please experienced guys can you enlighten more on this cos their silence is hurting especially without go and fund notification. I saw people talking about receiving go and fund mail after week of their interview but mine is a month now.

Go fund your account bro and notify them once it is confirmed. I had the same experience too as I didn't get any mail after four weeks, so I funded and notified them when Deutsche bank sent me the confirmation letter then I got my AM mail some few days later

If legends like terry, raul Gerrard etc who gave everything to their clubs during their peak even though many other clubs are looking for their services with a better payment, if these their clubs can not be patient with them now that they are old, I see no reason why any players should be loyal to his club cos one day he will be dump. Even Lionel messi nd ronaldo must be insulated one day by their fans when they diminish.

Gerrard is currently Liverpool's u18 manager. He was not 'dumped'

Sup boss..does TUM accept 2:2 graduates? My cousin is about pursuing an Msc programme (Mathematical finance and Actuarial science) in TUM although he had a fantastic waec result and a Bsc in Accounting (Unilag)

Hello,

If his CGPA is above 3.47, he might have a chance provided he has a superb motivation letter and he has done courses related to Mathematical finance and Actuarial science during his undergraduate degree. Some of which include probability theory, basic statistics, vector analysis, functional analysis, optimisation, calculus and the likes.
The Mathematical Finance and Actuarial science program here is highly Mathematical and I don't think someone without a degree in Mathematics or Statistics will be able to cope. Math majors like myself are still struggling to cope with the content. I'll suggest he looks for a course that requires his undergraduate courses as perequisites. I hope this helps.

Good luck!

Congrats...you chased a dream and won!

Thanks ninered. I was actually chasing the Canadian dream last year just like pvibe007 but I got denied twice by CIC for going for a PGD in a course not related to my undergraduate degree. It was a bitter experience but I had to pick myself up again, redefine my dreams and chase the German dream. Now, I'm an enrolled TUM student, a school ranked among the top 100 in the world! To everyone out there whose dreams might have been hindered by circumstances beyond your control, sometimes redefining them might just make you share your success story.

Painpill:
Interview was earlier in the week. My transcript.

Went in 6:30am. Did my biometrics, paid visa fee, submited my docs and my file was created and visa receipt given to me. I wrote my SOP in 10mins, submitted and waited for my interview. After attending to those for DB opening et al my interview started around 11/12pm.

-Do you speak deutsch?
-Where did you learn?
-To what level?
-Why Germany?
-Why do you wana study this course?
-Why not in the  UK or US?
-How did you get to know about the school n course?
-How did you apply?
-How much did you pay to uniassist?
-What docs did you submit during application?
-What response did you get after application?
-Plans after studies?
-Timeline from primary school till date.
-Your course structure.
-All modules from 1st-4th semester.
-Means of sponsorship?
-Parents occupation?
-Name of company?
-Bsc project topic? (And she googled it n blew me questions related to it)
-List textbooks you used during your Bachelors (Ikr? She typed all)
-Tell me more about your intended course of study (and she was googling n asking me questions related)
-Got family in Germany?
-Friends?
-Name of course coordinator?
-Ever applied for a German or schengen visa?
-Tell me bout your city?
-Name of your mayor?
-Spell it?
-Population of your city, state,  n germany?
-Kinda system of government practised in Germany?
-Name of president & chancellor & their parties?
-Name all German states?
-Neighbouring countries?
-How have you been preparing for your stay in Germany?
-Made accommodation arrangements?
Ayt, you'll be contacted via e-mail. Byee.(gave me back my passport)

My tips: -Practice writing your SOP in 10mins before your interview.
-Chow before going cos the worms in your tummy will gain free entry visa to all parts of your Gastrointestinal tract before you even get to talk to the VO. You can also say you don't have your prepaid courier envelope and you'll be asked to go get it after writing your SOP. Then you can use that opportunity to go eat/drink something. Won't be fun watching those security guys pulling out plates from the microwave and 1-litre sprite bottles by 11am while you wait for your interview with growling stomach.
-You might also be given a written test as the dude before me got softened with some math questions.

