National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adamu Mu’azu, has reacted to the purported public endorsement of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) by former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, describing it as one of the “ biggest surprises”. The PDP Chairman, who lampooned Obasanjo for endorsing Buhari, wondered how a former president who wanted to extend his tenure beyond the constitutional eight years would now claim to be a fanatic of change. He also berated Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka, whom he said was in and out of jail during the military era, which was still “singing the change anthem” of those who imprisoned him. Mu’azu, in a statement released on Thursday, however expressed optimism that his party would win the 2015 presidential election, insisting that the APC mantra of change had lost steam. He called on the party’s members and supporters “to gird their loins, tighten all loose ends as they face a titanic battle to ensure that they win a historic fourth presidential election victory, control the national assembly and produce more governors on April 11, 2015,” he said. Mu’azu explained what informs his optimism about PDP emerging victorious at the polls thus: “our opponents have been disoriented, their consistent fabrication of lies to win the votes of Nigerians has been exposed and their change mantra has lost steam. There is no sector in Nigeria that has not witnessed tremendous transformation and change under the PDP government. “The seed sown by the Jonathan administration in the area of education has hit the most desired part of the country with the establishment of the Almajiri schools, which has already revolutionized education in the north of Nigeria. The establishment of nine new universities in the area means that those youngsters will continue with university education when they graduate to that level,” he said. Other parts of the statement read, “The opposition All Progressive Congress has tried to belittle this massive transformation with their high decibel of noise that it was nothing to write home about, but the truth is that those young lives have never had it so good. Their totally transformed lives are bound to become the cornerstone of the new Nigeria we are building in the next four years and beyond. “The APC’s sickening shouts of change have lost steam and they have nothing else to shout about and this is the best time to put them where they belong, in the dumps of defeat at the opposition benches across the country. The biggest surprise is the endorsement of the opposition by our own former leader and former president, whom we supported for eight years and wanted more years to continue the leadership of Nigeria and we refused to kill our constitution to do so. Now he is a fanatic of change. “Our famous Nobel Laureate who has been in and out of jail houses because of his opposition to military dictatorship is also singing the change anthem. His best friend and townsman, the greatest musician that this country has ever produced must be shaking in his grave to learn what his friend has done. Let me assure all PDP faithful that victory is in sight and we must pursue it with vigour until the last vote is counted; the freest and fairest election result is announced and we are victorious. “The greatest gift our party is offering to Nigeria is freedom. Under President Jonathan, you are free to say what you want to say, do what you want to do provided it is lawful. Under the Opposition APC, you will be watched, trailed and sorted out if you oppose them as you are freely opposing the present incumbent. The Internet is awash with evidence of abuse of President Jonathan and PDP leaders. If you think it can continue if the opposition is in charge, wait and see. “The lies being laundered by the APC about the PDP administration has in fact yielded one dividend that has done the PDP one good turn. It has brought the best in us. It has ‘shined’ our eyes and we are now ready for whatever they bring to the table. Defeat is theirs and victory is ours. No shaking, my people.” http://dailypost.ng/2015/02/12/muazu-describes-obasanjos-endorsement-buhari-biggest-surprise/ 27 Likes 8 Shares |

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe has reacted to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s prediction that a new government will be formed on May 29, 2015. It would be recalled that while speaking on election postponement, Obasanjo in an interview with Financial Times in Nairobi on Monday said: “I’ll only go by the constitution. By our constitution, there must be a new government on the 29th of May and the constitution lays out how that new government should emerge”. Obasanjo also endorsed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. Reacting Tuesday night, Okupe wrote on his Facebook page: “Someone was reported to have said “A new government will be installed on the 29th of may 2015″ Lamentations 3 vs 37 says “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass when the Lord commandeth it not? Isaiah 7 vs 7 says “Thus sayeth the Lord God, it shall not stand neither shall it come to pass.” “Please if you are a friend of President Jonathan say AMEN to this.” http://dailypost.ng/2015/02/11/not-god-okupe-reacts-obasanjos-endorsement-buhari/ 71 Likes 3 Shares |

