words of wisdom from a person i dont like very much |
hmm |
jjcbuthot: Dele Momodu spoke like a fool that he is.did u really digest everything the man wrote carefully ? |
i knew my people will come . hehehehee
He is clueless as of what to do with money in bettering his state. He is the kind of Gov. that will be hoping on an increase from the Federal Purse to demand a higher share. Just like they conveniently remained silent during the Fuel subsidy palaver only to bare their fangs demanding more money from the pot. These are the kind of governors that will look envyingly at the allocation going to the oil producing states without looking in wards to develop whatever resources (both human and industrial) in their states. So instead you have a Gov. whose basic function is to: 1. act as paymaster in the moribound state civil service (a sector that is more of a blight to the state) 2. Award contracts on projects that have little or no significant developmental bearing to the state as a whole He is plain clueless.
|
barcanista: @texaco: where did you get the idea that hilda williams won the pdp primaries? KORO won squarely and KORO lost the governorship election due to reasons pointed in my above post. Can you dispute that? barcanista: @texaco: where did you get the idea that hilda williams won the pdp primaries? KORO won squarely and KORO lost the governorship election due to reasons pointed in my above post. Can you dispute that?https://dazzlepod.com/cable/07LAGOS22/ "--------------------------------------------- ------ Lagos: Obasanjo's Decision Overturns Initial Result --------------------------------------------- ------ 2. (U) In Nigeria's most populous state, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro won a December 13 runoff election against Hilda Williams, widow of PDP aspirant Funsho Williams, who was murdered on July 27. 3. (C) The media had earlier reported Williams victorious. Guardian Political Editor Idowu Ajanaku told Polspec that after the initial runoff PDP leaders had declared Williams the winner, carrying out PDP National Deputy Chairman Bode George's desire to have a candidate he can control. (Ref A) At the time, President Obasanjo supported the move, Ajanaku said. However, Obanikoro protested that there was a miscount in the primary and took the case to the National PDP for arbitration. According to Ajanaku, at this juncture, Obasanjo sided in favor of Obanikoro. Apparently, Obanikoro was able to get some influential allies on his side. One was PDP Board of Trustees Chairman Anenih; the other was President Obasanjo's daughter. 4. (C) Professor Adeolu Durotoye, Political Science Lecturer at the University of Ibadan, told Poloff that PDP members saw Obanikoro as more favorable to the Lagos polity than Williams, who prior to the primary had never run for political office and did not even reside in Lagos before her husband's murder. 5. (C) Grassroots PDP politician and post contact Gbenga Awosanya was present to witness the primary vote. Awosanya told Polspec that although the election was subject to manipulation, there was no violence. Awosanya had been concerned that the National PDP was attempting to foist Williams on an unwilling PDP electorate, and voiced his fear to Polspec before the primary. Awosanya said that he and others in the Lagos PDP are starved for a winner, and Awosanya would likely leave the PDP if Obanikoro did not win " 2)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musiliu_Obanikoro "Later career In April 2007 Musiliu Obanikoro ran for governor of Lagos State on the PDP ticket, but lost the election to Babatunde Fashola of the Action Congress.[3] The election was marred by violence. In one incident, Musiliu Obanikoro was said to have narrowly escaped death in an armed attack on his car in Ikeja.[7] His nomination as PDP candidate was controversial. Hilda Williams, widow of the murdered Engineer Funsho Williams, had been declared winner of the Lagos PDP primaries, but the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) led by Ahmadu Ali gave the ticket to Obanikoro. The disunited PDP under Bode George also lost the Lagos State Senate and all but one House of Representatives and 37 State House of Assembly seats to the AC.[8] In a newspaper interview in July 2007, Obanikoro called on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in Lagos State, claiming that infrastructures and values had completely collapsed.[9] President Umaru Yar'Adua appointed Musiliu Obanikoro as Nigerian High commissioner to Ghana in May 2008.[10] Divisions between factions in the Lagos State PDP which had surfaced before the 2007 elections continued until a series of meeting in October 2009, where the differences were resolved.[11]" the party nomination. |
despite the fact that i dont like this man much i must admit he made some reasonable sense in this write up and some of his assumptions and assertions are correct. |
we are here already, just taking our time dayokanu: Some people would soon come here and find something wrong with not borrowing |
@op,i understand ur views ,but despite the fact that koro is a strong force withing the state pdp and a force to reckon with in lagos state politics ,i dont think he can win the lagos state governorship, op,you have to remember that even in 2007 funsho widow defeated him and he only got the party ticket because obj insisted that he shoud be given.notwithstanding anyone party or politician that underrates koro influence in lagos state politics does so at his or her own peril.koro may not be able to win the governorship but he has the capacity to influence the final outcome of the race both withing the party and withing the state |
debayun: So?i wonder oooo |
kITA TITA: I like him too. He's not pretentious. He is blunt and sincere. Besides, OBJ means well for Nigeriahe is a true NATIONAL LEADER |
dgitrader: buhari is a smart general, he knows the political field very well, he knows his chances are slim and he isn't contesting anymore. But he will certaining be in the corridors of power, going by the present politics of ethnicity. Focusing on buhari's candidacy is completely illogical in the future scheme of thingsthis is one fact ppl are not looking at.BUHARI WILL NOT CONTEST.even apc wont give him the ticket but he wants to be in a political party that has political future.even in the south west buhari will lose woefully, apc wont take chances .so the issue of yorubas rejecting buhari is foregone issue. |
although i have never been to warri but the stories i have been hearing about the place always makes me dread even passing through. stories of waffy boys stabbing ppl, rape and robbing ,i dont know if it is true but many outsiders believe that warri is a dangerous place to visit and to be in |
ogundipe lara: I hrd sme tymes ard june 27 android wud be able to download bbm application so y dont u wait for sme few wks to get an andriod.i think it is only the pinging and some other applications that will be allowed on android ,blackberry will sti retain their browing platform ,i think. @op,there is nothing specia about bb apart from the pinging,i once used bold 2 and bold 3 i sold them after 2 weeks ,bb batteries are bad BUT in a country like nigeria bb remains the number one choice for CHEAP mobile internet connection.that is the truth.if u buy an android expect to spend up to 3k on the megabyte that bb will give u for just 1k but in terms of functions and other things i personaly feel that anroids are better. even in most west african countries bb arent popular because data is cheap,i dont know why our networks are just exploiting nigerians |
i think u have a point |
biafranqueen: Upper Middle class professionals are 13% of US population check out this link http://www.afdb.org/fileadmin/uploads/afdb/Documents/Publications/The%20Middle%20of%20the%20Pyramid_The%20Middle%20of%20the%20Pyramid.pdfnigerians are pouring into ghana everyday, chinesse ,europeans and americans are pouring into accra everyday to invest and set up small small companies yet a ghanian believes that there is nothing there!what that guy doesnt understand is that the kind of profit these white or foreigners make in ghana they cant make the same profit in their country, and also the amount of 10000 ghana cedis that ppl save to get an american visa is the same amount of money these foreigners bring into ghana to estabish themselves .like i have said earlier you willl never know until u have left ur place ,it is then ur eyes wil open to see the wonderful opportunities u have left behind. |
surveycash:when i complained about ppl asking too many questions wthout wanting to do research many ppl here said i was talking too harshly that i shoud allow ppl to ask. now u guys can see how irritating it can be. |

