abdulahiMusa:The truth is always very bitter and sentimental... Take a walk around your state and for once count how many IVM stores and showrooms you will see. How many of their ADs have you seen either in print, online and TV... Let's stop being sentimental, this is business and nothing else. If you have a good proposal, they will buy from you. The last time, FRSC bought about 50 vehicles from them, same goes for the army and other parastals... All I am saying s simple, this is an open market, do your home work well and stop playing the made in Nigeria game. Other cars are not here to play or count bridge na, all na marketing strategy |
ITbomb:How many states use IVM? Is IVM serious about marketing? When was the last time you see their ads? How many of their showrooms are across the 36 states in Nigeria? Do they have service centers etc etc? While we try to encourage ourselves, let's not be economical with the truth. You that you are saying IVM, do you have one? Charity they said, starts from home |

Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has re-stated his administration's commitment towards ensuring that Lagos is crime-free. He made this known at the commissioning of 125 patrol vehicles and 35 patrol motorcycles for the use of security operatives in the state. Speaking at the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that the model thought-out 13 years ago, with the support of the Lagos State House of Assembly to create the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has paid off so-good that the Federal government wants to replicate. According to him, the idea of creating a security trust fund has worked well for the State, noting that donation of the vehicles and motorcycles can only help rejuvenate his administration's plan at ensuring maximum security for the people of Lagos. The Governor said: "This young administration is just 99 days old; security and good governance happens to be the sixth pillar of our 'THEMES' policy agenda and we have attempted modestly to ensure that we engage each and every of those pillars "What we are doing today is a demonstration of our commitment to good governance by ensuring that the dividends of democracy are not just felt but are also things that people can feel, see and we can act on" Promising that security of lives and property is core to his government, the Governor stated his administration's resolve to support all outfits responsible for safety. The Governor, while reacting to the recent reprisal attack against xenophobia in Lagos, warned residents to shun criminality and lawlessness, saying “that no one should be found on the other side of the law”. Governor Sanwo-Olu stated that the Federal Government was already handling the xenophobic matter diplomatically. He urged Lagosians to remain peaceful and orderly at all times. "Security of lives and property is not only critical to us it is something that we will not turn deaf ears to. What do you think? See more of the works, the bridge and more below... https://www.autoreportng.com/2019/09/an-overview-of-loko-oweto-bridge-bridge.html |
Many may not have heard of the Loko-Oweto Bridge. The Loko-Oweto Bridge is a bridge that will connect the Benue and Nasarawa States. It is an 18km bridge that has been going on close to 3yrs but we are yet to see the conclusion. Now, the team handling this project are ending the logical end, but the PM has its ups and downs moment. According to Alon Peysin, the project manager at RCC Nigeria, he wrote In September 2016 I was in position of Bridge/Project Engineer in Loko-Oweto Bridge project team. The project is 2 parallel bridge constructed by the balanced cantilever method. The length of the Bridges is 1835 m included 24 axes. To overcome large thermal expansion of the bridge 4 expansion joints were designed. Two expansion joints are in the middle of the spans. The expansion joint between axes is designed to transfer bending moment and shear forces between 2 parts of bridges and allow free axial expansion. As Bridge Engineer, I received the task to plan and execute the installation of the middle span girders of expansion joint. After a case study, I could only find that the same solution was implemented in the world in Otay River Bridge in the US. We planned all the details. We checked the position of the crane on top of the barge. We created the light model of the beam to test the installation, it helped us to learn a lot of new details we didn't think before. The installation of 2 beams took a couple of days and it was very successful. I am so proud that I was part of a team of such great project. The Loko-Oweto Bridge is an 18km bridge project which is in two phases will connect Benue with Nasarawa State. The Director pointed out that the 103 km Otukpo-Apa-Oweto road was ready for inauguration and the whole bridge will be ready and handed over to the Federal Government for inauguration in May. The bridge upon completion, will provide a vital link between the North, South, East and West part of the country as well as enhance the socio-political and economic activities in the country. This bridge will open up the North-Central and it will in turn spring up development, because it will spur transportation and businesses in the two states. In the recent past, older generations trekked a whole day to reach Nasarawa State or waited for hours by the river bank for local canoes to ferry them across the river. Say no to xenophobia See more of the outlets around Lagos https://www.autoreportng.com/2019/09/xenophobia-tight-security-at-shoprite.html |
