You are the one that should ask for more information. Yes Osun paid 300 million compare with the fact that Oyo have been paying since last year until this June. Did your brain skip that part too?
Do you know we were to start exam last week Monday but the workers said they will not conduct the exam until Osun pay because Osun can not be trusted again.
That was what prompted Seyi Makinde to make that statement that Oyo will pay the money if osun did not pay but that there will be consequences. The following day after Seyi statement the Lecturers announced they are no longer going on strike, why? Because they trust Seyi will pay them.
For your information am a Ladokite and also from Osun.
Osun State is the one that holding Lautech back.
The lecturers will not trust them because that was how they use to deceive them. It was Oyo that use to bail them before hoping they will pay later but the school collapsed when Oyo becomes incapacitated.

The quote below is from the last two paragraphs. Report dated 2016.

Also, the former Attorney-General under Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola administration in Osun, Mr Niyi Owolade, said, though there was a Memorandum of Understanding between Oyo and Osun on the splitting of LAUTECH, but with conditions which Oyo government has not met and could not meet.

Part of the conditions he said, was the fact that if there was going to be any division, Osun must be paid its share of the university within 30 days and moratorium of ten years must be given for the sake of students and staff of the institution.
Since Gov Makinde is making mouth maybe he can fulfil the conditions but the question still remain ' who will pay Osun salary debt?'

OlujobaSamuel:

The crisis predates both states or party. They both can't fulfill their financial obligations to the sch as it stands, this is evident in the two states inability to pay workers in the state.
Oyo owes lecturers in other institutions owned by them, Osun owes workers in the civil service (lecturers are not owed as they have a kind of autonomy, that's the institutions don't go on strike except lautech).
Akala started the crisis when he lobbied Oyinlola to sign off the sch because he is from Oyo state and they belong to same party, while Osun had a baby(uniosun) that they see more as theirs unlike lautech.
Leaving the sch by any of the party is practically impossible for any of the governors except some financial conditions are fulfilled which can only be done through proper valuation of the sch.
Well, if you mean the issue of ownership then it is true that it was akala that started it and this is because Osun wasn't fulfilling his own obligation which makes the school always go on strike especially anytime they want to write exams. I don't know their initial court agreement pertaining ownership but I'm sure Osun is not that interested in the school again because they can't fund the school. They are being forced to do the little they are doing. All this statement they are making is just to make sure it doesn't look that they just keep quiet. We are already in September and they are talking about paying July salary. Isn't that shameful?

OlujobaSamuel:

The crisis did not start in 2016 if you truly know the genesis.
The major peak of the crisis was when Akala tried to take over the institution.
Auditing was not just about igr, but how it was spent also and how much the school truly needs.
On your other point in respect to sch stopping the audit, maybe you should update yourself with the role played by the mgt in respect to the audit.
I didn't say the crisis start in 2016. You can also update us here

OlujobaSamuel:

Where did you get this figure from since the sch mgt do not permit an audit of the sch financial records?
They both owe combine unpaid salary amount to above N4bn as at 2018. School auditing was to know the IGR. Both of them know how much they are to contribute and how much they are owing. The problem with some of you commenting here is that you don't follow what has been happening to the school since 2016 but you just want to prove a point

Yes,IGR maximum utilisation is sth,but in a situation where IGR is recklessly managed with the hope of govt to take full charge of both salaries and maintenance is unrealisable.

[By the way,What's the difference between both tuitions fees.
How do you know the IGR was wrecklessly managed?. Was it the VC that told you this ?

OlujobaSamuel:

Osun already has a percentage of staff and students allocated to it.
The major issue is Oyo trying to blackmail Osun to surrender the school ownership to Oyo, Oyo or Osun(with the current economic status of Nigeria, except maybe Lagos or oil producing state) cannot afford to fulfill the breakaway/acquisition clause.
The best is for all parties, including sch mgt to agree to audit of the sch finance, then can they know what they are investing in in terms of quota as owners
I think the two states are also playing politics about school auditing. They own the school and constitute the governing council, your workers cannot stop you from auditing your school if you want to.

