Politics › Re: Oyo-2015: Ladoja And Akala Teamed-Up To Takeover by texaco1: 1:32pm On Jun 06, 2013
RedReact: No sir!
It wasn't that the monarch and Ibadan elders didn't meet with Ladoja as you said, they did but he (Ladoja) never obliged to them. He told them that as long as Ajimobi had right to contest, so also he too. After the house of Rep votes had been split, people became jittery that Akala might win the election. Practically at that time, Akala was ahead of all of them. What made things go against him was that Ibadan people turned away from Ladoja at the die minutes because he only focused on Oyo (maybe because of Adeleke) and Ibadan. As this issue was going Alaafin had to be beckoned with because Alaafin and Akala were at war then, and Alaafin was able to work on Oyo south monarchs and get their support to punish Akala at that time. Since Akala was from Ogbomosho, he could get the favour from Oyo north and had already counted Oyo central and Oyo south as "not winnable" for him. Ladoja's entrance to the scene and refusal to back out was a good one for Akala at that time. With Ibadan votes being split among ACN and AP in Oyo central, PDP had higher chance to get all votes for him in Oyo North, and votes splitting for him in Oyo south while others will scramble for the remaining in Oyo central. As God would have it, Oyo south slipped away from PDP, leaving only Oyo north for them. In the die minutes, Ibadan people rallied round support for Ajimobi to win; including Accord people.
I do I know this? My constituency, till tomorrow, is an Accord stronghold. I wasn't in Nigeria that time, but I was with political big-wigs who were placing calls home to get facts and consolidate on their mathematical calculations, right even on flight.
By the way, many people whom Akala had trusted to gain their supports duped him. I know them so well. They collected the money and voted against him. Many in my constituency also did it too.
thank God i am discussing with a very inteligent man that knows the happening very well.ok
i dont really feel like exposing much but i will due to the inteigent way and manner you have exhibited .
something happened on the election day at the coaliation centers ,i wont go into details but i will brief u.u can verify this from acn members, when the results were been brought him akala was leading,it was at this juncture an emergency meeting was called between ladoja and ibadan elders ,it was there he was prevailed upon to save ibadan, all the votes of oke ogun, ibarapa and all other were comin ,ladoja then asked them to leave 4 local goverments, ibadan south and some other 3.it was the combination of ap and acn votes in these local govts that tilted the balance.u can verify thiis.an agreement was reached before ladoja did what he did.

Daraplato: So that when they both get the post in 2015, Akala will dupe Ladoja again and become governor. I am tired of this freaking cycle. lol
oyo politics is different ,the masses dont like ajimobi take that, those that like him are those in the middle class and it is quite unfortunate that this class of people are in the minority,a percentage of them dont even vote they may come online and say all sorts of thing but they have no bite .the people that matter are the grassroot, that is where the power lies and this set of people are the ones against ajimobi, they love their old ways al previous govt always leave them to be but once they decide to move against u there is nothing that can stop them.
take ladoja out of the 2011 elections and u would have seen how acn would have lost.tinubu and acn should have brought and bought ladoja over to their side ,ladoja stil controls at least 20%of oyo voters.now that pdp has taken him lets see how acn will win.
Politics › Re: Oyo-2015: Ladoja And Akala Teamed-Up To Takeover by texaco1: 1:00pm On Jun 06, 2013
barcanista: If this news is true then Ajimobi is in trouble. Those who follow SW politics know that NO GOVERNOR HAVE WON RE-ELECTION since the History of Oyo State. Akala lost because Ibadan People said NO SECOND TERM that Ibadan man must succeed Him. Akala is from Ogbomoso with full support but he LOST because Ibadan was not on his side. Ladoja is an Ibadan man so collaborating with Akala will mean KNOCK-OUT for Ajimobi. May the better candidate win
akala lost that election because ladoja entered the race.akala was leading till the last minute when ibadan elders under the order of the king went to plead with ladoja ,some things happened which i cant say here that ladoja did to tilt it in favour of ajimobi.
akala had always said it that 10 tinubu cant displace him.the agreement reached between ajimobi and ladoja on the election day was what saved acn ,now that ajimobi has reneged on his agreement ladoja has no choice but to come back to pdp.no matter what ajimobi do or does he cant win in 2015.the best he can do now is to perform credibly and support another person withing acn .if acn should make the mistake of fielding him they will lose

