Emirates Airline has said it is cutting flight operations to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja effective October 22nd as part of its restructuring and loss saving effort. Emirates has formally written the Minister of State, Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika over its intention to stop flight operations into Abuja following the airline's inability to buy forex and remit its sales.. The airline said it will also suspend Lagos operations indefinitely if things don't change. Confirming the report, Premium Times said that the President of the airline Tim Clark announced that it could reduce the frequency of its flights to African cities or cut routes completely if current economic and financial challenges continued. "In certain African countries, the currencies have really gone down, so we 're reflecting on a matter of these to look at where it's just not worth us to travel," Clark said at an International Transport Association event held in Dubai on Tuesday. "Emirates has huge money in naira at the banks. It cannot repatriate its sales because it cannot buy dollars. This is having negative effect on their operations," the source said.

Put a man through a few tests before you decide to let your guard down and let him in completely. It needs to be added at this juncture that these tests need to be subtly carried out; more like mentally ticking off what is right and what is not. Of course, failing some of these tests should not totally rule him out as he might just be a really good guy with just some few rough edges. So, let's check out what the biggest six tests are: The flirt test[\b] This one is quite important, by the way. You should be wary of a man whose flirtations with other women border on absurd and plain thirsty. [Thirsty is a modern/urban term which means “a form of lust or want of members of the opposite sex,” according to Urban Dictionary online] [b]The folks test Better to meet his parents as reasonably early as possible. Instead of waiting till you’ve become overly enchanted and connected with each other before making that [dreaded] meeting. What if she doesn’t like you? You know, something about all those mother-in-law stories you’ve heard over the years. The friend test Of course you want to put a man through this test because you want to be sure he has friends, or if he’s just a loner. If he dies have friends, you want to know what kind if people they are, what they do, what they find funny. And lastly, because by meeting his friends, you can tell a lot about a guy that he might not even realize about himself. [That ‘female intuition’ thing is not totally a myth, you know] The home inspection Simply because you must be aware of how a man lives. Plus you really do not know a man until you see how he lives. The kid test Better be quick to ask if he has kids hidden somewhere. [Especially if he is yorub… never mind.] Remember that super-star Nigerian singer who found out one year into her marriage that her savage husband did not disclose the actual number of kids he has? Better be inquisitive than sorry, ladies. The French test French here means French kissing. Since this is such a big deal breaker for more than few women, it might be better to get this test out of the way before serious feelings get involved and you find out he can’t even kiss. [Gosh!!] The bed test Assuming he passes the test above I have heard few friends express fear of ending up with a man who has a very low libido or one who’s terrible in bed. Well, if you harbor such fears, how about a test-ride, if that’s what suits you? I mean, you get to decide for yourself if you want to be sure of what you are getting into, or wait till you get into it first before unboxing the package. As always, the final decision is yours. Let us know which special tests you put a guy through before he gets to have you as his bae.

Colossians 3:12 - "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Gentleness and humility is something that the Bible encourages all Children of God to possess and work towards. While most people view these qualities as bad things, God wants us to embody these in spite of what people might say. Here are 10 Bible verses that tell us why we should be gentle and humble and what we gain from possessing them. 1. Zephaniah 2:3; "Seek the LORD, All you humble of the earth Who have carried out His ordinances; Seek righteousness, seek humility Perhaps you will be hidden In the day of the LORD'S anger." 2. Matthew 11:29; "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS." 3. Matthew 5:5; "Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth." 4. Isaiah 66:2; "For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being," declares the LORD "But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word." 5. Philippians 2:3; "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves." 6. Romans 12:16; "Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited." 7. James 4:10; "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." 8. James 3:13; "Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom." 9. 2 Chronicles 7:14; "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 10. Micah 6:8; "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

Well, we are not surprised! Don Jazzy is definitely one of the most sought after bachelors in the industry. Pulse readers have chosen Nigeria's most eligible bachelor and it's Mavin boss, Don Jazzy! Yesterday, October 5, 2016, we asked readers to vote for Nigeria's most eligible bachelor. They were given the option of Banky W, D'banj and Wande Coal. Wande Coal came in last with 6.5%. Surprisingly Koko master, D'banj had just 15.2% of the votes. Probably because news of his getting married hit the web few months ago. Banky W came in second with 33.7% and Don Jazzy came out victorious with a total of 44.6%. Well, we are not surprised! Don Jazzy is definitely one of the most sought after bachelors in the industry. He owns a record label, has got that awesome shiny head, has a couple of endorsements and is one hell of a money bag!

