kind of tough question. it depends on the kind of family the individual comes from, because no educated family with advanced knowledge would want their daughter to marry an old man. and i can't picture any of my family members talk less of my mum doing such thing. but if such arises, nothing anyone says, not even my mum would make me go against my decision. i would not call it disrespecting her at that moment, because she herself is wrong.
