The NIN number assigned to me is different from the number on the recent National ID card issued to me by NIMC, so I guess the NIN is different from that given by NIMC

NIN is not written on the permanent national ID card, but it's on the temporary one

but it is their own NIMC ussd, *346# that brought up the NIN when I quried it with my phone number. I tried first with my MTN number and the query returned negative. I don't thing there is any need to visit their offline office since I have already used the NIN to submit the GSM SIM linking as directed by the authorities except if at the end of the day my submission are rejected.

get ur BVN printout from your bank for confirmation

that number is your NIN, save it. U can take the number to NIMC for confirmation

If you have done BVN, go to the bank you registered and ask for the printout of your BVN details. U will see your NIN there

What the south west did with the banks, the parastatals and government ministries afterwards was unimaginable! A culture of looting and nepotism started and this eroded the ability of these institutions to function effectively! The North simply joined the looting frenzy after the federal capital was moved from Lagos to Abuja. These are statements of facts and not tribal hatred. Sometimes, we have to say it they way it's , so the young ones will learn and avoid such mistakes in the future..
