We can copy Mastercard and GTB in the petition and hope and pray that there were loads of people affected because it's people's support and endorsement that can actually make this petition successful. Please anyone else who was affected can you indicate your interest and let's decide how to move forward. Even if you weren't (I wasn't ) we know where the shoes are pinching us right now with all this forex drama. We shouldn't take it lying down.

Kai! See ehn! Start reading. Read this thread page to page. Take notes where necessary. Write possible questions and prepare your answers ( the truth). The reason for writing is so nervousness won't get the best of you. You'll have prepared for each question that comes up.

Write a proper budget. Get documents others have used successfully. In other words be totally prepared and confident.

Then Pray. Pray like you have not prepared. Prepare like you have not prayed. I wish you all the best.

It's not just Johnson and johnson oh! Check them other brands too- they contain talc except a few. Plus, before now pediatricians don dey talk am on the use of all ' these products ' on baby's skin especially infants. So my 2 cents check with your peadiatrician and not just any doctor on what's best to use on your baby.
One just has to be extra careful and do research but above all God is our defender.

Not like I am defending J and J, but read the actual article.

It is not their baby products that was slammed with a law suite. It was their feminine wash that the woman claimed gave her ovarian cancer, which cannot be proven, because nobody else has come up with this complaint.
I still think it's better to err on the side of caution. It may not be the mere presence of Talcum powder but it's interactions with other ingredients in their products that caused it.

No court would award damages to the tune of $72 million without Just cause.

Nearly 1,500 women who developed Ovarian Cancer after using their products have already filed lawsuits.

Saw on abokifx that the rates were conflicting on that day, 199 for some, 299 for some. Just wondering how the bank would address this issue. Try to follow it up regardless.

Good morning ppl, if you used gtb at 199.9 last week, check your account o. I just checked mine now and ds covered they have deducted about 70k that makes my transaction to be at 300 naira. Bun trying their customer care to no avail, I think they intentionally did that to make ppl fall in their trap e.g myself, cos I have thought I won't patronise them especially now, i even transfered all I have away from the account except 3k, but now I see a balance of -69k meaning any money that enters the account, they will deduct it. Thunder fire them and their generation......for cheating ppl in diff ways.
Awww so sorry about that.

Good day mamas. Pls for mamas using Huggies DIAPERS (Bought from US) What is the difference between Little swadlers, Little Movers, Snug and Dry ...e.t.c. Also, there's one called Ultra, and the Other just Huggies....pls I dont just get it. need to buy but am so confused.
Hey hun, from my observations with them, the little swaddles are best for newborns because they're gentle on the skin. You can retain them for kids prone to rashes and the rest.

Little movers are best for babies who have started to crawl, cruise or walk, because it gives enough room to move around without being irritated by the diapers quickly when they pee or something.

I used to use snug and dry at night because it offers 12 hours protection. So with the exception of where baby poos at night I don't need to change diapers till morning. ( this diapers are for babies who have started to sleep through the night to save mummy the stress of constantly checking the diapers to avoid a rash)in my opinion oh. They serve the same function as the overnites.

So you can look at all the options if you're buying diapers in bulk to bring back here, but if not then you can just stick with little snugglers Abi na swaddles.

Naija huggies is okay too.

Now I get it, d problem why am fraud is cos I said am not planning to use them. Lots of people change doctors here and I don't see problems.
I've decided to rebook, spend maybe two nights there then go to the new accommodation I just got that I think is better and cheaper. Ok maybe this matter can rest.

If u can advise me whether it's my name that should be my mother's contact person in the us on her form or its still the doctor I used in my application. Am wondering cos she's not his patient? Thank u.
You don't have to stay there, it's your choice. Just don't think you should rebook if you've found somewhere else. Also since your travel date has changed you can just cancel the booking and inform the embassy of your change of plans to avoid issues at the POE.

I honestly don't know about the other question oh. Do you know anyone else there that you can use as a contact person. Cos I don't think you can use yourself and it may not be a good idea to use the doctor again for her since like you said she's not a patient.

Please if anyone has been in a similar situation can you help out with whether you used the doctor as contact person for your mother?

Write to the embassy about your change in plans and cancel the booking so that you can free up the space.
You sounded like you 'used' the accommodation for visa purpose without having intentions of using it in the first place. You further stated that you were considering whether to re-book it when you have no intentions of staying there; just to pass through POE.
That was the reason for the response. Your question was judged based on what you typed. You might want to read it again. She really wasn't just picking on you.
Thanks hun, I no kuma know wetin to talk again.

Hello house, pls help me understand what to do
1) I booked intown suites for 30th March, now am leaving for 2nd wk in april, will that be a problem if am asked at POE? Or do I have to call or rebook again? Am not planning on staying there, I used them for my visa interview.
2) am applying for my mum, who do I fill as her contact person in the us, I used the doctor as mine?

