Our irreducible minimum condition of staying in Nigeria is a restructured NigeriaLike I've said on another thread and I'll like to say it again. There's no middle ground on the agitations .... Restructuring or Dissolution are the only sensible options. I am for Oodua Nation. |
To be or not to be ....that is the question. Restructuring or Dissolution .....There's no middle ground. Those are the only solutions that'll be to the benefit of all. As for me I'll opt for Oodua Nation. |
“If anyone wants to die, let him go and die and hang himself on an electric pole. We (Southern Governors) have taken a decision and there is no going back. Enough is enough. We are not second-class citizens of this country. We also own this country and we must partake in what is happening in this country,” Wike stated. Rubberstamp SP take note. About time we take back this country from incompetents, jihadists, terrorists and nepotistic crooks. A United South is a necessity NOW. |
“We cannot be a nation that allows people who support terrorism to be out there in our public domain as public servants. We cannot have a minister of a sector that is so sensitive – as per our information, everything under that sector – be someone who is a terrorist sympathiser, whether has been, still is, repented or not.”Nigeria is not a community of people having common language, history, ethnicity, or a common culture so in the real sense not a nation. In the words of Chief Obafemi Awolowo Nigeria is not a nation but a geographical expression given to a people within an area having very obvious differences of cultures, language, mentality and aspirations. Whilst most wants development, sense of humanity, education, fairness and justice etc, there are those with warped mindset of nepotism, religious extremism, backwardness, terrorism, parasitic and winner takes it all attitude. So the truth is we keep deceiving ourselves believing we are one nation when the differences are too glaring. |
Finally. E Don set. It's time to change the course of this unworking marriage. To be or not to be ....that is the question that needs urgent answer lest it all blow up in our faces. Kudos to the governors and I hope they make good their plans. |
Nasir el-Rufai is a sycophant, ethnic champion and religious bigot who hates anyone who does not share the same faith with him. He is among the very few persons who have misled President Muhammadu Buhari. El-Rufai is one of the real enemies of this country who do not hide their divisive tendencies by elevating nepotism and ethnicity above the good values that have held Nigeria together over the decades.succinctly. |
formal initiation of a time-bound transitioning process to midwife the emergence of fresh constitutional protocols by a two-stage process in which the constituent regional blocs will, at the first stage, distill and Ratify their various constitutions by referendums and plebiscites, and in the second stage, negotiate the terms of federating afresh as may be dictated by the outcomes of referendum and plebiscites. Akintoye declared: “ By this proclamation, let it be known to all, including international money lenders, that Nigeria is now a disputed project and that while the constituent components commit to honouring existing international debt obligations, we caution that whatever obligations that may arise from any foreign loans contracted by the Federal Government of Nigeria from the date of this proclamation may come into controversy.A welcome development. I totally concur.

The world is your best teacher. There is a lesson in everything. There is a lesson in each experience. Learn it and become wise. Every failure is a stepping stone to success. Every difficulty or disappointment is a trial of your faith. Every unpleasant incident or temptation is a trial of your inner strength. Therefore nil desperandum (never despair). Therefore march forward hero. -Swami Sivananda Saraswati I wish nairalanders a happy and prosperous New year. |
After some break from this forum let me say compliments of the season to all. And I am fully in support of this move by middle and southern leaders. A stitch in time saves nine lest the faulty structure collapse on us all cos the indices are very obvious from the rising insecurity all over the country and it's a matter of WHEN and not IF. So let's us all make hay while the sun shines. |
This Obaseki na real mosquito on Oshiomole/APC scrotum. Edolites I say once again it's up to you to choose a lesser evil whosoever that is. |
Issuing statements alone won't be enough, they should request for a meeting with him. |
Aguogba:I've always been a proponent of either restructuring or outright division whichever comes first. And it'll be better we do it peacefully cos the division is just too glaring and the indices of an eventual violent conflict are there for all to see. |
michoim:I am not talking party affiliation nor meant only current administration and I'll advise you do same. Seriously we've had about the same set of politicians/retired soldiers running affairs of this country for decades and not limited to a particular party cos they keeps crosscarpeting almost every day to stay in corridors of power. |
LaboPolitics:Let go of tribalism cos it won't take you anywhere good. We need to start thinking beyond what policians keep using to divide the country and maintain their corrupt deathhold on the masses. |
You can never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. -Buckminster Fuller Fellow Nigerians it's about time we change the narrative not just for ourselves but for our society, generations unborn and a better world. It's about time we begin to let go of excuses, blame games and look within ourselves on how to make a better country out of the current mess, death of leadership, docility of followership and take up the mantle of responsibility of our actions and inactions. The current crop of leaders won't help the masses aside themselves, families and cronies. The country belongs to all of us and there's urgent needs to demand accountability whilst at the same time we come to equity ourselves. For me it's gonna be a new dawn. |
