Am a tiler here in Naija, I went to dubai 2016 which I spent like 11 months working in restaurant so I tried to move forward when I get a contact of an agent and told me that he will help me with Canada employment visa that I should come home to submit my passport for processing which I did, since 8 October 2017 up to this moment visa haven't come out, he always told me to be patient that he doesn't know what's happening and d last time I talk to him, he told me to find another link which he introduced me the Cyprus thing. Bless you for this. I cringe when i see them come to the UK and quit jobs on and off in the first month because they are used to a comfy life back home. They are never prepared for the hardship they never imagined encountering upon arrival.

Nothing is free in the west. It not like Nigeria where there is support from Fam or a means to steal for yrs and build yourself off it.

A guy I know that works for one of the top 5 best companies in the world right now, got a job a couple of weeks after arrival. Having started at Level 1, he is already thinking of quitting because to him, it is hard.

He is not the only person, the Nigerians in this company all came and they are quitting one by one. Able-bodied men. To my surprise, its the Nigerian women that are working the hardest and the West African women.

Even the rich Nigerian politicians' children still hustle in the UK because your father can give you the house and cars but you need to maintain it or find a lifestyle for yourself that you can maintain. After his retirement or unseating from politics, there's no more money to steal. Plus you don't know the blood oath he took to be part of his party. So you will live with the curses or repercussions until you can pull yourself out and carve your own way

Good evening everyone! I have filled ds-160 for my family. Our appointment is next year though. But my question is : my wife has two siblings in the US who are citizens - one is a businessman and the other is a salary earner. When I was filling the form ds-160 I used the salary earner as the main contact address. Now, someone told me I should have used the businessman as the main contact address in the US because of his financial status. Although I am the one sponsoring the trip not . I have been trying to correct this on the site where I booked for interview, but I can't find where I can update any new ds-160 form.
Please, should I just leave it or what are your opinions. Thanks.

In the good old days, they would have just issued you a 10 year visa so you don't keep coming back after the 3rd visa or so disturbing them, but as usual, our fellow Nigerians made the embassy shift the goal post.

They can only issue 2 years max as that is the visa reciprocity between Nigweia and the USA.I give you what you also give my citizens.Indians always get 10 year B1 B2 visas.No cap.I don't know what's so special about Nigerian visa that the NIS can't be giving Americans for that length of time so that the US can also reciprocate. Actually,the US say they prefer to give the 10 year visas at a time so that people don't just keep coming back frequently,but their hands are tied if your own country can't do the same

I have a question about POE interview…
A family member is traveling to the US next week on a B2 visa that’s going to expire at the end of October 2021. Duration of stay according to ticket booked is 4 1/2 months cause she’s visiting her daughter who is scheduled to give birth in the US.
Will the length of stay present any problems at POE? ( especially considering the fact that her visa is set to expire in less than a month from entry?)
What should her response be if asked how long she is staying for?
Would appreciate your ideas, opinions and suggestions.

Did she tell them that she was gonna stay for 4months at the interview? YOU have to be consistent with your story. The duration of stY on the ticket should be the same she filled on her application. And I highly doubt she will have gotten the Visa if she told them she was gonna stay for that period.They will ask what are you gonna do for that lenght of time? Her visa expiring in a month from.entry is actually not a problem Z, but she should be prepared to be grilled by the CBP on entry on why she will be staying that long and she better have good answers for them. She should be prepared to be sent to secondary inspection.Generally its not a good idea to say you are gonna stay for months

Also it’s important that you show proof of the ties you have in nigeria? Bank statement since you mentioned you’d be funding the trip yourself.
