Princeofilorin: If a doctor of vet medicine cud be applying for a bank job,it just shows the how desperate our graduates are cry
Anywayz all the best wink
Actually that's not entirely correct. It shows how promising the Nigerian labor mkt has become such dat irrespective of an individual's cert title, he can still express himself/attain relevance. That's called egalitarianism and IT IS A GOOD THING!

Really silly but still funny lol.

tobbie888: Hi house,
I'm facing d same challenge Beam is. I'll be writing an acca paper on d day i've been scheduled for interview (7th June). If u're interested in swapping dates with me pls send me an email(oluwatobiadeyoyin@yahoo.com).Help a brother out.
From my interaction with the HR personnel, I don't think they encourage the practice cos there are doubts as to the credibility of such practice and I apologize for creating that impression but I was told in not so many words that it won't be candidates who'll come forward to say I wanna swap with who rather, IF there are vacancies in interview slots, then they'll be filled on a priority basis or as they (PWC HR) see fit.

My advice; inform the HR of your position and ask for advice, you are safest that way.

Cheers.

House,
Pls I have a slight challenge! My interview date
clashes with my ICAN exam date. I asked for a re-
schedule and I was told unless I know someone else
who wants to re-schedule from their dates too so
that we swap dates it might be difficult and long to
get a re-schedule. So here goes:
If YOUR DATE IS NOT CONVENIENT FOR YOU
AND YOU WON'T MIND RE-SCHEDULING FOR
21st MAY KINDLY PM ME OR MAIL ME ON:
babatundeoluwadara@yahoo.com
(Any date apart from May 21 or 22 pls)

Hey house,

Glad 4 everyone still going strong...if u've been dropped at any of the stages, don't over-analyse it....2 be shortlisted at all means you have excellent credentials and nothing'll take dat away.
My advice: print multiple copies of ur cv, go to VI and drop @ all d banks' head offices. Now that recession is finally lifting, the bank recruitment boom is starting again.

Cheers!

Levato: Uncle, im sure alot of people are not against whether u are in abj or owerri, wat people r angry abt is dat there r rather more fight and insult than contributions and it has been noticed that most of this kind of people are realtively new to the thread . So before u form an army calm down and stop using panadol for som1 else's problem, e fit cause liver damage. The way u'vbeen going in on people since yest has beentoo dramatic, so calmdown. Even if we leave im sure u'l still av alot of this people to thank eventually cos derz no tip uneed dat hasnt been discussed onthis thread. Weare not trying to fight hre, itsjust that alotof people are tired of correcting Those that are nt ready to listen
U forgot 2 mention most of the insults are from him and a those few ones like him. Please educate this kid that Nairaland is not the place 2 come and learn manners. He's just embarrassing his upbringing publicly.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Diamond Bank Test by TheBeam(m): 2:08am On May 13, 2013
I have never been involved in any of DB's processes, but Doyexy and co just blew me away till I became addicted to the thread, getting info passing around to friends who need it and all...

But I must confess, these new breed of potential recruits are embarrassingly unprofessional and immature! Unlike with the era of Polipompom, Ayoshonubi and the other gracious scions of the thread, these present children are uncouth, intolerant, manner-less, lazy and IMMATURE!

They all seem to wanna outdo each other in an unwritten competition of "who is silliest?" And parade big big *Englishes* like that's the proof of their worth! I daresay, it's a mark of a negative complex when u need to abuse others and constantly show that u're better b4 u can feel good; If u were in fact better, u wouldn't need to struggle so to convince us!

U can imagine how this pack will compete if recruited and given targets, they'll abuse each other and just destroy little by little everything the bank stands for with these immature squabbles and inability to think twice before reacting.

Well, I imagine any HCM/HCD official of Diamond bank who goes thru d pages here'll be dismayed like: "shey we neva buy market now, na dese ones one move our bank forward?" And frankly if I were in a mgt position in DB and saw this.......we might as well just start recruiting pepper sellers cos there really isn't that much of a difference btw u guys and dem except perhaps d triffling matter of ur B.Sc!

N.B: b4 u start rolling out the insults; JUST PAUSE, KEEP CALM, THINK!

michaeled45: Hahahaha u kinda right tho. She's good. I knoe u wil get this job so don't panic urself. I promise u. Just remember me in paradise as I'd be tryin again next year
Thanks for the well-wishes bro... I know it can't be easy doing that and I really appreciate the thoughtfulness and selflessness behind the gesture. I can only pray God will reveal what you need to do to get to where u need to be. I'm sure then u'd not even think of PWC as paradise but rather one of several attractive options. And as God lives, I offer this prayer with the whole of my heart "May he prosper your efforts such that men will wait on YOU!"

michaeled45: Are u sure u donot worship Banke? I won't be surprised.
Yeah I'm sure. Nobody is worthy of my worship except God and maybe to a lil' extent my mum....

Just impressed seeing excellence I'd only dreamed about 4 so long.......
Even d accentures and IBMs don't display the kind of efficiency PWC Hr has. Where else can u find ALL candidates contacted with their results within d period promised in Nigeriahuh

Westlord: U must hv had a quality time wen U did Ur verfictn test.
Verification test quality time ke? I had to trek from Law School to PWC and I was so sweaty when I got there to meet all the intimidating name tags on laptops in a heavily chilled room. If not for Madame Banke's soothing personality I'm sure I'd have had a very hard time passing the test....

It's not often a "NIGERIAN professional" (if there's anything like that) leaves an impression on me, but her?

UNFORGETTABLE!

It's a little thing called "paying attention to details". I'm sure it's on ur cv as "I am detail-oriented"
Here's a bloke who's put it into practice and I daresay for good measure too.

Ayokunle11: Guys, guys before you scare yourself and get BP, banke said the interview would run from second week in may till mid june. So it makes more sense to say others are enroute. Start prepping for interviews. Cos the way I see itn there might be just five days notice. All the best to those who have got the invite. We'l join you soon fir the interview and consequent success. Amen
.....and there he's said it all. There goes a man who listens to instructions and applies them later in the face of pressure. In short there goes an audit trainee candidate with excellent qualities!

Guys KEEP CALM!!

Just trying to diffuse the tension and anger here on the thread.... It's getting heated up in here to an uncomfortable degree.......

So sorry about all the guys who got the regret mails, but this doesn't need to be a disappointment or failure.... U can make it a learning point for passing that upcoming Chevron, Diamond Bank, Deloitte, KPMG, NNPC, Oando, GTB, PWC, Accenture, P&G or Nestle test....

As long as u have learnt something from this that can make you better, never mind the wasted effort or emotional *debits*

And the final and most important of all, always go with God and NEVER DOUBT YOURSELF!!!
You are not dumb or getting slower, you only either need to prepare harder or work faster.

Cheers all

P.S- I hope this comforts ONE soul! I know how it felt when I got dropped at the final stage of Unilever recruitment, pls take your lessons from this episode and move on or else, it could seriously un-settle u for other chances.