So, it is Oyo that is not owing Lautech?
Oya, tell us, how much is Oyo owing?
Don't lie o. Remember Makinde said during campaign that Ajimobi was owing Lautech.
Both of them are owing but Oyo is more committed than Osun and former Gov Aregbe has acknowledge this. He has even openly said it that Osun cannot afford the expensives.

What about Osun's investments in Lautech, they should forget it like that?

Or is it Osun that made Oyo not to establish their own University?

The fact is that they (Osun) might want to leave but their problem is that they don't want to pay their debt. They owe more than N3b

I agree with you sir but I think the Osun State Government has consistently being silent on this matter, hence, making them look like the unfaithful ones.
They are silent because they know they are underlying cause of the school problem. If they have been active in the development of the school, nobody will even make any statement to drag them into mess

Then read the article carefully, there are some part where both resolved to pay certain amount for take off,Osun said they didn't see evidence of payment of Oyo after their portion have been paid since.

By the way,how much are they making as IGR in the school,we know how much they are collecting as tuition fee and acceptance fee,how are they making used of it?that's the question begging for answer and that caused their recent strike during Aregbe regime, atlease Osun has state university and they know what they make as IGR.
Your governor is playing the same politics aregbe played. 'They did not see the evidence of payment' is Oyo paying the money to them?. By the time Gov Makinde drag Oyo state ass well, they will wake up from their slumber. Oyo was taken sole responsibility of the school for almost a year without any payment from Osun. Infact if Osun has been forthcoming in making contribution like Oyo, Lautech won't have been in this mess. You talk about IGR, I know that is the original plan of Osun. So they want the school fees to be raise as high as Osun university so that indigent student will not be able to afford to pay, when Oyo Gov is already thinking of reducing the school fees self.

what is this one saying?may i ask, which debt are you talking about?look before you leap.
Both two states are owing lecturers several salary backlogs. In fact, that was why their school went on strike for so long. But Osun debt is almost double that of Oyo and your master, Aregbe has been saying Osun don't have money to fund the school.

I think what is happening is that some of Seyi Makinde's handlers and PR people are being overzealous in their efforts to laud his image, so they say a lot of crap and half-truths without having their facts right. I won't be surprised if Seyi himself didn't authorize the tweets that generated this particular controversy.
Osun is the one driving the school backward. All what seyi makinde said is the truth. As you can see from the post above, Osun claimed to have paid 300M for July salary when we are already in September. The lecturers salaries payment from January to June were paid by Oyo state consistently and this is the reason why you have not heard that Lautech went on strike for awhile now but when it reachs the turn of Osun to pay (from July to December) things went sour again.

Put this your energy on something productive. Two of you look to have different temperament. Your bf seems to be melancholic while you seem to be choleric. you need to establish a common ground to settle your differences. It is sad both of you think you are in a relationship but you are not. What is happening between two of you is pure cupboard love.

That's rubbish. Did you watch Galatasaray him in the UCL?
my guy was swift. He simply plays the musa role. Musa can dribble players, that's all, his passing is poor, his shooting is poor. Onyekuru made the Turkish league team of the year. He plays at the top level while musa has diminished playing in Saudi.

All I'm saying is for the coach to feature him in the second half by switching musa for him instead of Simon.

We are playing Algeria next and we need to take every chance we get.
Salah too had a decent performance in EPL last season but what has he offers in AFCON. You still don't understand that afcon is always rough and energetic. Onyekuru can't play at this moment. He does not have the strength self.

what makes u think so? BTW, Onyekuru's position is wing.. just dat Galatasaray converted him to a striker... If u judge him with Statistics as a striker, Ighalo is better than him.. but I know he does well as a winger.. I think Ighalo should start on Sunday, if he doesn't do well, Osimhen should replace him.
He cannot play energetic football. He's very slow in the wing probably part of the reason why he was converted to a lone striker in galatasaray

But when Collins was introduced yesterday, all the local men were pleased.

At least if they are going to sub musa, they should put onyekuru, he knows how to hit the target. Stats don't lie
He's not fit into the current formation. If onyekuru want to play, the coach will need to change the formation to 4-5-1

Onyekuru should be given a start in the next match. He is by far the best striker Nigeria has at present.
Not at this crucial stage. No new player should be introduced unless there are injuries
