Politics › Re: NDONI PEOPLE IN RIVERS STATE ARE IGBOS. LISTEN FROM THE HORSES MOUTH. by Theagnosticdude: 10:57pm On Oct 09, 2021 |
thatigboman1: my wife is an ogbaru woman. Her people call us from hinterland 'ndi igbo'. I wonder why. It is normal. I'm from Anam in Anambra West LGA of Anambra State. Because we are riverine area dwellers, we refer to the Igbos from the hinterlands as Ndigbo. This does not in anyway suggest that we don't see ourselves as Igbos. We are very proud of our Igboness. I think this is habit that is common to all the riverine Igbos because, Similar habit is also common among the indigenes of Onitsha. |

Crime › Re: Unknown Gunmen Behead Man In Anambra With Warning Note 'No Election' (Graphic) by Theagnosticdude: 7:05am On Sep 30, 2021 |
The kind of comments I see here all the time makes me question the intelligence of an average Nigerian man. Some assailants killed an Hausa man and dropped the note "the return of unknown gunmen and No election in Biafran land". Common sense would have told you that the real killers used the note to absolve themselves of the crime while at the same time trying to implicate the IPOB. They took advantage of the security situation in South East to commit a heinous crime and dropped hints that would easily point to IPOB as the culprit. Oh what an unlucky Hausa man! |
Politics › Re: Azikwe Against Northern Secession 1953 by Theagnosticdude: 6:08am On Sep 12, 2021 |
From this speech, Zik took time to detail them on the possible consequences of their intended secession. One Nigeria was meant to favour them anyway but their timidity and inability to compete with the west and the east when there was a level playing field for all made them to want to to pull out. It was also learnt from the speech that at that time, the North did not have a monopoly in food production. Each region was at least self-sufficient in food.I wonder how it later became so bad that the south left food production at the mercy of the Northerners |

Nairalanders, how easy/difficult is it to get a fully-funded scholarship to study for Msc/PhD in Europe, US or Canada. I'm a final year student of Economics in one of the Nigerian universities and would like to further my studies abroad through scholarship. I'm bothered because I'm aware that when it comes to scholarships, students from pure sciences usually have an edge over the ones from non-pure sciences. I really will appreciate your contributions. |

Politics › Re: Why Can't Igbos And Yorubas Unite? by Theagnosticdude: 9:13am On Jun 13, 2021 |
Because of trust issues.Igbo are having difficulties trusting the Yoruba given the role they played in the civil war against Igbo. Also, one cannot tell whether the Yoruba people are actually serious about their secessionist agitation. With time, we will know the extent of their seriousness and whether to work with them or not |

Politics › Re: Niger Delta Tribes: Open Letter To Mazi Nnamdi Kanu[photos ] by Theagnosticdude: 3:36pm On Jun 06, 2021 |
You made your point clear but I don't agree with 100%. It is a well-known fact that Igbo land does not end in south east. Against this background, what I think we should do is to redraw the Biafran map and exclude all the minorities who are not Igbo then include the Igbos who AGREED that they are IGBO like the Oshimili LGAs of Delta state and the Obigbo and the likes in Rivers EXCLUDING Ikwerre. Their inclusion must be subject to a plebiscite/referendum where they will decide whether to join or not. I'm in full support of 100% Igbo Biafran nation but it would be an injustice to abandon these aforementioned Igbo communities in Delta and Rivers at the mercy of Nigeria. It makes no sense |

FreeSpirited: Mid 20s...that shd be around 25 I guess. Go and learn how to toast babes...start toasting gals...randomly. You don't have confidence. You are locked to a gal in an environment where thousands of gals are available. Lol. You are blinded with the delusion of scarcity of girls in the midst of plenty... U have a lot to learn, unlearn and leave ur comfort zone.. otherwise, u will hate ursef cos gals will fuccking deal with ur self image and manhood. Nothing else to tell u. I know I have a lot to learn in the areas you mentioned... toasting, dating, confidence building etc. But I'm not a complete dumbass when it comes to this areas either. I know how to go out for the girls that I like. After my first relationship, I've been trying as much as I can to refrain from further relationships just to avoid heartbreaks. But I don't know how I couldn't hold back my feelings for this particular girl. Well, all that I want right about now is not going out to find another date but to get her off mind completely. Thanks though |

bepositive11: First of all, ignore the comments telling you to sleep with girls left and right. Don't do that. You would lose sensitivity. Sex would lose its meaning to you. Men who do that can't even bond through sex anymore. I feel sorry for them.
What you should do now is channel all the love you had for her to yourself. It will take time, so take it one step at a time and be patient with yourself. Take care of yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally. Look for new opportunities of growth. Learn a new skill. These are just a few examples. Make your own list.
And don't try to force yourself to stop thinking about her. That'll only make you think about her more. When she comes up in your mind, let it pass and turn focus your mind on something else.
And for now, force yourself to study. Don't fail your exams because of her. It's really not worth the price you'll have to pay in the long run.
Another thing to remember is that if you truly loved her, you're never going to stop loving her, so just accept it and continue on with your life.
I will tell you my story. The exact same thing happened to me two years ago. One of the most painful experiences I've ever had in my life. Today, I'm doing really well. I have a great career going on for me. I'm just waiting for the pandemic to be over so that I can start traveling the world. They have also started showing interest in me, but I'm not interested anymore. They will always have a special place in my heart though.
Be positive. Turn this painful experience into a learning experience, into a growth experience. Make it change you for the better and learn from your mistakes. Thank you for your thought response |