The Xenophobic attack on-going in South Africa is not a thing of joy for someone to smile, joke or make jest of, as a citizen of this great country, we condemned this act as inhuman and as a crime against humanity especially towards Africans. Nigerians decided to do a reprisal of the Xenophobic act being meted by South Africans against Nigerians by storming the popular Shoprite Mall at Lekki. In what started as a protest led to looting of shops, malls, and goods worth millions of naira. A shop, for example, was ransacked and all the goods in that shop were looted. In order to curtail further breakdown of law and orders and to protect other stores from being broken into, the Lagos Police officers led by RRS Commander, DCP Tunji Disu take control of security at Shoprite, Lekki. It was reported in the media that a protester lost his life during the protest yesterday. In a bid to keep Lagos clean, the LAWMA Enforcement team has started the seizure of carts across the state. The menace of cart-pushers is undermining LAWMA's efforts to establish a cleaner and livable environment. It has been observed that these cart-pushers collect wastes from residents and dump them in canals and other unauthorized locations. Thus worsening the problem of flood and other environmental hazards. We won't allow that to continue. Say "No" to indiscriminate waste disposal, patronize only your assigned PSPs. The Lagos State Government today began the testing of the Lagos Ferry, Mr. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun MD/CEO Lagos State Ferry Services Company along with members of his team did a test run of the Lagos State boats. It will be recalled that the former gov of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode did the commissioning early May when he was rounding off his administration, he also did the commissioning of Ilaje Jetty but the boats have not been put into used since then. The introduction of these boats will go along way by making the roads free of cars and also providing world-class treatment for Lagos residents. These are images of the 60-seat capacity of the boats as obtained by AutoReportNG. xjiggy:I am not saying I am wrong and neither do I claim to be all-knowing, we do mistakes, we can't cover everything, we are not omnipresent that's everywhere but here is what I am saying, there is nowhere that suggests or claim that the drivers were drunk... Let me rephrase the first paragraph for emphasis and so that you can read from my angle... The question on the lips of people is, are they both drunk? Do they have grudges against each other or maybe it's just accidental? That is, people were asking after seeing these images if these guys were drunk knowing they were so close... The post never said they were drunk, we do not report that the BRT drivers were under the influence of alcohol but this is mere reactions from passers-by. I saw the clip being sent and I asked same question too... I hope we are both on a clear terms now? Thanks for your kind words. |

The Lagos State Government is set to unlock 60 identified major highway junctions and corridors critically affecting the free flow of traffic within the Lagos metropolis. The State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, who made the disclosure during his project assessment visit to Oyingbo Bus Terminal corridor, stated that the traffic challenges which vary from junctions to corridors were even more compounded by the unregulated roadside trading, indiscipline of motorists and illegal parking. Revealing the locations of the 60 traffic gridlock areas identified across the State, the Commissioner said various strategies will be adopted to clear the logjam, hence the validation exercise preceding the junctions improvement works, planning, and resolutions. He explained further that the gridlock areas will be unlocked in batches of five, starting with Iyana-Ipaja, Yaba/Oyingbo, Ketu, Ikorodu Roundabout and Ajah Junction, adding that the exercise has commenced in earnest with the on-the-spot assessment of these areas. Oladeinde also hinted that the facilities needed for the water, rail, and road multimodal transport plan of the State Government are already on the ground at Oyingbo for the implementation of the present administration’s seamless transportation policy along the corridor. While decrying trading activities on major roads, Oladeinde reiterated the State Government's commitment to bringing sanity to the market environment across the State and solicited for the cooperation of the market leaders and traders in the area, urging them to desist from roadside trading in order to avoid sanctions. The question on the lips of people is, are they both drunk? Do they have grudges against each other or maybe it's just accidental? Its another day with another accident in the city of Ikorodu. Remember last week, we reported an accident involving a Dangote truck and a BRT bus that collide against each other. This week, another accident occurred at Ikorodu inloving two BRT buses. According to reports, an accident involving two high capacity buses on the BRT corridor at Asolo, Ikorodu. Traffic building up both ways due to onlookers. The LASEMA Response Unit from Cappa Base today recovered a Containerize truck that fell while trying to overtake another articulated truck while on top speed. An investigation conducted revealed that the 40 ft container separated from the body and hook with the other articulated truck. This prevented free vehicular movement on the express road. No loss of life no injury sustained. The container has been recovered away from the road with the use of the Agency's heavy-duty equipment (Crane) for free vehicular movement and to prevent any secondary incident.
