometimes visits me. At some point, i became interested in her again with with double feelings - once bitten, twice shy! |
One thing that surprises me is how an average Nigerian thinks. I'm sorry for those who advise you to go take some peanus and walk away. @poster YOu have made a good point and your second post explains more but you have failed to point out if your fight is to be generously compensated or just to paint the company black and bring it's dubious activities to light. Secondly, i suggest u find a different title to this thread than diverting most nlder's attention from the real problem on ground to the corrupt practices in EFCC. Be that as it may, i encourage you to go for it dude, with God on your side, victory is sure! |
I think there is no way any one person can say he is satisfied with the services offered by his/her bank. those who say so only say so because the bad day hasn't come yet. The worst experience i had was with Citizens Bank, now Spring Bank PLC. For approximately 6 hours out of the 8 hours they are open for business, their system was down and you get excuses like "our system is down", "we are restarting the system", "we've just called the head office", "it's not from us but from our head office", "please wait or come back 2morrow", etc. The list of excuses above were unending. Sometimes, you are asked to go to some other branch and so on and so forth. I'm really wondering when banking institutions would live up to expectation. |
As far as i'm concern, beggers=thiefs=arm robbers. This is because these set of people are too lazy and think they do not have what it takes to become something yet they know all the tricks and disguise they need to beg or steal. I said this because if you consider the stress involve in these unwholesome profession (as the boy said), you will agree that if 50% of the effort they put into these "work" is diverted to something +ve, their lives will turn around but they are just lazy to do that. I know of a woman who pretends to have breast cancer and will rap blood-stained-bandages around her breasts and expose same in order to attract empathy or whatever she think she wants to gain. Now if you consider the smell, flies, and other issues, you will agree with me that if this same woman diverts her ability to something tangible, her life would turn around. |
members of NUC board should have a rethink. Courses we offer for four(4) years - if not more - are offered for two(2) years in US and they are thinking of making it Five years ![]() Sometimes i wonder if Nigerians have the same brains with the rest of the people in the developed world? |
There's nothing i wouldn't here in nairaland, i'm laughing my stomach out--- fufu inside phone Well, let's watch out for more fun, ![]() |
I was born and brought up in Calabar and still have my parents there. I spent all my holidays (xmas, etc,) there and i can vividly say it's a fun filled place to be. Cost of living is moderate, environment is clean (the cities) and lots of relaxation spots. I can be your host if you visit b/w 20th Dec. and 4th Jan. 08. |
Akwa Ibom State |
My xmas is always fund at Calabar. This year will not be left out. The carnival, the shows, stars that will be featured and more fun, Any one going with me to Calabar ![]() |
We need more celeb dance and the should try to broadcast it live while it is happening and hot! |
Yahoo boys or no Yahoo boys, most girls, i mean 90% of Naija babes are into a relationship for what they can get out of it - money - and not what they can give. PERIOD! |
In this case and from experience, i suggest "out of sight" - no visits, no talking, no smiling, no tangling, etc - as the best and only solution. |
Hi nairalanders, I implore you to rate your level of satisfaction as a member of nairaland using the following scale: Very Satisfied Satisfied Neither Satisfied Or Dissatisfied Dissatisfied Very Dissatisfied This is no kidding, be as honest as possible. Oya, let's get the ball rolling, |

Seun, You asked: Is there any Nairaland member who is a general nuisance on the forum? A scammer? A spammer? A jobber? A fraud? An irritant? A troll? Intolerant? Extremely confrontational? Anyone that ought to be banned?I'm wondering why you choose to ask when to my own opinion, you are in the right position to answer these questions as the sole moderator of this forum. To me, i think you are causing more problems than what was on ground already because in a short while, there might be "fire on the mountain" many nairalanders may hit their heads together, by requesting that you ban perceived enemies in the house. Be that as it may, i think i made a point in the mail i sent you immediately you went on a BREAK because in as much as u are competent , doing a good job and you also know what to do to keep nairaland safe , you need a helping hand if not more hands (as moderators).I quite remember one of your post on this issue, which you mentioned that you do not trust anyone, i think you are far from reality. Getting an assistant or more moderators has absolutely nothing to do with trust since you still have the overall administrative power, to demote, suspend or even ban for life any moderator who doesn't keep to the rules of the game. Irrespective of the fact that i've just spent weeks at nairaland, i'm a moderator in two web development forums but definitely don't have the time to moderate Nairaland since i'm too busy with other forums and i'm not asking for it either but i'm gonna give you a hint as to what we do to keep the forum safe. Nominate a moderator for each sub-section in the forum. For instance, under Technology we have Programming, Webmasters, Computers, Phones, Games, Graphics, Technology Market and that will give you7 moderators, 1 for each section. The same goes for Entertainment which have Jokes Etc, TV/Movies, Music/Radio, Celebrities, Fashion, Sports, Literature, Forum Games which in turn will give you 8 moderators and so on for sub-sections in the General discussion category. Once that is done, the moderators will have less work overseeing the activities in their sub-section alone and reporting defaulters (or spammers as u call them) directly to you for appropriate action. Now this may end you up with so many moderators but if you have up to 32 moderators for a 156212 members forum (and growing every day), you will then be running a forum moderated roughly at the ratio of 1:4800 which is more than double the normal 1:2000 standard laid down for open forums which nairaland happens to be one. You will be surprise at the way things will turn out within a month. ![]() One last point, in your consideration for moderators, don't try digging into members history (though this advice is against the norm) but i personally agree that if you give a thief something to keep in a crowded house, you will certainly have that thing when you want it since the one you gave charge over it is the same and only one who would have stolen it if it were given to someone else. Now you know what i mean or at least, you can figure it out ![]() Good luck WITH nairaland and thanks as you have returned from the BREAK unannounced. I look forward to a better nairaland. |
