If by choice, no problem. But in a country where we have abysmal doctor/patients ratio and virtually no general practice in most communities, how can a minister of health and a medical prof be so clueless. He's a disgrace to healthcare, himself, academia and Buhari's government.

This man could have gone about introducing a massive General practice/family medicine system that will mop up unemployed or under-employed young medical graduates. A 2-year general practice residency program rolled out nationwide with state governments. That way district hospitals & teaching hospitals will be freed up to handle more serious cases and those referred from general practitioners. And we also need mental health practitioners in large numbers right now.

You wonder what difference health ministers have made over the last 20 years. No new or innovative ideas to fix the health sector.

They are just there to collect their allocations and please their ogas.I think it was Prof.Olikoye Ransome-Kuti who last tried to make innovations in the health sector.

*** 1 cor 11: 7b ...for the woman is the glory of man.

I'll reiterate what I've always said on this forum, sex takes place in the inside of a woman. That's why when a married woman commits adultery she is defiled spiritually and physically. And the nature of man doesn't permit him to ever regard the woman in the same way again.

Forgiveness in this regard doesn't mean taking her back as your wife.

In this case was it the doctor's fault?How can an educated person keep his wife that just suffered a stillbirth at his family house especially when she complained of pain and worsening condition?
He took her to the hospital when there was little or nothing they could do.What do you want the doctors to do than do whatever they can and ask him to pray?Of course they knew she was going to die and it was a subtle way of telling him.

It won't change the fact that most doctors are unnecessarily rude, disrespectful, proud, and unkind. They let their setbacks turn them into sadists. I haven't met a cheerful doctor.