Some guys are just heartless and greedy. Imagine earning 60k as a mechanic/vulcaniser and still went ahead to connive with a security guard to kidnap your employer. Many graduates in the cities aren't earning that much but they still thrive with hope for a better future and this criminal primary school dropout wasn't contented. Full wrath of the law should be brought upon these idiotic criminals without mercy. |
“We the Yorùbá Nation therefore reject the holding of a future general election before Restructuring Nigeria fiscally and structurally. We state that the ship of state is veering off precariously into a precipice, and that Nigeria is at the very edge of a political subsidence, |
iwaeda:And which other option do the people have? Even a goat will turn around to face it's traducers if pushed to the wall. That's why it's urgently necessary for past leaders, elites who still cares about this country to summon up courage and meet with Buhari for a way out |
iwaeda:Prior to 2015 presidential election some of us insisted he's not capable of leading the country but were called names. I remembered one of his party hirelings called me Buhari hater but today the guy is nowhere to be seen on nairaland cos he must have been so disappointed that he's likely to have deactivated his account. So it's not just a matter of measuring up but failure of governance due to incompetency, nepotism, insecurity, ethnic jingoism, political brigandage and corruption. And people are not being held to account for their misdeeds. Past leaders needs to come together and have a serious talk with him on an urgent way forward lest things blow up in our faces soon. |
iwaeda:Self defence is the only way out cos the security architecture has failed. Remember Theophilus Danjuma told Nigerians that security operatives are complicit in some of the killings? At the rate it's happening now I pray we don't have another civil war soon due to reprisal attacks. And it's painfully annoying that these idiotic politicians will rather play politics and loot resources than take care of serious issues that concerns the masses. |
What is use of retaining service chiefs in Nigeria when people aren't safe. Majority of Nigerian leaders aren't patriotic nor useful for the country otherwise they would have met with Buhari and insisted he sack those guys. Despite the killings politicians only paid lip service to this alarming security issue and behaved as if all is well. The political class has failed this country and the masses aren't helping with their docility and sucking up to these evil policians. |
johnmartus:Are you saying southern senatorial district don't deserve it or what? There's a serious need for infrastructures in the zone most especially connecting roads and electricity. |
Either figure 888 or 666 just get yourself a deputy from ONDO SOUTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT. That district needs development urgently. |
![]() Nigerians go hear am from dis government. We may soon be asked to pay airing our views on social media, calling radio/tv programs, attending social functions/clubs or fined for returning home late |
The June 5 Movement, named after the date when the protests began, has tapped into deep anger over Keita’s perceived failure to tackle the dire economy, corruption and the eight-year jihadist revolt.Ironically Buhari is part of those brokering peace deal in Mali whilst there are worse situations in naija from lack of jobs, bad economy, insecurity coupled with incessant killings in different parts of the country and gargantuan corruption in MDAs of govt. Charity should begin at home and Nigerians needs to learn from citizens of smaller African countries that are challenging status quo of bad governance. What's the essence of claiming to be giant of Africa when majority of citizens are docile. |
Chairman of the Senate committee on Power, Gabriel Suswam, while briefing the Senate on the existing agreement, said part of the deal the Federal Government had during the power sector reforms was that the investors will have the legitimacy to pull about $1.2 billion from the country’s foreign reserve. If the above is true then the FG better be preparing for it cos no one should be surprised some politicians and civil servants are already popping champagne and waiting for it to happen as the essence of deal may be for it collapse for them to have their share of the $1.2b The crop of leaders we have aren't patriotic, loyal nor interested in the well-being of the country aside selfish interests. |
All I can sense from this is that it'll just be a change from one looters gang to another. If a whole EFCC chair can be facing corruption charges wetin remain again? Corruption has finished the country. |
Corruption everywhere. So the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) should be moved under the supervision of presidency too? Our democracy is nothing but a jackpot for politicians in Nigeria. |
He's an actor and a movie producer so I expect those vehicles will eventually feature in his movies. |
Chai...Will that stop corruption in NDDC or just a change from one looters gang to another? Masses from the Niger Delta don suffer from policians brigandage. |
I wish her family strength to bear the loss. |
This coming OÒDUÀ NATION is inevitable to say the obvious. No army could stop it. No Airforce could impede its march. No Navy could swim against its tide. No amount of bullion vans could buy it off. No internal enemies would survive it. Yes, internal enemies in their usual perfidious l ways would try, but as usual, they would fail. No amount of external collaborators would succeed again it. OÒDUÀ NATION is an idea which time has come. "Ideas do not create crisis, it is crisis that creates idea," so postulated Fidel Castro. OÒDUÀ NATION IS HERE.Yes it is the internal enemies we should very much be wary of. The omoales who'll sell their souls for power and position. Those who are ashamed of their heritage and would rather discribed their family compound with left hand. Thank you Remi Oyeyemi and more ink to your pen. Truly no one can stop an idea whose time has come. |
