GitHub commit is not the only means to access ones competence. I choose projects to make public and all. All these small projects doesn't need contribution. Simple HTML,css,and JavaScript....unless it is a big project that requires complexity.

Whether you like it or not, most recruiters would always use GitHub commits as one of the parameters for judging applicants. Unless you've gotten enough experience and now a Senior.

Choose Computer Science. The world is more focused on software as a whole than hardware. You'd easily build digital software skills as you spend your 4 years learning rubbish.

It's funny how women are defensive about the set-phrase "What do you bring to the table?".

First things first: The metaphoric "table" here is not limited to just financial contribution, but every contribution that adds value to a relationship. We live in a society where men are judged by their pockets, and at the same time, still expected to perform every other non-financial things, just because "he is a man".

A man is expected to take care of his family, offer protection, satisfy his wife sexually, take care of even extended relatives (including the wife's) and yet still be the one to financially hold everything.

A woman on the other hand, only basically offers her orifice between her legs and thinks she is doing the man a favour. An average Nigerian lady barely even give her boyfriend or husband money, contribute money to homerunning regularly, in fact, a woman can't even offer the non-financial services like protection, and hard chores.

Going further, they would argue that they give love, care, loyalty and sex, rubbish!! A man equally give these things too, so yes, they are inconsequential in this argument. A man gives you good sex, straining his waist to sexually satisfy your long road to orgasm as a woman. A man gives you money regularly to satisfy your never-ending needs (heck he has needs also). A man offers you protection and shield ( something no woman can offer). Some men even go out of their way to take care of your siblings and parents just because he is in a relationship with you.

This argument is definitely null and stupid to be argued upon, the issue here is crystal clear and needs no scrutiny. Ladies, you all can do better by scaling up financially, stop bothering your boyfriends with your petty needs and wants, and try to keep your feminism away from your home and personal relationship.

PS: I'm not a redpiller, I am simply just a young guy that is sick and tired of being viewed as transactional simply because I have a penis and a set of testicles between my legs. I'm off.

Been there before, that is why I advise developers to switch to Macbooks. They are just very reliable even though expensive. If you use a macbook you can trust the battery to last you at least 5 hours on heavy usage or 6-8 hours of light use.

When I take zoom calls with my clients I don't bother if there is light or not. I position my desk close to the Window. I know you are just starting out but when you start getting gigs invest in a better laptop.

I had a similar experience recently. I was suppose to have a zoom call for a Ruby on Rails position. The call was to finalise a few details about the role. The issue I had was with Internet connection. I use airtel's mifi. Just exactly the time for the call, my Internet connection went bad. OMG I was sweating profusely because the person I was suppose to have the call with keeps to time.

Quickly, I had to subscribe for 1gb data on my mtn yet it was still unstable. Thankfully, we were just able to have the call with a few network glitches here and there. In the end I had to apologise for the inconveniences experienced.

This just goes to show you what developers in Nigeria go through and it also speaks volume of our resilience and persistence to keep going irrespective of the challenges we encounter.

Having a good solar system will help with power supply challenges. With regards to Internet connection, just subscribe to different networks.
