Insecure Heart

Sometimes confusion comes a calling,
And I can't help myself asking.
It's come to me before, this need to know.
Like the wind, this feeling continues to blow.
Can't I just, in my bed, stay till tomorrow sprawling?

No! I need to move, even if I am only crawling.
Whatever tomorrow brings, you won’t find me falling.
Here on the quay, adorned uniformly and feeling hollow.
Into this ship, can I continue to follow?
I look up ahead, can I honestly say it is appealing?

Will I choose to stay here while my heart is aching?
I've chanced this way before, even then I felt it was breaking.
Along the way often I pray, even though...
Shall I, in this line stay, even with all I know?
Shall I remain, still clinging?

It seems I'm not good at all this bi-standing.
Lately I find myself ill content and demanding.
For I want the light to continue to show,
But right now it refuses to glow.
While my spirit watches; crying.

Why do I feel so dubious,
And why have I become so anxious?
