Will the 120,000 laptops come with voice recognition software? What spec of laptop is the 2,000 USD budgetted for? Data processing systems are not gaming or graphics systems. Some body should please advise Prof Jega not to fall into this trap. |
GAR3TH:IMO Calabar is the most livable city in Nigeria. Sane people, sane environment. |
What are you bringing to the table? Abeg share the NL cake oh! Spread the joy! |
News Source: DAILY TRUST. I see this as mere propaganda. Remember the 'Yar Adua will soon resume duty' era of news reporting? Same Daily Trust. |
Australia!!! 2 red cards in as many games. Two high profile players. Football isnt fair. |
I can't believe what my eyes are seeing and what my brain is interpreting. So some Nigerians actually think that the Niger Delta deserves the degradation of their environment. The international media is trying to draw attention to what is happening in the region and some so called Nigerians are here telling everyone to blame the Niger Delta people for the pollution. I am very dissappointed in oyb and kobojunkie. |
Fuel-less or Less Fuel. A generator that uses Less fuel. The said generator uses a dry cell battery for 24 hour operations. Is a battery not a fuel source? |
I heard it from a reliable source that Nduka paid Sean "Puffy" Combs (P. Diddy) a million dollars to attend Thisday musicfest some years ago. The 500K to George may be true. |
@Poster, Are you an alien? Is there any Nigerian that doesnt know that every staff of the Bureau of statistics is a ghost worker? |
Beaf:The parts in red looks contradictory to me. |
Aondokaa has faced enough disgrace. Madam rebranding, please forgive. |
Ndu_chucks is certainly enlightened; so is edoyad. Edoyad points out a statement he disagrees with; Ndu_chuck concedes (or seem to) at first but later puts on his argumentative and defensive coat when a certain aboki comes into the picture. Somewhere in the verbal bouts, ndu_chucks advises against attack on personalities only to turn around and call Beaf and sapeleguy thugs. @Ndu_chucks, I've been following your posts on Nairaland and I have reasons to believe that you are an inconsistent fellow who speak from both sides of your mouth. You are pro-Northern domination but pretend to be pro-democratic one Nigeria. I must concede however that you are a great Nairalander. keep bias aside. BE A DETRIBALISED NIGERIAN. |
Nice Piece from one of Lamidi's biggest fans. I thought I was the only one that noticed the showy ways of "James Ibrahimovic". @Jarus, Don't go into a personal or personality debate with Tudor. Keep doing what you enjoy doing. |
Nairaland's best thread!!! 9ja!! una no go kill person! |
Why weep and lament when you can think and create. Kudos to the creative minds in 9ja! |
In developed climes, comparison can only be made between likes, awards are only given after detailed analysis of the reason for the award have been carried out. Honorees are so acknowledged due to evident achievements not short sighted and one sided sentiments. Having said that, I opine that we can't regard any governor as best without going round the 36 states to see for ourselves not just the infrastructural developments, but also the human capital developments as well as value orientation and level of satisfaction of the governed. I reside in Lagos and I must confess that Fashola is doing a great job but that does not stand me in good stead to make pronouncemenst on other governors. Some people may argue that the Nigerian press give us ample evidence that makes him the best. I have a problem with this as I dont believe every Nigerian newspaper has a correspondent in every state of the federation. Everything and everyone is in Lagos therefore whatever happens in Lagos is heard by the rest of the world. Fashola is doing well. |
Who is Babapuba? |
Freedom of speech is a fundamental human right. The Obi is human. |
"Ask not for what your country can do for you but for what you can do for your country" J. F. Kennedy |
I really dont think any right thinking man should be afraid of another (wo)man. Yes, some men are jealous, and not afraid, of successful women. Such men see women as people who should be subdued and confined to the kitchen and bedroom. |
chosen04:I've got some doubts about this statement. |
Na new thing? Non-permanent seats are reserved for smaller nations. 9ja fit tell Obama make im no attack Iran? |
Nigerians and arguments!!!! May God help us. How can we chase corruption out of our land when all we ever do is argue while corruption uses the opportunity to steal our crops. |
marvix:Yes, he admitted he came in through a flawed process but he has not done anything to prevent future flaws. Instead the PDP (which he leads) rigged their way through in Ekiti. Yar'Adua is not only insincere, he lacks focus. He lacks ideas and he surrounds himself with Certified Confused Men. |
So Aba is still like this. The last time I visited Aba was during the tenure of OUK. Heaps of refuse were the city monuments, Touts were the tourist guides and stench was the fragrance in the air. I thot things would hv changed. |
An opportunity for a Katsina/ Kano man (or another northerner) to head the NIA. Yar' Adua, pleeeeaase prove me wrong. I beg u in d Lord's name. Hey ThinkRait! Dont invite the NL tribalists to this thread! ![]() |
I have always looked out for this type of intellectually stimulating threads devoid of tribalism and lamentations. America has no permanent friends. All they have is permanent interest. The west are beginning to take West Africa seriously giving the growing influence of the next super-power - China in Africa. However Nigeria's gullibility in swallowing China's trap hook, line and sinker would only lead to temporary development. China is only concerned with becoming a super-power and a strong opposition to western dominance. Africa should look inwards. Leaders (dictators) like Libya have shown that the West can be snubbed. What Nigeria's leaders and diplomats should do at this point, is maximise the benefits accruing from the struggle for the nations resources without giving a monopoly or advantage to any of the competing nations (China, Europe, Russia and the US). |
bawomolo: ![]() I'm giving you a Nigerian definition |
A bill seeking to jail medical practitioners who let victims of gunshot wounds die for lack of a police report has passed the second reading in the senate.

The post did not say the bill has been passed. It has only passed second reading. @Poster Pls stop using misleading Headings. |
Some parts of Nigeria are better than some parts of the US. Everything we say is relative. Can u tell Tinubu, Ibori, Odili and the likes that Nigeria is the worst place to live. Infact the best place to live is the place where you can make and enjoy your money while oppressing those you think should be oppressed. |
Pls Seun, do something about the becomrich phenomenom. I am tired of seeing maps that lead to nowhere |
yeancah007:The politicians and businessmen, not the emirs/ sultan control everything in Nigeria. Rilwanu Lukman and Edmund Dakoru controls the oil and gas sector. |
Only the PRESIDENT can remove the Sultan, remember Abacha-DASUKI ? Or OBJ-the current one? No be Sadauna we de talk about o!
