johndwayy:how would you hv identified pro-GEJ?? |
A Lesson For All Nigerians Mubi, the biggest commercial town in Adamawa state, was thrown into chaos the day Boko Haram descended on it and the people found themselves running for their lives. The terrorists shot sporadically, killing a lot of people while those who could escape jumped into any available car to run to safety. Christians, Muslims, Igbos, Yorubas, Tivs, Hausas and any tribe or religion, jumped onto any vehicle that was headed outside the town. Soldiers scampered onto trucks with civilians, begging to be saved, hundreds of people who could not get a vehicle ran into the hills. In their frantic effort to stay alive, no one paid attention to anybody’s religion or ethnicity before asking them for help or helping them to stay alive. It was a community of people, united by their desire to escape the common enemy that hunted them all without discrimination. Ethnicity and religion vanished, all they were left with was their humanity. Those climbing the hills stayed together, helping one another stay on their feet as they all tried to survive. The most interesting part of the narrative is that the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Badeh is from the same town of Mubi. It has been reported that few hours before the attack, helicopters flew in and evacuated his family members from the town. The chief of Defence staff by the way, is the most senior military officer in Nigeria and he controls the army, navy and air force. Before that sad day, someone from Mubi would have boasted that the Chief of Defence Staff is from their home town. But on the day that it mattered the most, he evacuated only his family members and abandoned everyone else to their fate. It means he had information of the impending attack and as the most senior military commander, he did not fly into the town to lead his men in battle to defend the community. He quietly saved only his family and left even the soldiers without an inspiring commander to motivate them to engage the terrorists and defend the town. One lesson all Nigerians must learn from this story is that as a people, all we have is our neighbours. When you need some help at home, you knock on the door of your neighbour. The president, governor, senator or minister is not there to help you. Why then should you continue to fight your neighbour because of a man or woman who cares only about his own family? Our elites may deceive us about sharing the same religion or ethnicity with us, but time and again, they have proven that they do not care. We have been fools, killing one another on the basis of religion and ethnicity while they stay united across all the divides and plunder our wealth. The time has come for us to rise, educate one another and unite to fight our common enemy. The politicians are our enemies and not the poor struggling men and women in our neighbourhoods. What now will the people of Mubi boast about as the gain of having their son as the chief of Defence Staff? If you go to Otueke where Jonathan comes from, there are many people who live in excruciating poverty! There is still a lot of poverty and suffering in the home towns of all our governors, ministers, parliamentarians and former presidents, while they and their families live in scandalous affluence. The minister of petroleum spent over 10 billion Naira on a private jet. That money can end the poverty of several communities in her state. Stella Oduah bought two cars with 225million Naira while there are people in her home town who can’t afford 500 Naira to feed their family in a day. http://newsrescue.com/the-helicopters-that-evacuated-cds-badehs-family-from-mubi-a-lesson-for-all-nigerians-by-elvis-iyorngurum/#ixzz3IIXvGWw2

......to be sincere with ourselves GEJ really fumbled. Security and Corruption are the two curses in his administration. Public sentiments wouldn't have changed if it's only corruption, as some would hv counted it as Nigeria and Nigerians normal stuff and our way of surviving as individual in Nigeria. But Boko issue eh? even petty traders and villagers are always disappointed whenever they hear killing news from their Palito radios......Sorry!! Aboki Radios rather #lolz |

Former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo has warned political parties not to toy with the idea of selecting a Muslim-Muslim or Christian-Christian ticket in the upcoming election. The former Nigerian leader was tacitly referring to an interview granted by the likely presidential candidate of the All Progressives congress where he stated that he was not opposed to a Muslim-Muslim ticket. In a brief press statement, Obasanjo said it will be absurd for any party to make the costly mistake of choosing both top candidates of their party from the same religious background. I think the thing is getting beyond control for a woman called KEMI OLUNLOYO as the fans blasted her for calling herself GOD with the ability to control men… Oooop is it because of. Her Boobs? The controversial Kemi took to facebook to share her page statistics and instead of leaving it at that, she claimed she is god and can control men.She also said Nigerian women rarely follow her on social media because they have very low self esteem. In other words, women are threatened by her ..Lol..When some male fans chastised her ,she insisted she is God… “Males are mostly following me on social media. I have an ability to control males as they see me as a strong personality that can change their lives and educate them. Most ARE NOT EDUCATED ABOUT BASIC THINGS. Females rarely follow me on social media because Nigerian women have very low self esteem. So guys, keep worshipping me.I am GOD! http://aprokonews.com/fans-blast-kemiolunloyo-for-callingherself-god/

