Honestly, UWL wasn’t my first choice, if you read my visa alert post you’d maybe understand why I settled for it but now I’m just in regrets. I informed the Student union and they said the only way I can receive a refund is if I come back to Nigeria and I will only get 50% of my tuition, alternatively if I have plenty money I can pay tuition for another school and reapply for another visa whilst I am here but I won’t get a refund for that, instead I will be owing UWL!!!. I can’t do either so I am accepting my fate and will just finish. I just pray the certificate will be useful as the school No just get any level for here at all. Maybe it will have level in Nigeria but I don’t have plans of coming back to settle there.
Laspotech is way bigger than this school in terms of landscape, actually no comparison at all. The ealing campus is just like house on the rock in lekki while the brenthfort campus is one big company like building with multiple floors. It’s just as if I am in a polytechnic with the amount of money I paid. It’s so painful. I visited a friend in Roehampton Uni, my Gosh, you should see that school!! That is an actual university!! So big with the accommodations in it and all. That’s where I was trying to transfer to. And the standard is so great, very well respected and they have given me admission but I can’t do anything with it now.

Firstbank. Debited me after 31 days. They returned my application back to the branch because of insufficient funds but did not update it in the workflow on TRMS. I had to keep disturbing the branch FX officer with calls. It was him who checked and told me they returned it from head office.

I topped it up with the rate he told me and even added a little extra. He treated the file according to him and sent it back to them.

I was debited the following day (yesterday) at 528.7

I heard Unity bank and Ecobank are quite fast. Maybe you should visit the branch. If you sit at home after applying for Form A at this time where there's FX shortage, maybe you don't need the FX urgently.

Was debited at 528.7 yesterday morning but I'm yet to collect my TELEX.
Read earlier where someone said they debited him at an initial rate the first day and was debited an additional amount the following day. (That's the only person who I know to have experienced such so far so I'm not sure why)

I want to collect my TELEX first to be sure that's the final amount. I really hope it is.


If you have applied and it has been approved; awaiting disbursement or debit, just check the OANDA rate and add N35 extra to it and multiply across how much you want to pay. Also, disturb their customer care (calls & social media) often because your application might require some processing issues and they'll forget to update it on the workflow chart on the TRMS website.

You are not supposed to tamper with the remaining school fees balance and your maintenance deposit. However if you did, you need to deposit it back and start a new cycle, which imply that you can't even apply for biometric now till the POF matures next month.

When is your resumption BTW?

I didn't actually contact them but one of their staff gave me a call yesterday, asking if I had made my payment, I told her that bank was the one delaying it, so she said I shouldn't worry that I still have till on the 19th of August (which is the CAS deadline) for my payment

what of tb certificate.... I discovered they usually don't add it as mandatory doc to upload.... As anyone ever been denied visa for not uploading TB Cert?

I opened unit bank account on 13th of July and initiated form A the same day. I've been approved@ADB disbursement reviewer just now.

January intake

I initiated Stanbic and Zenith since 7th of July and they are still@ADB_REVIEWER.

- yes you can use an MFB but make sure it is insured by NDIC and licensed by CBN (check CBN site to see if it is listed)
- when you deposit your POF (maintenance fund remainder of tuition) in the account, wait for 28 solid days before printing.
Now, after printing on the 29th or 30th day, you must use the statement printed before 31 days elapsed

Good question, the Indians along with some Middle East and South Asians are all in this criminal boats but the Minister who is of Indian heritage signs with 9ja.

Recruit 1 Indian into a company and come back 6 months after to see them take over almost every aspect of the company.

The truth is, the UK economy isn’t doing fine and these immigration routes are ingenious ways of keeping the economy going - use n dump mentality.
They collect your school fee, IHS, and all collectibles then after your studies if you are not smart or lucky enough to stay legally, they push you out
That’s why you have to plan adequately with different options so you don’t get stranded
