· Research, monitor market trends, competitors’ activities and consumer preferences
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENT
· First Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
· At least 3 years of Technical Lube Sales Experience with proven capacity.
· Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales target in the industry.
· Excellent Negotiation Skills.
· Excellent Relationship Management & Networking Skills.

Managing a Difficult Boss !

I will be writing a second part on Managing your Team Member, Colleague or Direct Report

If I take a poll , to ask how many people have experienced a difficult Boss , I can bet we will have a high number who will affirm that they have at some point or currently experiencing a difficult Boss

The Workplace is filled with different people, with various backgrounds, exposure, experience and competencies . The ability to manage these people will determine how you will survive, thrive in your Career and Workplace

The truth is managing a difficult Boss will either help you grow, or stunt your growth and development, it's all about perspectives, understanding who you are dealing with and most importantly EQ

To be honest, some people can be so difficult, you should stop working with them once you get another opportunity, again , it should be on your own terms , don't give a mean Boss, an opportunity to control your life

One of the most difficult Bosses I have experienced in the course of my Career, told me once , that He knows he is difficult , and only wants to work with people who can manage him and I did that gracefully most times

I am listing our suggestions collated through my experience on how to manage a difficult Boss , the list is not exhaustive

1. Understand your Bosses personality , it is key , I've had various personality types as Bosses and i deal with them from that perspective

2. Never underestimate the power of middle Man , maybe your Bosses Boss , Mentor or someone they respect , find out someone they can listen to . If they don't have , I may not be able to help you in that regard(smiley

3.Always document , it would save you a lot , at first it may not seem useful but try it and see how it changes a lot positively

4. Write a grievance email or a note to your Boss, send it to yourself , read that mail when you are no longer angry with the Boss, and decide whether you should send it or delete

5.You can never win a battle with your Boss , know this and know peace , you may not agree or even like them , but do your work well , your work will speak for you

6. A smart Boss looks for people that can help them achieve a goal , so unless you are dealing with a nitwit , I will presume that if you are a strong Team Member, your Boss will most likely want you on the Team

7. Be kind to your Boss , some are battling issues just like every Human Being , some of the things they do are transferred aggression, other things are just a result of the same Work environment they are a victim of

In conclusion,a Boss today was a Direct Report of yesterday, and you will also be a Boss tomorrow, so treat your Boss, the way you would like to be treated when you become a Boss

When you realize that sheer victimization of employees is something real in certain organisations, you would begin to appreciate why under extant international best practice in labour and employment law, an employer may no longer "hire and fire" for no reason(s) or for invalid or insufficient reason(s).

As it stands, an employer is expected not just to give reason(s) but to provide valid reason(s) for termination which may include:

1. proven lack of capacity to perform assigned tasks (incompetence).

2. actual (not fictitious) redundancy (or other operational or business exigencies).

3. misconduct.

Accordingly, termination of employment for "services no longer needed/required" as used to be the norm would have no legs to stand or knees to crawl under the new regime of labour and employment jurisprudence.

If, as an employer, you feel that your employment has been wrongfully or unlawfully terminated, please endeavour to procure good legal advice or counselling on options open to you.

And conversely, employers also have a right to proceed against employees in deserving cases because justice is for everyone.

All in all, we all should realize that the emerging trend in labour and employment law is rapidly closing the yawning inequities of the past between an employer and employee flowing from the Common Law rule of master-servant relationship.

Speak up and resist unfair and unwholesome labour and employment practices to the best of your ability.

Employees are no longer mere factor of production: they deserve to be heard, and to be treated fairly in all possible circumstances.

3. Loss of livelihood

5. All the ecological funds has all been looted.

It's extremely difficult for many. The woman who is sells "Agbo" in my neighborhood complained that previously she makes daily sales of 6k daily but now it's 1k5 or 1k. Things are super difficult and we should prepare for hard times because food scarcity is looming.

Fuel scarcity is looming in Abuja, getting food from the North down the South is a huge task because of the flooding in Kogi, invariably scarcity would lead to hoarding and price would increase.

CBN increased interested rate to 15% (view it as a hose/pipe in a bucket of water being money- if you reduce the water (money) in the bucket by sucking up water through the hose/pipe) and they are mopping up over =N=8trillion of currency from the circulation through the commercial bank, obviously there would be a cash crunch couple with the fact that the FGN is broke. I was at the bank 3 weeks ago and wanted to withdraw over a little above half a million, they only gave me less than a quarter of a million.

In this tough economy, you MUST have a side hustle even my landlord has started selling cooked food business despite the fact that he had a full time job.

Yes,I have experienced heartbreaks.

When? Presently, I am healing from a heartbreak. This is a situation that had me going to the Doctor's on Friday because my of my heart rate.

A guy I loved genuinely didn't only go cold turkey on me, he called me names FOR NO REASON. This is same person that begged and begged him to give him a chance. My mental health nose dived.

It is imperative to know that we ought to take care of ourselves. Pain is worse when you feel you have brought it on yourself.