Fellow Nigerians, Buhari’s handlers keep on claiming the economy is collapsing under GEJ, and Buhari is the right man to rescue it. Fortunately for Nigeria and unfortunately for them, the economy isn’t collapsing. However, under Buhari’s 20 month administration, the economy did collapse. Here is an article from the Guardian of March 15th, 1984, a full 15 Months into Buhari’s disastrous regime. Titled ‘Employers complain of worst business situation’ it states inter alia: “Nigerian private employers said yesterday that their companies were experiencing the worst business situation in 50 years, as the Employment Minister… tried to assure them that the economy was picking up. The President of the Nigerian Employers Consultative Assembly (NECA), Dr. Michael Omolayole, said practically all companies experienced a marked deterioration in their economic performance and that at the same time unemployment rose to levels not witnessed for a long time since the 1930s. He said the situation had forced some companies to open “the books”, and speak “frankly to their employees about their company’s position and to listen to suggestions and constructive comments which have come from the lowest category of their employees.” Compatriots, as can be seen from this article (and many others like it), Buhari was a man who mismanaged Nigeria’s economy like a drunken sailor manages his savings while on shore leave: out of existence. In 15 months, Buhari managed to bring unemployment to levels not seen since the 1930s, expecting him to create jobs now is like asking him to present his WAEC certificate, or debate GEJ, it just can’t happen. Truth is, while it’s not perfect, our economy is definitely healthy, growing and vibrant thanks to the capable stewardship of Goodluck Jonathan, handing it over to Buhari, is like asking a hungry dog to take care of your new born chickens because the hen is brown. I realize your vote belongs to you, and you can use it how you please, but for Nigeria’s sake, base your decision on historical facts about Buhari’s extremely poor ability and track record at managing the economy, and not lies that Buhari’s campaign spends its time selling to you. Thank you for reading, God bless you and God bless Nigeria!

Fellow Nigerians, one of the biggest lies Buhari apologists have sold Nigeria is that Buhari’s administration was corruption free. Nothing could be further from the truth, corruption wise, his administration was as bad as any other in the nation’s history. Here are excerpts from a Financial Times of London Article Dated August 28th, 1985. Article came the day after Buhari was unceremoniously booted out of office. Intro: “The soldiers came in with a perspective but not a policy,” said a former senior official earlier this year.” On the Economy: “He was reviewing the consequences of a belt tightening exercise with no relief in sight: rising unemployment; industries running at a fraction of capacity; a vastly overvalued Naira, which distorted agricultural prices; and inflation running at over 40 percent. At the same time, there were increasing doubts about the merits of what was to be the first of a series of oil barter deals. These provided temporary relief on the import front, but offered no answer to a host of economic difficulties and they were at the heart of widespread of misgivings about the extent to which corruption was again corroding Nigerian affairs.” On Security “As hundreds of civilians and politicians were detained in the first week after the coup, the security organization became increasingly unpopular and many of its officers were suspected of settling personal scores. Weeks and then months dragged by in which comparatively few of the detainees were brought before military tribunals and those who were, often suffered rough justice.” On Corruption: “In the meantime, there emerged widespread scepticism among the Nigerian public about the army’s claims to have reduced corruption. Not only were senior ministers allged to be making fortunes in the time honoured fashion- kickbacks on contracts and import license allocations but suspicion was also aroused by big oil barter deals in which middlemen in or close to government were alleged to have made fortunes. As months passed and the economic recession deepened, the long suffering Nigerian public became increasingly doubtful that the military government of General Buhari which began to stifle criticism by curbing the once outspoken press, had the answers to the country’s problems.” Here is the actual article: There you have it folks. Buhari can run on any platform he wants, but when he or his handlers dare tell you he was running a government that wasn’t horribly corrupt, share the knowledge you just got here. If Buhari allowed this much corruption to thrive when he was as an absolute dictator, whose emergence was owed to less than 50 military officers, can you imagine what he’s going to allow if he emerges as a democratically elected President who owes favors to numerous political ‘Godfathers?’ Thank you for your time, God Bless you and God Bless Nigeria! 1 Like