Thanks for answers in advance
Please dear, this is a public forum. A lot of people read this thread. It is not restricted to Nigerians.

When we make comments or ask questions like this one you asked above, it passes a message that fraud or misrepresentation is aided here. IT IS NOT.

This thread is solely to aid our fellow Nigerians who are going to a foreign land for better medical care. It's not to give out short cuts or ways to boycott the law.

Nigerians are honest people. Let's act like that. If you intend to change your accomodation then notify the embassy. If you don't want to notify them the least you can do is not bring it up like there 're people here who will be willing to train you in wrongdoing.

Justwise I actually think this kind of comments or questions should also be moderated so we don't send the wrong message to unseen eyes who are reading.

Everything I've said was written in love. No ill feelings, just the truth.

Beautiful pple, una good evening oo. I'm one of those ones who fell into addiction to this thread. though seldom post comments, I always try to keep up with the gist on here. I've been seeing a lot of newbies asking for cheap and very cheap hospitals and doctors recommendations so I'm obliged to post this to remind us all that primarily our goal for embarking on this trip remains safe and top notch health care for momma and our unborn babies.
Some time towards the end of last year, my baby was on admission for an infection for about a week and most evenings during that week, I'd take him out for.some fresh air within the hospital premises. On one of such walks, I decided to take a break and let him just play around one of the parked cars and noticed a middle aged man on the phone. from the conversation I immediately gathered he was one of the consultants in the hospital liaising with another on how to proceed with a particular case. It sounded serious. So about 5 mins later, a young well dressed man came up to him and he happened to be the husband of the patient in question. To cut a long story short, the patient had just had her baby about 5 months ago in the US through a CS but obviously, she was suffering complications. They had just concluded extensive investigation and it turned out that there was a serious infection caused by a foreign body in her and she had been haemorrhaging badly. To cut a long story short, the Dr was basically informing the distraught husband that they had to go in again for another surgery immediately. I stood there, my curiosity getting the better part of me and not allowing me to excuse the men but in my defence, I was at the spot 1st. A part of me wanted to go up and say a word of prayer and encouragement to the man but the fact that i gathered the info by eavesdropping held me back. The guy finally left to go meet his wife (I presume ) and the Dr resumed his call to his colleague. It was at this point that he mentioned that indeed mistakes in medical practice were possible even In the so called developed countries as the woman had had her baby in the states. Hmmmn.
Now I don't know this guy from Adam neither do I know that it was a 'cheap' hospital or doctor that they used for birthing, (matter of fact the guy appeared very 'rich' and arrived in a very nice ride) neither do I know the wife's previous medical history. But the whole incident for me just reinforced the need to always remember that first thing first, it's all about the health care quality. All other things come next. I ended up offering a silent prayer in my heart for that family . So let's all check.check check. Read reviews, go with referrals, go with tested and trusted. Yes it's in all in our interests to continue to discover new affordable packages and places but we must do our due diligence in ascertaining the quality of their services. A 'cheap' package and easy POE alone are not enough to make a choice of hospital and doc.
2nd missionary journey was loading, had an August edd but angel baby tins...It is well. Congrats to all the new mums and dads and a very safe delivery to all still pushing. Cheers
Couldn't have said it better!

May God give you double for your trouble.

Why does it seem like the naira against the dollar is being manipulated by a group of people...its like they have exhausted a lot of their dollars selling at 400 and now manipulate the price down to buy cheap and then speculate the prices up again...

Anyway as @onlineise said...if one gets a price well below 300, best to just buy and keep even if missionary journey is months away...
I agree.

It's just demand and supply. I think It's a uniform decision between the BDC people to reduce the price. The idea is to increase supply ( cos when everyone sees that the price is coming down they're eager to sell so as to cash in on this inflation). When supply increases, demand is less, most people are hurriedly buying to make sure they have something to fall back on if the price keeps going up. So if people stop rushing to buy cos price seems to be dropping steadily , those who have will rush to sell. ( solving the problem the BDC have which is no supply from CBN or other companies they previously bought from).

Moral of the story is once they've bought they may very well increase the prices again. Possibly next week sef.

Am I seeing clearly?

Are people praising their president because $ is now exchanging for N300?

Lord have mercy, we have a long way to go oh.

If we don't realise that it's the common man that is subject to parallel rate. We have a long way to go.

You're making this an argument about GEJ and PMB but stop and ask yourself whose pockets are being pinched.

We must learn to want a better nation regardless of who our leaders are. We must learn to speak the truth irrespective of where our leaders are from. We must learn that we have rights and until we begin to benefit the rights and privileges that accrue to us as citizens of this nation, we must stop the unnecessary political bashing and face the truth that at the end of the day, we need good leaders.

We did not find it in GEJ and we have missed it again with PMB.

Tell yourselves the truth please.
