I think you only have to look at what exists to see! I don't for one minute believe that we are going to find a load of long lost Igbo palaces and temples or anywhere near the amount of artifacts that have been found in Egypt.

Look at the amount of treasures and the wealth of monuments that survive in Egypt!

Mention a few wooden masks! It is nothing in comparison to ancient Egyptian artifacts. If you have never traveled around Egypt and seen the valley of the kings, Karnak temple and the other great sites you can not begin to understand.

I am not saying that there are no Igbo treasures of any worth, just that they pale into insignificance when compared to that of Ancient Egypt!
