Do you know about Osun-Osogbo Festival? It's about a water goddess who was famously known for providing children for the barren. I was reportedly told that some folks from Europe wanted to whisk her away. This goddess used to float over water. A big massive fish, floats on water in a standing position on water. People in their thousand will gather around the river, a major river called Osun River. The goddess(the big fish) spews water while people offer all sorts of sacrificial gifts ranging from live chickens to live goats and sheep: they are thrown into the river as sacrificial gift for the goddess. I need to mention that I heard too, that the fish has some part of it in human flesh but it was nothing no one ever saw before until now.

Ah my dear boy, the fun thing about life is the ability to guess.
Now, I'm going to give you the liberty to make an asumption, a coupon to either flatter me or insult me with a number.
Dem say age no be maturity, but just two comerades.

Okiez, you only have one coupon to easily assume am"mature" or "just a kid". Guess away
I knew you were going to throw in the guess card. You're 29.

That's absolutely the right way to go about it. Keep to yourself, observe people before communicating with them.
My dear, you understand the key to communication; understanding your neighbors before you personally approach them.

Fall in loveon NL? Each to his own. I don't know about the "Love" part.
But some are in like with each other and some just plain infatuation that later wears off.
I was just curious about that though. But it's not being interesting these days. I do really come here because this is the only most populous forum I know that Nigerians converge with a few foreigners. I just wonder sometimes.

I'm not sure if reserve is even the right word.
More like you post your thing and waka. You've now began to use smileys, which is a way to express emotions (anger, sadnes, laughter, shock , confusion etc). You're opening up and becoming more human like. Before you were more of a machine  . . . .more manual and orderly, no expression.

What can I say, I observe people cheesy
I was trying to get used to the drill on NL. Never knew what it was like. I don't even remember how I got to sign up or when I did either. I post my stuff and bounce because I wasn't familiar with anyone. I didn't want no one thinking I'm seeking attention or whatever it is other people look for on there. I knew a lot of people get to be called "attention seeker" and all. At some point, I determined I was just going to be watching topics but not post; hey I couldn't keep my fingers from joggling up and down the keyboard's kids. I's trying to get to understand people on there and know what they particularly stand for. OK, let me start mentioning IDs I got familiar with -- FL Gators, iice, sistawoman, spikedcylinder, luxoire, bluespice, platinumnk, MrBrownJay, whitelexi, 190, Eyeonigger, C2OH5(I had an altercation with him), and a lot more. I'm not in denial though, that NL has been quite cool. Do people really fall in love on here? Just being curious.

Romance › Re: 9 Most Shocking Secrets Women Don't Want Men To Know by TheSeeker(m): 2:13am On Jul 22, 2009
This is the REMIX! And I AM NOT GENERALIZING OOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Women sleep with your best friend or family relative.

You find out she's got a crush on your boss.

She doesn't like your mom because she scrutinizes her.

She thinks you'd be better than her friend's boyfriend hence, the constant criticism and comparison on your personality.

You found out she used to be a prostitute.

You find out she's such a huge, bonehead liar.

She appears all decent and understanding, pressing on, you'll see she's materialistic.

In my opinion, there's no shocker than a woman herself. Women on their own are shocking secrets.

justwise:
I disagree with u on that, No criminal should be protected, Do the crime, do the time
That's not what I meant. I'm saying US protects her citizen from being humiliated outside her shores, even though such person will end up doing term in "God's own country". No matter how heinous the crime is, she will always come to the rescue of her citizen. I remember a Nigerian guy who was sentenced to death and executed in Thailand when OBJ was president. Different calls came and nothing was done. I hear the Somalian pirates are holding some Nigerians in their custody. The families of these hostages have repeatedly contacted the Nigerian National Assembly, badly, nothing has been done yet as I rightly anticipated.

platinumnk:
like almost any male millionaire that like spreading money on girls. They had a video of a American football player who showered strippers with $100,000 in one night. now tell me whats the big deal about the allowance? I surely didnt tell my friend to give back the 5,000; the man gave it to her happily. some men like doing it, but i dont envy it, it feels better when u earn things urself wink

Listen to song Fancy -The Dream
$100K on a stripper per night. If I analyze that correctly, it means he paid for the entertainment he received. That he overpaid is left to him for a final decision. He thought that was how much he'd part with for the fun he had. So tell me, paying an allowance to a girlfriend, as what? I'm not flying in the face of buying gifts whether expensive or cheap, paying for some of her stuffs while you feel you can; but make it an obligation for a guy? Hell nah! Like you said, it feels good for a woman to have her own thing. . . . I respect them a lot.

I bet a fellow Nigerian snitched on them!

Kai! This is a major set-back to Yar'Do-Nothing's rebranding program cheesy

A solid immigration lawyer will get them off in no time, all things being equal.

PS: How come the media never referred to Bernie Madoff (Guiness book of record holder with $50 Billion in fraud) as a Jew/of Israeli descent? Na so-so Naija dem go dey shout! What is it about us that attracts mudslingers?
Yes, someone snitched on them --- probably due to disagreement in cuts or something. If Madoff was a Nigerian; Jesus!!!! We will have been banned from the United Nations, but he's an American, ya know? America protects her own, I wish Nigeria can adopt the same.
Romance › Re: Sham Marriage Busted by TheSeeker(m): 8:39pm On Jul 21, 2009
Always wanting to dent Nigeria's name. They offered the money and the other party took it, so what's up with that? If they want it to change, then they should rule out citizenship by marriage -- which is highly impossible. This happens everywhere, even in America. I know people who run it as a cartel. Pay 400K from Naija, get to the US to stay with a woman and get married. Have your passport in a few years or so. If y'all fall in love with each other, fine; if not, y'all go your way when the contract is done and sealed.
