This is the transliteration and translation of a chain of Tashahud:

Ibn Mas’ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) recited the tashahhud as follows: At-tahiyyaatu Lillaahi wa’s-salawaatu wa’t-tayyibaat, as-salaamu ‘alayka ayyuha’n-Nabiyyu wa rahmat-Allaahi wa barakaatuhu. As-salaamu ‘alayna wa ‘alaa ‘ibaad-Illaah is-saaliheen. Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasooluhu (All compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allaah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allaah and His blessings. Peace be upon us, and on the righteous slaves of Allaah. How is "peace be upon you O Prophet and the mercy of Allah and His blessings" a prayer to Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasalam?

The Tashahhud (Translated) can be divided into four parts
1. Prayer to Allah
"Greetings to Allah, and prayers, and pure things (are for Allah). "
2. Prayer to Mohammed
Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings (are on you).
3. Declaration of Hope to the Muslim Ummah
Peace be upon us, and upon the righteous servants of Allah.
4. The Shahada: Statement of Faith
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger."

My emphasis is on Part 2 of the Tashahhud
Just as in Part One, the recipient of the Prayer is Allah, in Part Two, the recipient of the Prayer is Mohammed. (O Mohammed! )
This assumes that Mohammed is ALIVE and can hear the Prayers of the Muslims. Peace be upon you, O Prophet!

The people asked: Messenger of Allah, how can it be that our blessings will be submitted to you while your body is decayed? He replied: Allah, the Exalted, has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of Prophets.

Just as the Prayers of Muslims would be submitted to Allah, the Prayers of Muslims will also be submitted to Mohammed!


The Qur'an-Only Muslims correctly identify this Tashahhud as Making Mohammed a partner with Allah and thus a Shirk.
In one of their Publications, they report on innovations kafirs have brought into Islamic Prayers.


I hope I've been able to convince you that you Muslims pray to Mohammed (without thinking) five time daily as You recite your Tashahhud.
