Really this thread has been hilarious.... Sorry to all my comrades and superiors on the forum: Masagoody, Jesusbabygirl, KCPumpin, Joboy to whom I've become a stranger but my schedule recently was crazy.... That said, oga Ikenna, while I am a strong proponent of realism and objectivity, I also agree with a lot of comments here faulting ur mode of delivery. And even though I'm not privy 2 d origin of ur alleged provocation, subsequent comments I've seen from U'd seem 2 justify ur accusers. You have 2 learn 2 be tolerant of others esp wen they don't share ur habits/customs..... It's OK if u're able 2 deduce facts and act on them faster than others but IT'S NOT OK 2 RUB DAT FACT IN THEIR FACES.... It's a public forum, so u gotta respect ppl's rights 2 learn at their own paces and be STUPID if they choose to be. If u're gracious enough 2 correct 'em then must be graceful abt it too. To all others climbing on d young man"s back, kindly stop making more of an unfortunate situation than what it is.... That he was insensitive didn't mean what he said was wrong and I bet most ppl were already thinking along the same lines so it's a bit unfair unloading the fears and frustrations of our failed hopes on him. To all the parties who'be hurled insult at one point or the other: GROW UP! 1 Like |

Bensonn: Pls hw can i locate cham city abuja, from nyanya?A cheaper way is to board an "Area 1" bus. Drop under the bridge and climb up the bridge (Lol) and walk up to the cab park going to Area 11. Enter one of those and tell the Driver u're stopping at Chams junction or Abia House or High Court. They are all on that same street. Drop @ the junction (it's on ur right if u're coming from from Area 1) and walk up to the Chams building (It's about 2 mins from the junction) |

ciwi: @ Mr The Beam I am currently in T'S, YES sploofic is very very very correct. Some information shouldn't be passed on public forums. If there's anything u wanna know abt Ts,wait till u get there to avoid getting yourself in trouble. And yes, DB HR veiws this thread on occasions More evidence ppl speak from TS. Of course some info shouldn't be posted on public; like ur personal details or info which you consider sensitive to YOURSELF! But in case of a PLC these info are by no means confidential. Info which can easily be gotten by reading their prospectus or some other brochure.... Info they spread around campuses on their recruitment runs...... Info that's common place everywhere except in Nigeria where we must celebrate every little thing and hold thanksgiving service for creating a Facebook page..... Please do not constitute yourself an authority without any basis, let DB authorities speak for themselves if they view any disclosure of these info as inappropriate I'm sure they'd have announced it by now with all these famed reports of "DB HR MONITORS NAIRALAND" 1 Like |

Sploofic: bros get me well o coz u're taking dis personal. Its one tin 2 share info. Its anoda 2 share it on a public forum. You talked abt confidentiality. Have u asked urself y those who comment here regularly go into TS and neva say a word here again? If they didnt sign a confidentially agreement like u put it, i'm sure dey'll continue posting evrytin abt db during & after TS. Believe me, I never take things personal. I'm sure if DB didn't want guys sharing info abt the recruitment process publicly, they'd have included it as a caveat below their IV for the stages of their recruitment much like they say IVs should not be forwarded to parties not invited. Ur assumption that ppl stop contributing to the thread after they get in TS mainly cos of confidentiality agreement is flawed cos that's not the only thing that may make ppl stop contributing. A busy schedule, preparation for exams, huge workload, increase in stress level etc may also cause this and not necessarily any agreement. Moreover if u just care to visit earlier pages on this thread and check for ppl like Omnisharp and co, u'll see that their batch kept updating hopefuls on TS events even after getting in there. My bottom line is: you reserve the right to feel irritated and alarmed about the perceived indiscretion others exhibit on this forum but seeing as this here is a PUBLIC FORUM let everyone express themselves without fear of antagonism please. And until there is an actual prohibition by DB against sharing harmless info that ppl have so quickly termed "company secrets" let ppl who'll discuss it do so freely abeg, the Nigerian society is oppressive enough!!! 5 Likes |

Sploofic: na wa oh! Is it until u guys put us in trouble again b4 u pple stop all these unecessary questions. If u've worked in a corporate organization b4, u'd knw questions like dis are offensive. In business u dnt reveal ur secrets 2 competitors. Sharing wat u just asked is like doing dat coz nairaland is very public. @royalpurple & cindynich: pls remove by modifying d supposed timetable u posted. I knw u meant well but its absolutely wrong. @all: pls be careful not 2 ask unecessary questions or post sensitive details here. If u're lucky enuf to get into db, u'll learn all u need 2 knw. Stop putting d cart b4 d horse. My 2 pence. Please calm down with the "alarmism". Who put you in trouble before? If u've worked in a corporate organization b4, u'd know all d cloak and dagger myth people spread about secrets are mostly lies. Information on Training School resumption dates, core banking soft-wares, promotion and posting etc don't qualify as "secrets" and i don't see what use they are to competitors seeing as it doesn't have any direct bearing on operations. Moreover if these were secrets, employees would be made to sign confidentiality agreements protecting them like they do for really important stuff. In fact discussing salaries as prohibited as people make them out to be are only inappropriate if you ask interviewers too early and I have witnessed an occasion where a candidate for experienced hire was sent packing @ a panel interview cos he didn't know the salary scale for the level he applied for. If you find the info irritating, pls stay off the thread, there some to whom it means life and death and they need it to make informed decision on their next step. 6 Likes |
