Silent prejudice? That title will be good for a political series considering happenings in naija. |
IspitonCowards:The House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating non- implementation of the pay- as -you- go tariff plan may have thought he's trying to play smart with his illness and thereby inform NCDC to do the needful. We all saw what happened the other day with the MD of NDDC at the national assembly. |
Falling sick is the 'format' when the elites and politicians are asked to account for their stewardship. But bros Ugbe fell into house of representatives trap with his own letter and was 'dashed' Covid-19 in abstentia ![]() |
But Sowore didn't say anything new from what he said before on same issue. Except I am missing something I remembered It was posted on nairaland that they tried to make him drop his stance against the government on the call for revolution. |
Effects of frustration. Many are going through difficult times. And security operatives aren't helping matters. |
Na wa O. Whosoever joins politics should be ready for anything both exposure of his past and that of his ancestors. But who's the lesser evil amongst these gladiators? Edolites it's up to you to decide. |
Na today Nigerians don dey ask Buhari to sack dem? Incompetency has been elevated to statescraft under current administration. No one should be surprised that the presidency will respond by passing a vote of confidence on same service chiefs under whose various parts of the country has turned to killing fields. |

Many a times I feel Naija is beyond redemption on corruption fight. |
Scrap? Agreed corruption has defeated the essence of the commission but it needs to be repositioned. But their past activities must be duly probed and anybody found guilty should be jailed without mercy. |
Mtshew. They are always United when it comes to pursuing personal interests at the detriment of the masses. |
Infotablet:"He who comes into equity must come with clean hands". Let Akpabio also prove he's clean of the mess at NDDC. My own is that whosoever is guilty should be prosecuted but will the NASS do justice to the matter at hand? |
Good development. Now that NASS members have throw down the gauntlet, Akpabio and the NDDC shouldn't hold back any information. Let the royal rumble start as we await to see best singing canary amongst the gladiators
|
Damn.. Akpabio change the game with that statement and the committee chair stylishly told him not to continue but trust Akpabio and his loose mouth he finished rubbing it in. Everyone involved this gargantuan corruption in NDDC including Akpabio should step down and prosecuted if found guilty but from the way this probe is heading it's gonna be swept under the carpet. Bunch of looters pretending to be democrats. |
Really? Another alleged member of the cabal gone? |
“Ministers and all heads of Departments and Agencies should at all times conduct themselves in ways that will not undermine the National Assembly as an institution, its leadership, and members,” President Buhari stated. But NASS can undermine the country by becoming NDDC contractors and looting the ministry in connivance with politicians?. And I hope Garba Shehu followed up happenings at NASS today. |
Iamgrey5:It's quite unfortunate and it makes one wonder if democracy is good for Africans. Nigeria is a clear case of democracy gone wrong. And the masses aren't helping matters as many are looking for ways to loot if given the chance instead of fighting for their rights and against ills in the society. The country is messed up. |
Iamgrey5:If he successfully followed your advice then his ways will not be pure cos he'll definitely join the gang of Yam eaters a.k.a dishonourables/looters. |
Thomas Ereyi-Tobi should know the cat has been let out of the bag. "“Most of the contracts at NDDC are handled by members of the National Assembly"- Akpabio, which means they are major beneficiaries of NDDC corruption. So what Nigerians want to know next is how much did NASS members loot from NDDC. |
punisha:Don't be surprised if he survive it. He was accused of looting billions of naira as governor of Akwa ibom but EFCC looked the way when he joined APC and Buhari still went ahead to make him a minister. And the NASS will very much likely give him soft landing cos he may start singing if they insisted on probing him. Coupled with EFCC/Magu's corruption case NASS will want to avoid another scandal involving members and remember Gbajabiamila just said NDDC MD won't be questioned by the committee again. Current government has made a mess of anticorruption fight. |
It is finished. Lobatan. Anyone who doesn't fear naija politicians should be feared ![]() Akpabio and NDDC MD have successfully blackmailed NASS. The probe will be swept under the carpet. RIP to corruption fight in Nigeria. |
samtee37:Sure meme. The guy be like....Oga you can't die now you must vomit our yams first ![]() |
What ![]() Hmnn.... it's becoming clear that NASS members are part of the majority beneficiaries of NDDC corruption. Chai corruption has killed naija democracy. |
Everyone involved in this NDDC show of brazen corruption and shamelessness should be removed from office and prosecuted. It's nauseseating that politicians, civil servants can be so brazen in criminality and fraud without batting an eyelid. Akpabio and those involved should be asked to step down from their positions pending conclusion of investigation, forensic audit. |
Out of guilty conscience or fear? The man is so jittery he couldn't stand the questions. Akpabio wahala dey o ![]() Next thing will be he'll be on wheel chair and claiming his health is in jeopardy to avoid being questioned or prosecuted. Let's stop receiving ourselves, corruption fight in naija has collapsed. Until we institute capital punishment for corruption it'll only be a case of chasing shadows. |

@Godlovesyou28: Your story is quite saddening if true. But it beggars more questions than answers cos you didn't reveal much details. What if your parents former housemaid is your biological mother? What if your mum is a sister to your step mum? What if there's a conspiracy way back that your parents/family are trying to hide and exposing such could bring your family/father into disrepute and more pains to you? And what if your real mother doesn't want to be found? These are possibilities that your search may lead to, a kinda dark hole that you may not be prepared for psychologically, emotional except you are truly prepared for any eventuality. However it's your right to know your real mum but from the story it seems your dad would rather die with the secret than tell you. Who knows maybe he's trying to protect you or it could be your step mum engineering the whole thing as it's hard believing it's coincidence for you and your cousin being sent to the seminary. The same cousin whom a family claimed is of the same mum with you? Well I wouldn't want to judge but you have to calm your emotions if you want to find out the truth. It's all within your freewill as a human spirit if you so desire but there's more to life which is a gift from the creator. So relax, take care of your health and apply wisdom in the situation. Your answers lies in the village if you can find a reliable family member, friend to dig for it. Moreover, our parents are vehicles for our earthly life/experiences which is just a step in creation and at a point we have to choose our paths as 'independet spirits' and there may be a silver lining on your own path. I wish you all the strength in your 'journey of life |
Double jeopardy. |
haiti007:You may be right and true private schools aren't finding it easy due to Covid-19 pandemic. However the authorities need to investigate this cos we wouldn't want any outbreak of disease in such environment after resumption of schools. |
JAMO84:You think say you don make sense abi....SMH Zombies never fails to disappoint. When will people stop the blame game and ask the current administration to keep their promises to Nigerians? |
At least he ain't shocked this time around. Maybe we should consider that a step in the right direction? ![]() Giving statement upon statement when serious actions should be taken. |
Raising chickens for the next generation or what ![]() Maybe it's for school feeding program when students resume ![]() |
loneprof:Imagine policemen attempting to abduct her at odd hours without warrant of arrest. There's too much lawlessness in this administration and later the presidency will release the usual statement of the president not being aware and shocked. Instead of making lives better for the people naija politicians keeps adding more to the problems. |
