Please bosses in the house. I'm presently doing my MSC program in UI and exams is knocking at the door. But the problem I have currently is that, I'm yet to pay for the sch fees which is #141400.

Please, I'm pleading to you guys. In anyway you can be of help to me. Please help me with any little amount you can. Please, please.

God bless you as I anticipate your benevolence.
first degree is a necessity, while second degree is a luxury. You you are supposed to use the profit from the first business to diversify to start up a second business. The way you sound now, you might as well beg to acquire a PhD degree.

If you are doing a business and you are not making anything of it, that is a real concern and reevaluation is needed. You don't just keep pumping more money into a business that is becoming a liability. Yes, school is a business

This long term bond is like a trap. When you want to eat with the devil, it's better to use a long spoon; In this case, the govt is the devil.

1. Why would someone borrow the govt money for an extended years when the govt can always print money to pay you back? Nigerian govt solicited for USD some months ago to pay 5naira for every USD; after they took all the USD, the crooks of a govt decided to print more money and devalued the naira. Just imagine some folks actually fell for that old trick. They gave treasure bill at 7% last year and naira went down 39% against USD the following year.

2.What would be the purchasing power in the next 20years following the trend in the last 6years? What if the economy gets better and naira becomes strong would it make your property value go down?

3. What is the value of a house bought 1m naira 20 years ago and what is the value of the money right now? Let say the money was compounded at 15% and the estate moved at 7% of the house value at every given point.

4. How fast can you flip a real estate vs a fixed bond and What do you risk losing breaking a bond?

5. Something just happened and I need my money now for better opportunities; shut up and comeback in 10yrs.

My take:

Real estate might not give a promising future, but always find a way to win in the face of inflation, deflation and recession. Right now the house market in the U.S has gone up more than 20% since the pandemic, while the mortgage rate has gone down more than 50%.

60 people die in cult war in akwa ibom state as we speak . What does those guys who frequently point out every killing in the United States have to say about this? Is Nigeria really that safe?

Gas explosion every now an then in lagos. The casualties can be well reduced if the EPA move all the gas plants far from people's residents.

Inter states travel within Nigeria is the most scary thing after boko haram in Nigeria. If you don't get caught by the x men, you get caught by the bad roads causing unnecessary accidents.

them still dey enjoy school? Going to school on it own is very stressful. You probably didn't enjoy it because you were living a two way street, home to school and school back home. The best way is to go with flexible options being in the system, then you can really tell whether you like it or not.

I went to school for 3 months at Richmond , Virginia for 3 months, up till now, I don't know what that place looks like. The only thing I can remember is home and school address. If it was a degree program like 2 or more years, I'd probably have had more time to explore and feel the place better.

Some one saves up and travels to Nigeria for holidays , he enjoys himself with his friends and leaves back in two weeks, he goes about telling others that Nigeria is so fun. Meanwhile, someone who lives in Nigeria laments that there is hunger and many village people in the land

It's really terrible the way a lot of folks base their conclusions on heresay. For clarification sake, credit cards are open to every US citizens and documented residents. you start with a secured card, then after sometime you like 3- 6months are then given an unsecured card. These cards are not death sentences as being pictured by Nigerians who have never been out of their living rooms before. The way credit cards really works is that you are given points anytime you use em and those point have money values given back to you and you don't pay any interest if you are able to pay back the money used within the payment due period which is usually a month or two. If you have excellent credit score you interest is usually very low like 5-6 APR unlike Nigeria with double degits MPR.

The idea that everyone goes abroad to wash dishes in a restaurant or drive cab is obsolete. No one goes to the US with a college degree to do that if he/she is properly documented. You get employed based on your qualifications. Meanwhile, in some states in Nigeria, you can't even get a state job if you're not from there or married to someone from that state or local government jobs if you are not from the he local government no matter you qualifications.

