Bevista: GMB was addressing NASS members during their induction course, where he mentioned 8 challenges that his administration will face on assumption of office. These include Falling oil prices, Insecurity, Youth Unemployment, Power, De-industrialization, Environmental Pollution in ND, Rebuilding of ravaged NE, etc.
Typically, though, the media has singled out Falling Oil Price so as to create a sensational headline. Baba is not making any excuses, he was simply being pragmatic and calling on the Legislature to join/support the Executive as developmental partners to tackle these 8 challenges.
GMB simply highlighted Challenges, something every corporate leader (whether in private business or public service) does. You need to be objective about the issues, so you can come up with the right strategies to tackle them. I'm sure most of you will learn this as you become leaders.
Stop commenting based on headlines, please always read the body of the article. I still believe GMB/APC administration (with $60 oil price) will be miles ahead of GEJ/PDP administrion (with $110 oil price). Good thing, he has promised to stabilize world oil price, so his highlighting it as a challenge is strange. |

fboycaestro12: Well it's not everybody that understands how things work. Was it Buhari that made new budget? The budget for 2015 has been concluded by the present administration, that's what they have in stock for us after the election just like they did 2012 January. They never included subsidy fee in their budget and it has been passed by NA. So which one is Buhari this Buhari that as if he's Merlin that will perform Magic. The present administration have been so bad that they want to frustrate the incoming government. God help us in this country Firstly, the incoming government doesn't believe in subsidy. Secondly, Buhari is at liberty to bring the budget into consonance with his party manifesto through a revision or supplementary appropriation |

Subsidy has already been removed by the present administration. The budget for 2015 has been done by GEJ led administration. They didn't release it until after election just like they did in 2012 January. Ogawisdom no be Buhari comot subsidy. I hope this helps you anyways Budget is not a secret document. It has been with NASS since last year and was only reconciled and sent to Mr president for assent, this week |

atlwireles: APC said there is no subsidy, no shaking NLC, there is nothing to remove according to APC and the buharist crowd. All OPEC member countries subsidizes the product.... Most of Nigeria's import comes from same source as that of Ghana and the thing doesn't sell for 40 naira in Ghana.... But here ovasabi people continues to say it is non existent. Another thing, sell petroleum products at 40 and it will never be available in Nigeria because there is a profitable market at that price around our borders. Thankfully, the ball is now in their court to prove their submission. |

The people of osun never begged for the welfare package in the first place, scrapping the program will be tantamount to deceit, since he campaigned with the so called welfare package...
I hope Buhari's administration learn from this... It was used to siphone state funds for the elections. Now that the elections are over, the program is no longer useful. |

Could it be a deliberate ploy to make sure that these folks leave the system carrying with them implicating evidence & also to make sure they are not available to testify when the probing begins? #JustThinking. Ephemmm: Buhari barred, not banned: this is what happen when someone sacrifices professionalism on the altar of money-making. or is only AIT the media house in Nigeria?
why it is understandable that NTA has no choice than to support the incumbent regime, it is high time they take a clue from Channel. All the so called hate materials were available on virtually all popular TV stations like channels, besides the court did not find ait guilty of any professional misconduct so why is Buhari doing the work of the court? Ephemmm: "Does the govt make its document public each time there are allegations of corruption". Is this a reasonable question to you? Why the rush on the part of GEJ to release the audit report in less than 24 hours after Buhari said he will probe the scandal? If they accuse you of something, so the best way to keep yourself clean is to keep your evidence under the table abi? I wonder how your sense functions honestly. Naijaepic: And what reason do you adduce to the fact that this report was kept in closet until the president elect declared that he will re-open the case? Audit reports are for management purpose... To help identify areas of weakness and strength and how to deal with them accordingly. It is not design to disprove a wild and baseless allegations like Sanusi made... I can't take that report seriously without the suspicion it has been tampered with, that is what you get for not being straightforward, you lose people's trust.
