The problem z that in this part of the world, Africa to be precise, especially among our uneducated or semi~educated parents, they don't really understand adolescent behaviour.
During adolescent period, bc of many changes and challenges that do go on in our bodies, it makes us to react negatively.
Most adolescent will likely feel depressed because of the changes brought about by puberty to their bodies.
Some will get depressed bc of their family background.
Some will get depressed because of poor body image.
Some will get depressed due to being a victim of domestic violence and abuse.
Some due to low self esteem.
Some due to Sexual assault/abuse.
Some due to loss of a loved one.
Some due to being lovesick.
Some due to drug abuse.
Some due ailments.
Some due to poor academic performance and falling short of standard expected of u by ur parents .
And some of our parents lacked the intuition to decipher when there is a mood change in their adolescent.
And instead of talking to them to know what z going on in their body, they will rather resort to verbal abuse.
Most adolescents including me hv contemplated suicide in their life, and many hv been able to overcome it through determination ,self encouragement and by studying the Bible.
Itz quite unfortunate that most of our parents do think that their primary responsibility in child upbringing z to give the child food ,clothing and pay his/her school fees.
But it goes beyond that, adolescents needs emotional support but Some of our parents out there lacked the mental prowess for psycho analysis and counselling.
But thank God, I overcame the adolescent challenges.

My Country seems to be Confused, most of these corps supposed to be merged together.
And what the government would have done z to send People to the various advanced countries like China, Japan, US, UK etc to acquire technological skills and transfer it to our various local industries for revitalisation.
Sign Memorandum of Understanding with ur foreign missions for technology transfer.
With that measure, we can become the technological hub of Africa .

Or going to spend a huge sum of ur money to rent flats in high profile environment just to show off while u re dying inside.
Learn to live within ur limits.

The truth z that some people re naturally extravagant or have high test, while some re extravagant or hv high test as a result of the way they were brought up or their background (high social status ].
Sorry to say, This type of scenario arises when in the course of dating a girl u discovered that she z extravagant or hv high test, but bc of ur likeness for the particular girl, u choose to ignore the red flags and continue to woo her with expensive gifts, hoping that after winning her u will abscond and tame her to abide by ur stds or lifestyles.
But, unfortunately the trait of having high test or being extravagant is an innate one, and z always difficult to change personality.
My advice to u z this, sit her down and discuss realities with her, tell her ur financial status, tell her ur future plans for the family, tell her that u understand her love for quality products but at times u hv to compromise and go for the modest ones, so that u can make savings for bigger projects and the rainy day.
Tell her there z a difference between Need and Want.
And if she still don't change, call the attention of a female associate or friend that she holds of high esteem to talk sense into her.
She will definitely change, but as Baba will say "Change z a Gradual process "
Don't argue much with her, use wisdom, patience and perseverance and whenever you make decisions against her will, try to Seduce[ confuse, trick, manipulate ] her with gifts that will make her to forget easily, u know those little stuffs that women do get obsessed with,learn to smile, tease her till she laughs and forgets about ur manipulations, That z why u re d man, u re more of a logical being, and with time she will start respecting ur decision and u will become a full Alpha male, this doesn't mean that u will not involve her in decision making, but that u will be in control .