collynzo2: The difference between Nigeria and Ghana is that Nigeria currently has the longest unbeaten run for any country in the world, while Ghana has not won any trophy for 32 years.
i am talking about current teams strength and weakness, this nigerian team still has a lot to improve on, but they are on their way to the top if and only if keshi is giving the free hand to do his job the way he wants to
Sports › Re: Kenya Vs Nigeria - W-C Qualifier - (0 - 1) On 5th June 2013 by texaco1: 6:50pm On Jun 05, 2013
the difference between ghana and nigeria is that Ghanians have good midfielders which is what is lacking in our super eagles but the Ghana team has always lacked quality strikers and they have always relied on their midfielders for goals that is where Nigeria strength is Nigeria has a pool of quality strikers which even poses a bigg problems for our coaches,if we can get our midfield right no team will be able to withstand our eagles

adepojuot: really!!!which business can I do with 700k in Ghana??
lot and lots and lots .u will need like 200k to settle urself down ,rent a place like a room , then mix with ppl, that is why i said u need to first go there look around , talk with people and see what u can do,i know nigeria business terrain is tough but the money is there in the nigerian market only if u are tough .if u invest the 700k wisely it may turn to 2mil by december all u need is focus ,determination luck and prayers .boys go to ghana with less that 200k-300k and they end up making it . dont dash that 700k to some forign airline to help the pay for hotel accommodation for their pilots , use the money to get more money
you have 4000 us dollars with u my brother that is a lot of money believe me

adepojuot: huiuuuuuu,Na true talk, thank you very much for the advice.where are u now,Nigeria or abroad??
i live in one of the west african countries and i see how our Nigerians brothers who have no skill are rotting away while at the same time i see everyday how nigerians with skill and mney are making it big time, some will nevere even talk about America .take a vacation to another west African country , explore make friends , discuss with people exchange ideas , make friends , outside naija it is a different ball game entirely , believe me by the time you go back u will feel refreshed .we are all after moey and success and i can beat my chest and tell u this if u want constant power , water and so on then outside naija is it BUT IF YOU WANT MONEY NAIJA IS WHERE THE MONEY DEY,you have 700k that is almost 5000 dollars believe me most boys in malaysia and south africa are looking for 100k to go back to naija ,i swear .read through ppl experiences on nairaland here .but if u can get legal papers that will make u a legal resident in those countries and which will give you the freedom to expand your horizon and exploit the opportunities in those place that is ok.
thousands of nigerians cant come back becos of shame ,they have nothing to show for their years of stay in usa or uk and all their mates in nigeria are already doing well

i made the same mistake but by the special grace of God i was able to retrace my steps ,you need a travel experience no doubt , if u have 300k , u can use 50k to just move round west africa or go to ghana , meet people , see Nigerians , this will give u the needed exposure and when u gt back u will begin to see Nigeria in a different perspective ,the honest truth about traveling is
THE MONEY PEOPLE WASTE IN TRAVELING OT WITH EASE IS THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY WILL BE LOOKING FOR WITH TEARS TO COME BACK .until u see you wont believe what i am saying

samtoye: I am baffled most times when i read write-ups like this and I laugh silently, the "grass is greener at the other side of the fence" mentality is more of a weakness than strength. Every country have their own challenges and there is no paradise anywhere, I wont blame you if you don't agree with me cos i would have also doubted "me" at a point in my life.

If you have a LEGAL opportunity to MIGRATE to these countries do so but if you have a successful life in Nigeria and you think you can better it by going to these foreign countries then you "may" be misinformed.

The first step of success in life is to first win the battles on your turf before attempting war in strange lands, there is so much to say but I'll keep it short according to "Law 4" - Say Less then necessary.
my brother no need arguing with people here , as u have seen people are ignoring the thread. grin grin

what ppl have got to realize is that the premiership has changed a lot since this guy left, although he too has changed and has improved but the competition now is the premiership is now stiffer and more competitive than when he was there.now we have 6 top clubs or strong as compared to 4 when he left.it will be difficult but lets just wait and see.
then the issue of players has to be address the problem of chelsea also is partly that of some players that believe they are untouchable .lets just wait and see