DJDOLA: Well somthing like dis do happen here in nigeria so no need 2 tell them 2 come back home...that place is even safer than nigeria I think...at least does criminal are in police custodywhat sort of comment is this?smh |
biafranqueen: I am not complaining I am telling you the facts of life in America. There are so many opportunities in Nigeria and Ghana. My family that has business in both countries are doing way better then any MIDDLE CLASS living in US. I do not aspire to be a middle class as you do I plan to leave a legacy and create an industry and my husband and I are doing just that with Agriculture in Nigeria. The opportunities are far greater in Africa where the industrial revolution has just begun. Have you ever lived in America.pls help me tell them oooo.they think we are trying to discourage them |
trappatoni: one day we shall all die and give account to our creator, actions shall be judged according to intention on that day, these little things will land a lot of people in trouble on that day.what is hard in saying the truthand what is the truth ? |
django1: One thing that can fall ajimobi is the indiscriminate displacement of traders. People are really not happy about it.thank god that now u are seeing reason with me,he is trying no doubt although i wont vote for him but in his stride to make an impact he is stepping on the masses toes.that is where the danger lies.in the case of lagos state fashola stepped on toes but majority didnt mind and tinubu was at the background doing the supporting job for him.acn doesnt have that kind of person in oyo state ,the masses are feeling detached and oppressed |

Idazinim: It is a settled case. We are all aware He won. I salute his Humility in his NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED Statement in his Press Briefing after the Election. If only the Detractors understand what this STATEMENT means................ok so what were u expecting him to say? that he is happy he won?he is a politician what he said in that statement is what any politician in this world will say.there is nothing new about that |
![]() everyday: Why cant the police arrest all these politicians who are looting our money. ![]() even if they arrest them, they always use the plea bargain to escape any serious sentence en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plea_bargain m.allafrica.com/stories/201111120123.html/ nigeriagalleria.com/news/fullnews.php?fn_id=2661 |

akinalabi: Even though you are too biased and PDPish for my liking, I must confess you know what is on ground as per Oyo state politics.thanks .i always state it clearly that ajimobi is trying no doubt but i know that pdp will go all out to capture that state with all legal and illegal means and ajimobi is somehow making it easy for them to beat him.he ajimobi has to start appealing to ppl now so has to gain the confidence back |
anonimi:you should have noticed that i ignored him once he made that comment because definitely i knew maybe he was in primary school then when ibikunle was in pdp. whenever ppl make duummb comments like that pls bro just ignore them.they think 2015 elections will be conducted on nairaland |
ckkris: JONA wins 2015like i have always said THERE IS AND THERE WILL BE NO VACANCY IN ASO ROCK |
gohome: Jonathan is smart after all. With all this, he might just clinch the PDP ticket. As I have always said, the PDP ticket is Jonathan's main problem, if he wins the primaries, he will return as president.thanks for educating them here,i dont know how some ppl believe that a party with over 23 state governors will lose the presidency.whoever emreges as pdp candidate will be nigeria president . |