Ciao.

@arieshybrid if you've flipped through most of the pages as you said, you definitely would have come across these posts. Your questions were already answered by various monikers in previous pages. Instructor001 is right on his last comment, opening a blocked account is compulsory before interview but funding the account can be done before or after the interview.

Alright. Thanks bro. I'm grateful.
Bro it seems I've come across your moniker in Canada thread. CIC really dealt with me men. I have decided to give Germany a trial. Thanks once again for your response.

You welcome man. Yeah, I was on Canada thread last year. I had to shift my focus to Germany after all the disappointments. The German dream is weeks from becoming a reality wink I'm sure you won't regret the decision moving here once you cross your t's and dot your i's

How are their service like? What's the cost like? What's the time table and duration of programmes like?

For instance, I wish to go for A1. What's the price like? Can I enrol anytime? How long do I have to attend classes before exam? Etc

At the moment course fee is 38k plus 7k for books totalling 45k(you can't do without the books in class). A1 class is finishing 14.04.2017(All classes are finishing this date). To enrol for the next batch, try coming around this date as places gets filled up quickly. Typically, each level takes 14 weeks and classes are two or three times a week depending on your schedule. (156 teaching hours per course and one teaching hour is 45mins)

Hello friends, I would be pleased to know if there is any German Language institute (recognized with German accreditation) in Nigeria where I can get a sound learning of the language. Having gone through some parts of the thread, I discovered that been fluent with the German language could be of help in general terms as I intend to pursue my Masters Program and would apply to some schools mindless of its location.

I came across Goethe-institut and Deutsche Schule Lagos while I was surfing the net. Please has anyone attended any of the above-named institutes. I really need to get first-hand info. before making further inquiries. Thank you.

Between: congrats to sirheed2 and MrEbony

Currently attending Goethe Institute Lagos. It's the best in the country and the instructors are world class. You won't get a better education than Goethe's!

Yea...they gave me time to fund and reply...I gambled time because someone told me that rates would drop. Did 4000 yesterday for 420. I'd complete on Monday. I have till 28 nx month to resume.

Have u forwarded ur alert and have u heard from them?

How many weeks exactly after your interview were you notified to fund your account

Thank u. Like I said I'm not 100% sure yet if it will go through but I'm hopeful at least for me to be debited. Rate was 420, branch is the one at VI. I had to submit an invoice from my school stating my DB account on it as well before the transaction was sanctioned. This week I will know for sure if it goes through.

Cheers.

Alright. Wishing you all the best man

My account was debited on Wednesday actually, but without commission and I'm yet to get DB confirmation. Tomorrow I will confirm again from the bank what's up. But he assured me it will go through and truly my account got debited, so the transaction got approved.

Unity Bank, took 2 days after filling the form and submitting documents for me to get debited.

Congrats on your successful interview. What documents did you submit with the form? What branch of Unity bank was this done and at what rate?

Hi Guys,

I'm going for my masters. Do I really need to get a WAEC scratch card as part of the documents needed for interview? Can I get a prepaid envelope at the consulate on Friday which is my interview date?
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by TheDreamChaser: 6:34pm On Feb 19, 2017
Eke40seven:

It depends.
If you stay in Munich proper in a private accommodation, the average rent is between 450-500 euros for a flat share or WG. However, for a 'self-contained', 600 euros and above. Insurance, 91 euros if you are below 30, or 171 if you are above 30.
Spend between 60-100 euros for food in a month.
If you stay in the outskirts, it MIGHT be slightly lower, depending also.
You can do the maths.

Thanks man

Hi everyone,

I applied for a study permit on July 26 2016. My application was denied for a second time on 16th December 2016, I linked my application online as I applied through the paper route. I have not gotten my passport back up till date. I have mailed VFS Lagos and accra immigration, no positive response. I went down to VFS today and they told me there is nothing I can do other than to wait for my passport to be returned back from Accra like WTF. Anyone with any useful information on how to get my passport back as I really need it to apply for a German visa should kindly quote me.

Thank you