@poster It's like u re behind some influence or spell. I wish u were 15 and she was 31? Well, i guess i would love to take your 11yr old sis for a ride, and when i'm done, I will ask you if it's Illegal or not. |
@poster If i was to cast a stone, it would go directly to the Nigerian Institutions. That's where the decay all started and that's where the decay is spreading from. Secondary school leavers seeking and gaining admission through fraudulent ways. YOu and i know too well that examination malpractice is a key to the failure of our Institutions and indeed the center of decay in our nation is from there. Consider government workers who take bribe, teachers who seek extra favour in order to credit students, lectures who needed to be sorted and the junk of Nigerian graduates who only hold papers but cannot prove what they claim with degrees. Engineers with mouth, and so on. In order to make Nigeria a better place, the starting point is restructuring the Educational Institutions. |
Worried Really worried ![]() As far as i'm concern i've got nothing to do with MARITAL status because i'm single (correct), dating (correct), happy (correct), etc. |
@Poster I have used so many but found not to be as good as Gom Player. It's light, it plays virtually anything and has so many functions. conserves memory and allows you to take snap shots from video with a button. In fact, it's the best i've come across - check out www.gomplayer.com and download a copy. ITS FREE |
Hi all, I need your opinion on this (from experience). As a guy, is it better or safer (in the long run) to marry a girl you love more than she loves you or a girl who loves you more than you love her? The same applies to ladies in the house, would you love to marry a guy that loves you more than you love him or would you prefer to marry the guy that you love more than he loves you?? I need real answers with reasons and examples because I'm preparing a presentation on this issue for a seminar. Treat maturely - no kidding. |
hmmmmmmmmm!!!! It's almost impossible to own a PayPal Account as a Nigerian in Nigeria and we are talking about being the greatest nation in the world. Let's keep dreaming and it may come true, i don't doubt the prophet anyway! |
@all I completely agree with "rockiedink" that this topic is not worth any contribution anymore because the Poster (JOy) said she has resolved the issue and had moved on with her life. She has even introduced the "magic" perfume to her girlfriend who is also dragging a lot of guys around her. I think the only issue in the mind of almost all nairlanders is how she resolved the issue and if she is unwilling to tell, then we should KISS the topic goodbye. |
@ Poster It's rather unfortunate that u have refused to tell us how you resolved the issue - did u tell ur husband, did u bar ur bro-in-law from visiting, have u changed the perfumed, etc. - perhaps someone in the house in your shoe will know how to handle it. Be that as it may, i will not join those who castigate you neither will i join those who showed empathy but will only pray that Christians should watch and pray, that they may not enter into temptation. I still would love to know how u resolved this issue - for the records. |
Wait a minute! Right age for marriage or the right time to marry In my own opinion, everyone should examine himself/herself and decide what he/she wants. Most people are driven into catastrophe and most homes are broken because some guys and babes tend to follow "laid down principles" by families and counselors and most are influenced by peer groups.I remember when i was 22/23 and was proudly telling close friends that I'll get married at 25/26 but today I'm 27 and still pushing it to 2010 when i will be 30. So you see that it's not about age, there's more to marriage than age and the first thing one has to know is that marriage is more than what we see, it has some spiritual undertone and one must tread cautiously. For the issue of age, i still believe a man should prepare to marry between 30 and 35 while for ladies, 18 - 25 is ideal. If you don't agree, you can marry at 50 as a guy and 40 as a babe, or better still stay single, no qualms. |
Hey, frankly, good good girls are scarce commodity. If u have a good one, hold onto her and don't ever think of dumping her. |
Well guys, All said and done, what you charge for designing a website depends on a lot of issues like the client, his/her demands, functionality of the site, and the designer. I could recall doing a job for one client for as low as 55k and doing the same level of job for another client for 110k. Meanwhile, i've been into web design for a while now and i started out with the crumbs until now. Ifyou want a good design, check out what i've done www.terrysoft.net/company/our_clients.htm and contact me sales@terrysoft.net |
Guys, Though the look of a website is important to some extent, the functionality of a site is paramount. I would have forgiven the developers of the WAEC site if the site was at least functioning well, but both the design and the functions are zero. It is time for real webmasters to rise and break the horn on what they know how to do best rather than allow "quacks" mess up the field for us. www.TerrySoft.net |

, doing a good job
and you also know what to do to keep nairaland safe