What have you been up to? Work work work… Movies and music but I’m still recording You and Afrocandy were recently seen together, are you guys doing a movie? Yes, we are. We’ve not done the job yet. She did an audition and I was invited over to help in the casting. We did an audition at Excellence Hotel so I went there to help her cast and I’m part of the movie too. Do you believe Nigerians are hypocritical about s*x? Oh yes they are, some of them do worse things behind closed doors. So don’t judge me. I do what I want to do but I can’t do po’rn. Anita is crazy, Anita is this, Anita is that, but I can’t do po’rn. There are some kinds of things I can’t do. If I’m doing business with Afrocandy, it’s movie business not po’rn and it’s my business. Nobody has the right to tell me I shouldn’t do it because she’s this, she’s that. That’s their business. Is it a po’rn movie you are doing with Afrocandy? God forbid. It’s an African movie. Afrocandy does other movies too. The one she’s going to do soon is an epic movie like a village kind of movie. Then the other one is another kind of movie, we call it Glamour. Glamour is the one you have many rich people but the epic is the village one. It’s not a po’rn movie, don’t mind what people are saying. I assure you it is not po’rn. Anita cannot do po ‘rn. You know why I can’t do po’rn? Because the money will finish but the movie won’t go. It’s not something I would like to do. Everybody in life has what he or she wants to do. I don’t care what anybody does. Some people say you’re friends with Afrocandy and all that, So What? Can you do s*x in a movie? No, I can’t There was a movie I saw you, where Nkem Owoh was touching your boobs, what movie was that? That movie was The Gamblers. In the script, they said he was supposed to touch my chest; we have to make it real so I gave him my chest to touch and that thing blew people’s minds. That was the whole idea, he touched it for real. Have you done any other stuff like that? I do lots of stuffs like that. It doesn’t matter; it’s the kind of job I do, so it depends. It depends on what the script says, sometimes you just have to pretend to be there. Its pretense, Acting is all about pretense. Which actor do you have chemistry working with? I have chemistry working with everybody but there are some people you work better with, lots of them. If I start mentioning the names, you won’t leave here What do you consider the s*xiest part of your body? Everywhere is s*xy because everybody has what trips him or her. Some like the B0 0Bs, some like the back, some like my legs, I’ve seen somebody that loves my palm. My fingers are very s*xy. You say you love tattoos, how many tattoos do you have? I used to love tattoos. But I don’t do tattoos anymore and I’m trying to remove them. I’m not a tattoo freak anymore; I’ve grown out of that. In fact the tattoos on my body are mistakes. I advise people not to do tattoos. Tattoos are addictive. If you do one you want to do another, at the end of the day you’ll start regretting them. I don’t love my tattoos anymore. I wish I can clean them out. Where is the most hidden place you’ve done a tattoo? The most hidden one is the one on my waist and on my B00Bs What do you find attractive in a man? I love men that are simple. I don’t like men that are too loud, I love it simple Are you currently in a relationship? I'm single and not searching What is the craziest thing a fan has ever done when he saw you? Hitting my bum. Someone has seen me in Shoprite before, hit my bum and ran away. There was nothing I could do. There was a movie I did Open and Close. I was a nymphomaniac in that movie, I had s*x with everybody around me because it was the story. The guy said that thing you did in Open and Close, can you just do it to me? He started whining in Shoprite, mimicking everything I did in the movie, the way I was doing. I just turned to leave and the next thing he did was to tap my backside . I wanted to pursue him but I wore heels so I couldn’t pursue him. http://www.insidenaija.com/photo-allowed-nkem-owoh-grab-b0-0bs-actress- http://www.insidenaija.com/photo-allowed-nkem-owoh-grab-b0-0bs-actress-anita-joseph/ -joseph/

Omonigho Abraham, the 4-year-old boy who was attacked by two dogs in the Igando area of Lagos State, has said the police and the government must ensure that the dogs that almost took his life are killed. The little boy, who is in the Burns and Plastic Ward of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, told PUNCH Metro yesterday that he would not return home until the dogs were dead. Narrating his ordeal, Omonigho, who still had a bandaged head, said he had tried to run from the dogs when they started to attack him but he was overwhelmed. “I was playing with my brothers when the dogs entered our flat. I could not jump, so they bit my head. I pinched Gaddafi (one of the dogs), but he did not leave me. It was when I heard the voice of my mummy that I woke up. I want them to kill the dogs; I won’t return home.” PUNCH reports that the young boy, whose face was still marred with signs of the attack, wore a sad countenance when he saw the gory pictures of his torn head on his father’s phone. He later started playing games on the smart phone. A worker in the ward who said the boy’s health had improved compared to when he was admitted said: “The day they brought him here remains unforgettable for me. I couldn’t eat throughout that day because he looked horrible.” PUNCH Metro had first reported that Omonigho’s scalp was bitten off by two dogs in their neighbourhood, while he played with his brothers. www.247naija.com/police-must-kill-the-dogs-that-attacked-me-omonigho-abraham/