Good riddance to bad rubbish, you often say. Sometimes, though, getting rid of certain people might just be your loss. You do not know the value of what you have until you lose it is a term often used to warn against rashly discarding things and regretting such decisions afterwards. For some reasons, we all make certain wrong decisions that often come back to haunt us badly. It's in our nature as humans and it's just fine to make wrong moves and learn from them. However, some mistakes are costlier than others, and letting go of certain special people might just be the number one on the list of such costly errors. Of course, no one is perfect, but if a man does a good number of the things listed below this line, not only would it be a terrible mistake, you'd be absolutely crazy to let them go. You’ve never had to question the way he feels about you You’ve never been left wondering where you stand in his life, as he constantly reminds you that you mean the world to him- in words and deeds. If he's the one that you want to come back home to after a long terrbile day, stay with him He’s the person you want to talk to after a rough day No matter how good or bad it was, no matter how terribly you messed up, there’s no one you would rather share it with than him, because he’s tolerant of you, listens to you, actually understands and at the end of the discussion, you just better about everything. If he's the one that you want to come back home to after a long terrbile day, stay with him (AfricanSweetheart) Life is simply just better with him in it Your life was remarkably beautiful before you met him, but since he came in, he has managed to make it more beautiful than you ever thought possible. Please, don’t leave him. There’s a chance that you’ll regret it terribly if you do. No complications There’s no complication - no shady conversations with an ex who keeps popping up on his phone. No colleague at work who’s too close for comfort, nothing. It’s just you and he makes that abundantly clear in words and actions. He’s talked about future plans with you If he makes it clear to you that it’s you he wants to spend his future with, and he speaks of that future with you, then really, that guy is a keeper. Not much really matters aside this TBH. You never get tired of each other If you gel with him so beautifully that time is never enough when you both are together, then, don’t leave him. Your conversations are never boring, being with him is always sweet, limitless fun and it pains you every time you have to leave him for only a few hours or few days, then why would want to leave him for good? He always makes you smile You catch yourself thinking about him, or you are just looking at him speak or goof around, and all you can do is smile… babe, what else do you need to stick with such man that makes you that happy? He makes you feel beautiful If he looks at you the way I look at dodo [by the way, I look at dodo with so much adoration in my eyes, all the time], then you should totally hang in there. On a more serious note, any man who reminds you of how beautiful you are, and how awestruck he is every time he looks at you, with or without your clothes on, he’s someone you really want to be with for a long, long time. He meets you halfway Many ladies have complained about being the ones doing most of the loving and rarely do the guys meet them halfway. Thus, when you meet a man who is an exception to the rule, who really ensures that the relationship is not one-sided, then you shouldn’t be thinking of dumping him, especially if he does many of the other things listed in this article. He gives you the best sex of your life If on top of all these things, you still manage to get the best sex of your life from him, and on a regular basis [as many times as is comfortable and interesting for you], then why would you even think of leaving him? Aunty, why ![]() If he's giving you bomb sex, you should stay there and keep getting it from him You're immensely lucky if you have a man who does a lot of these things, and as you read through them you smile because the hints are all there. You've found yourself a keeper, and you should hold on to them.

Davido apparently refers to his baby mama as big head and the lass has no issue with it. Talk about romantically challenged pet names for ex couples! Anyway the twenty three year old singer did not shy away from confirming this during a recent interview he had with Thenetng. He talked about their weird pet name and how co parenting has been working out for them now that they had officially broken up with zero hopes of getting back getting back together. He also said that he has been referring to the baby mama, Sophia Momodu, as big head for years now. However many tend to think that the name came about after their bitter split that went down on social media. Davido said that the two are in good terms as coparenting knows no bad blood. He added that it has been difficult seeing his daughter on a daily basis as she resides with her mum back in Lagos while he takes lots of trips out of the contry due to his music career. As for now, he has confirmed that he is seeing someone and so is the baby mama

Hurricane Matthew has killed at least 39 people, the death toll in struggling Haiti alone rising to 35, local officials said, as the storm headed northward on Thursday battering the Bahamas en route to Florida. Haiti´s civil protection service put the toll in the impoverished Caribbean nation at 23 dead, many killed by falling trees, flying debris and swollen rivers. The interior ministry and a local mayor confirmed 12 other deaths to Reuters across Haiti. Four people were killed earlier in neighboring Dominican Republic. Matthew is the strongest hurricane in the Caribbean since Felix struck in 2007. On Tuesday and Wednesday it whipped Cuba and Haiti with 140 mile-per-hour winds and torrential rain, pummeling towns and destroying livestock, crops and homes. The devastation in Haiti prompted authorities to postpone a presidential election originally planned for Sunday.

The European football governing body UEFA has proposed several changes that if approved will drastically affect football leagues and clubs across the continent. Following an extensive consultative process involving all European football stakeholders, UEFA proposed amendments which have been approved by the UEFA Executive Committee, upon recommendations of the UEFA Club Competitions Committee and the European Club Association Board. Below is the list of the new reforms: 1. The UEFA Europa League winners will automatically qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage (currently they can potentially take part in a play-off round). 2. The top four clubs from the four top-ranked national associations will now qualify automatically for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. 3. The full details of the access list for both competitions will be finalised by the end of the year. 4. A new system for the club coefficients: clubs will be judged on their own records (deletion of the country share for individual club coefficient unless that coefficient is lower than 20% of the association's coefficient). 5. Historical success in the competition will also be acknowledged in coefficient calculation (points for previous European titles with a weighted system for UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League titles). 6. Financial distribution to clubs will be increased significantly for both competitions. 7. A new four-pillar financial distribution system (starting fee, performance in the competition, individual club coefficient and market pool) will see sporting performances better rewarded, while market pool share will decrease. However, leagues across the continent are up in arms about the new reforms. They have now threatened that unless Uefa chiefs show willingness to compromise, the European Professional Football Leagues body will ask its members to vote at an October 21 meeting in Zurich whether to tear up their agreement with UEFA.