The beauty of life is to get what you can't afford, with that no one can oppress you because you can also get it. Easy Car note and mortgages have made it possible for people to improve their quality of life. if you live in debt your entire life and enjoyed the lifetime is way better than being debt free and suffered your entire life or you manage to enjoy only the last 5-10years of your life like most Nigerians.

Traveling out of nigeria is very expensive you can travel direct flight from New York to London on a return ticket for $400-500 meanwhile a direct return flight from New York to lagos is over $1k and both are approximately the same distance.

This argument is over flogged here, let people who have lived in both countries tell the difference and tell which is better. You can't like or hate what you have never tasted before. Before you compare try living in both countries, otherwise just sit and watch

Dora played the smartest game based on inside the house stats.
In her head laycon and triky will be evicted because she knew trikky has been lucky, not necessarily strong and laycon has not be tested.

If she and ozo survives, it will be her versus the two couples in the house. Ozo and nengi will share their votes while neo and vee will also share their votes, leaving her with a lone vote to will the day.

Smart move but big disaster

Being rich in Nigeria is really exhausting. You cannot go everywhere and anywhere without due protocol and tight security . I was in a church service at Houston, Texas, last Dec 31st night. in attendance was the Oyo state governor and his wife, without any entourage in the middle of the night. I bet he can't do that anywhere in Nigeria. It very important to focus on the quality of of life also when choosing a residential location.

I have some family in New York and i always tell them that place is not good for me. A place where a multi millionaire will be living in a one bed room condo, meanwhile somewhere in Atlanta or houston a bartender is living in a 4 bedroom 3000sqf house.

Even if the garri seller is saying 'madam, dollar don go up', is the woman selling the garri in dollar or is her rate of increase equivalent to the rate the dollar went up?. The garri seller saying it is just saying it as a joke. The real reason garri price went up was because of the inter-state lockdown. Most of the sellers refused to go and bring in because of the high cost of transportation due to the several points on the road they have to settle security agents enforcing the inter-state ban.
i believe you should have known better than the garri seller. How would you say she is no selling in Dollar and she's not affected?

Do you know when money loses it purchasing power, it affects ever sector, even the locally made commodities, especially in a country like Nigeria that's mostly dependant on import?
The garri seller would also need to increase her prices in order for her money to be useful when she is going round the circle of exchange.

Someone said the landlord wouldn't increase house rent alongside the dollar increment, yet House rent has doubled from 2014 till date. Even though rent increment isn't done as often, but it always has a way to blend with inflation.
Oga landlord still dey use dollar.

dollar is not our currency for exchange of service ..americans dont use naira either......
when a country is dependent on import, dollar becomes her currency by default.

My sister bought audi 80 at 350k naira about 10years ago, today that car is being priced at 500k naira. Does it mean the value of the car went up? Absolutely no, it's the value of naira that went down.

Truth be told sir, dollar is Nigeria's first currency, while naira is her second currency. From airline booking, vacation, electronic, furniture and other household goods, transportation, clothing, food items are all controlled by dollar. The other day, a lady was telling a market woman selling garri that the price was too high, the market woman responded that " madam dollar don go up.

If you kept dollar at one dollar to naira @180 in 2014 without single investment and sell at 455 naira today you would have made 152.7 percent increase. 455-180/180*100.

True, America don't use naira, even benin Republic next door don't use it either.

marriage is just a paperwork, You can be married and be unhappy in it. I have a friend who dated for about 18 years before getting married, in between they had 3 kids together .

Marriage was instituted in the bible days because women couldn't consent, the were not counted, they were regarded as properties hence, their fathers had to consent for them.

now everything has changed, women can now speak for themselves. They have same right as men. Your parents don't need to consent for you anymore. If you like a guy you can now move in with him without outside interference.

If you like the guy, you don't have to marry him to live with him and also create a personal space for one another. The guy in question is not bad because he doesn't want marriage, he sounds more like someone who knows what he wants and not being moved by the bandwagons.