The two dogs that ate into the skull of four-year-old Abraham Omonigho in Igando area of Lagos State have been paraded by the Lagos State Police Command. Earlier on today, little Abraham who is now recovering from the savage attack had said he would never come home until the dogs are killed. But according a new report on PUNCH, the Lagos State Police Command says only a court of law could decide whether the two dogs would be killed or not. The command, which paraded the two dogs at its headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos State on Tuesday, added that the dogs had been examined and been found to be disease- free. The Commissioner of Police, Cornelius Aderanti, said it was important to parade the dogs so that the public would rest assured that the dogs were still in police custody, and had not been released as being rumoured. He said: “We have brought the dogs out so that the public would know that they are still in police custody. They have been examined and show no negative trait. It is only the court that will decide what happens to them. The police cannot decide to kill the dogs.” A veterinary officer of the police, Yahaya Usman, also told journalists that the medical record showed the dogs had neither rabies nor other dog-related diseases. He said: “Initially, we quarantined the dogs, and wanted to find out whether the dogs had any disease or not. That was the first step taken by the police. The dogs were under our watch for a period of weeks. So far, they have not shown any negative trait. The medical history shows that they don’t have rabies or the Ebola Virus Disease. The dogs are with us, and only the court will determine what happens to the dogs.” Meawhile, the victim’s father, Mr. Odiah Abraham, told our correspondent the dog had three days to the incident chased a neighbor and his wife had warned the dog owner, but he refused. He said: “Three days to the incident, a woman who lives in the neighbourhood had gone downstairs to spread her clothes on the line. She had left and was approaching her room when the dogs ran out of their cage and pursued her. She was just lucky that she was close to her room, if not they would have bitten her. She ran in and shut the door against her. The dogs stood at the gate for some time and when they saw she did not open, they ran back to their cage. My wife met Stanley (Wesley) and told him to do something about the dogs, as there were little children within the neighbourhood, but he just ignored the warning.” PUNCH Metro learnt that Wesley was the brother of the owner of the house and had been the one collecting the rent from the tenants. www.247naija.com/photo-lagos-state-police-parade-dogs-that-attacked-4-year-old/

Jonathan may not win 2015 election - Asari Dokubo One of the biggest supporters and kinsman of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has declared that the president has lost the support of his political base, the South-south and the South-East owing to the failure of his government to deliver on its promises. Dokubo-Asari, at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, said that it would be tough for Jonathan to win the presidential election in 2015 if he decides to run based on the poor showing of his administration. He said that his decision to speak out was for him and others who are ardent supporters of Jonathan not to be blamed for his failure in 2015. He said: “I want to start with an Ijaw proverb, which says: the eyes watched its seven children to death. Instead of advising them, it was just looking at them until they died, while the mouth talked its only child to life and success. “We have continued as Ijaw people and the entire Niger Delta and South-South to support the presidency of President Goodluck Jonathan, but a time has come when silence cannot be golden. “We mainly speak out in issues that are very critical to the survival of our people, the survival of the people of the South-South and the South-East, which happens to be the political base of Goodluck Jonathan. “Jonathan is surrounded by very greedy people who are only in the Presidency to enrich themselves at the expense of Goodluck himself. “This brings us to another Kalabari proverb, which says: where there are elders, a goat cannot be allowed to deliver tied to a stick. “If we don’t talk and we continue to brush it aside, tomorrow we will be blamed and people will say: Mujahid Dokubo-Asari was around when Goodlcuk Jonathan was president and he didn’t talk. “Them I will be an accomplice and accessory after the fact…. “It is alarming because the South-South must have its uninterrupted eight years tenure, which is constitutional. “But with how things are going under Jonathan’s watch, we are afraid that we may not be able to have our eight years tenure because there will be no magic about it if it is going to be one man one vote.” Dokubo-Asari said he will continue to speak out despite the fact that he had benefitted from Jonathan, adding that one of those causing trouble for the President remains the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Chief Godsday Orubebe. He said: “I have benefited immensely from Goodluck Jonathan with my stake but benefit alone is not enough to make me to keep quiet when the period is very challenging for our people. “So, some of us are tempted to ask this question: why are all these things happening? “Why has the President allow some ministers like Godsday Orubebe to continue in government? “Everyday people die on the East-West Road. “If Orubebe is incompetent as he has shown himself to be, he should be removed. “Nobody voted for Orubebe. “And why is Orubebe so important to the President that he can’t remove him even in the face of his obvious incompetence and several allegation to corruption? “We feel very ashamed and embarrassed. “Orubebe was one of us. “He was attending meetings with us, sleeping in the ground with us, entering night bus with us and we nominated him to be appointed a minister. “We have gone to him and complained to him that we don’t like they way things are going in his ministry and told him that if the President leaves in 2015 without the completion of the East-West Road, we are finished. “And the man keeps telling us there is no money. “When IBB (former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida) was there, there was money. “When Abacha was there, there was money. “When others were there, there was money. “How come the money disappeared when Jonathan got there? “Jonathan and orubebe will account for the death in the East-West Road.” On the face-off between Jonathan and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dokubo-Asari said there was no need for it. http://newsdiaryonline.com/jonathan-cant-win-2015-presidential-election-dokubo-asari/ |