A lots of people are married today, not because they know why they are married but because others are doing it. That's why you see people unhappy even from the alter.

You should be happy that you have a modern and civilized man, who isn't sniffing and bossing you around, seeing you as part of his possessions, he sees another stong woman.

If na marriage dey hungry you so bad, leave him and meet someone else who buys same idea, regardless of his personal attributes but if you'd like to stay happy like you're now, be with him and have a family with, maybe somewhere along the line you two will have a reason to marry, even for free, at your children expense.

Choose what you want and not the society choosing for you.

in the city of Las Vegas, an average casino custodian (cleaner) makes about $40k in a year. If he decides to live on a 20k a year budget, he should be able to buy a brand new car in a year.

Those calculating the bills on 20k a year salary should note that low income earner in the U.S can live in the project, homes are given to them for free, they just have to pay the electric bill. They have different home insensitives for low income earners and old people as well.

Verdict :U.S cleaners make more money than nigerian professors and doctors combine

Note: American system is designed for minimum wage earners to be students from high school making extra cash for school runs. often times, some lazy folks just become complacent, settle for less, flipping buggers and start protesting for increments on minimum wages on gray hair, forgetting the definition and purpose of minimum wages.

sir, homelessness in the U.S is a thing of choice. There is one homeless guy
i was talking to, he said he can't get a job because he's a junky and can pass a drug test for job applications. There are lots of folks who became homeless in the U.S because they don't want anyone, including uncle sam to tell them what to do, hence freedom and homelessness. Those homeless folks are on foodstamps, they will sell money value for less just to buy drugs and, cigarettes and liquors as they can only use the food stamps to buy essential food

Homelessness in the U.S is drug related. Hardly before you see someone who's homeless in the U.S that is not a junky. even some millionaires like Macaulay Culkin (home alone star actor) is homeless. It's more like a mental condition vs lack of homes. Some teen runs out of their parent's home because they can have their parents telling em what to do and homelessness creeps into them.

True you said why compare apple and orange. Nigeria should know her place and stop deceiving her citizens, calling herself the giant of the black race. Nigeria is just an average Joe in my opinion.

You know it, that's why you have been looking for a way to send you wife and kids away to save their future. Your younger brother is out of the this shithole, probably never coming again except for political appointments or to intimidate others with his filty lucre.
Stop misleading others sir, Practice what you preach.

Sometimes I wonder if it is the same Nigeria I know you guys are talking about. You know the longest I've ever waited to be served in a bank here in Canada? 5 minutes or less. You know how many times I've lined up to withdraw money from an ATM? ZERO. Yes you read that right. Zero times that I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one that uses ATMs. I could from the comfort of my bedroom take a photo of a cheque and have the funds deposited in my bank account, within seconds, without leaving my house. Abeg stop all these unnecessary hype about Nigeria. Fear God na
you can also use the drive through ATM without stepping out of your car, you can as well deposit using the drive through.
You can deposit and withdraw your cheques with mobile apps, you don't get charged for sms or stamp duty when you deposit or withdraw, the bank officials don't ask for tips when you withdraw, you don't go through the back door to get special treatment because you're rich. My bank pays back all charges using other banks atm. Banks give you credit card protection incase you are being hacked or someone who's not you had used you card, you get all your money back.
So far i think Nigeria has the most backward Banks i have ever seen and they are all thieves.

I know usa banks takes about 24hrs for transfer to get through, That gives you enough time to put hold on the transfer and make necessary adjustments. If it's that urgent, you should have done it yesterday. beside, banks provide app like zelle and you can use cashapp for instant money transfer, they have no charges.

If you're doing well in Nigeria, don't give Nigeria any credit. You're just at the mercy of God. If you doubt me, quit your job and see if you will ever get another one. Lol!

Some will say I'm very negative about Nigeria,
yes i am. Imagine my older sister who's a lecturer in nigeria is making less than a street begger in the U.S.
