LadySarah: Whether or not you give her she will outgrow them before 3 mths, Its called Colic and common in children. It is gas swallowed during breastfeeding .
How to help. 1.After every feed gently massage the back from down to up to let the gas escape.
2.lie her down facing you and gently move her legs as if she is riding a bicycle. She would fart 3.Dont make a habit of giving "suggested" drugs to your infant. All she needs now is warmth, food and enough rest. If you are concerned pls take her to the hospital.
Congrats dear My baby had it for 6 good months. She is 7 months and 2 weeks already and it still disturbs her small small at night. My sister, I won't wish this gas on my enemy talk more of my friend. E really showed us pepper |

I said that someone is pretending! Well, I am not wrong. You are the pretender. My honest advice? Stop pretending to be who you are not. If she loves you, she will stick with you no matter what. Jealous you said? Lol. Oga, I've got no time to be jealous of someone I don't even know. Well, good luck. |

Family › Re: HELP! My Brother Is Too Dull by TiffanyJ(f): 7:51am On May 30, 2020 |
Gundel001: Hi good day my fellow Nairalander please I will really need your experience about this issue. Please help me read to the end as it is a little bit long.
My junior brother is 14 years old and to be sincere I haven’t seen anybody as dull as him. I don’t know if it is natural but I just can’t understand why someone at that age could still be struggling with very simple arithmetic. My brother can’t write 1 – 150 correctly at 14.
He seems too dull; note he attends one of the best private school around our area, though I know you might say maybe education is not his way but even if you want to drop out from school you should know some basic things like money, time, multiplication and so on but my brother doesn’t know anything I must say, even to write his name correctly is a problem. It is making everyone unhappy lot of money is being spent on lesson teachers and other things for him still no improvement.
I am a student of one of the top federal University in Nigeria same as my other siblings even at both secondary and undergraduate level we were always above average so I can’t say his problem is genetic. I really wants to know what is the problem with him nairalanders. After I finished secondary school I once taught some pupils in primary school though there were dull ones too there but with time I could see improvement unlike my brother i always try to teach him from time to time but it kind of frustrating as he doesn’t even seems like he will ever grab anything and he doesn’t behave like he wants to learn anything.
He makes it seems as if he is not interested book or arithmetic at all …we all tried talking to him endless time to always read any time he his less busy but he never does except he is being forced.
He rarely talks, he loves to keep to himself always, he doesn’t have interest in anything unlike we the others that are die hard football fans, most times my mom will tell him to even go out to play and mingle he will not still want to go, he prefer to stay at home seating all day without reading or doing anything, even if it is to draw or play football he wont.
This matter is not making everyone happy at home we don’t even know the solution to his problem again, as in imagine having a child that is 14 years old that doesn’t know the difference between 17 and 71 it is just so bad…..
We don’t know if his case is mental or spiritual. please nairalanders I know there are child experts in the house or anybody who have experienced something like this before what do you think is the problem and possible solutions to the problem your contributions are welcome.
Please help me push this pleaseeeeee Op, there's nothing like a dull child. Have you seen an Indian movie named 'Like stars on earth'? Please get it and let your whole family see it together. It tells a story of a boy that has almost the same issue with your brother. That film will change how you see your brother and will help you get a solution |

Toyin92: Good morning Sabi mamas
My 6 week old started crying at the breast. She will start by whining, turning her head, pulling the nipple, crying and then quickly taking back the nipple. She is EBF and has not pood for 3 days...She has also been farting loudly, smelly farts.Could it be the reason why she is like that?
Has anybody experienced this please? When my baby was 6 weeks, she sometimes go a week without pooing. The doctors said it's normal in babies though she farts a lot. The farts were always loud and smelly. As for crying when sucking, does she stretch her legs? She may be having gas issues. Just google gas in infants for more information but if you can, take her to a hospital. |

Abeg leave that child alone, madam. She will walk at her own time, don't just try to force her. Children are not same and so you shouldn't expect her to do what another child is doing or what another child did. Don't forget, some children get to their milestone early and others are late. Please be guided and don't worry yourself unnecessarily. My baby is six months old without a single tooth but I saw another baby of less than 6months with two teeth.

Beedude: Thanks for breaking it down for them. We just love to decieve ourselves in this country. Lagos should follow so it can share reasonable palliatives to every house in Lag and extend the lockdown. The resources of the state should be shared among citizens at this period. A civil servant getting 50k without going to work should appreciate. So many private workers are at home with no salary. And to even think it was revenue generated from private coy and other informal sectors that will be used to pay civil servant makes it a good idea. Without private sector and informal workers, the govt of a state cant employ much. We all need one another to survive this war To me this is fair. |

tot: Can I ask you a question, are you one of those impacted? It's easy to say something is fair until you are the one impacted. Why should it be made mandatory for people to contribute anything? I'm a civil servant in Kaduna. I understand that if my money is touched, it's to help the poor. If it doesn't get to the poor, that's between Rufai and his God |
Politics › Re: Kaduna Cuts Public Servants Salary By 25% To Fund Support Packages by TiffanyJ(f): 10:58am On Apr 27, 2020 |
Angelfrost: The term "donation" is merely to make their action look humane and excusable... The man never planned to pay full salaries! Can't say I blame him.
The future of this nation's economy is not looking good at all! The 25% donation will come from senior public servant whose netpay after tax is 67,000. I respected him for making it mandatory for all political appointees to each contribute 500k and then from henceforth, forfeit 50% of their salaries. This is fair |
Politics › Re: Kaduna Cuts Public Servants Salary By 25% To Fund Support Packages by TiffanyJ(f): 10:55am On Apr 27, 2020 |
tot: Best decision?! Wow.
They will be feeding at home. Kids at home would be eating more as well. Prices have also gone up.
And we all know governors have several avenues to pocket money so 25% salary cut has no impact on them. My sister, read the post well before you complain. The man is after political appointees and senior staff. He made it mandatory for all political appointees to contribute #500k each and from henceforth forfeit 50% percent of their salaries. Senior public servant whose net pay after tax is 67,000 must also contribute 25% of their salary. To me, this is fair. No one who collects less than 67000 will be affected. |
Politics › Re: Kaduna Cuts Public Servants Salary By 25% To Fund Support Packages by TiffanyJ(f): 10:36am On Apr 27, 2020 |
Lanre4uonly: I do hope all political office holders would have a salary cut or better still, forfeit their salary for the time being because public servants and the poor masses are always at the receiving end. Political office holders must each contribute #500k then henceforth, forfeit 50% of their monthly salary. The 25% deduction is for senior staff. Anyone whose netpay is up to 67k after tax. To me, it's fair |
Health › Re: KADUNA UPDATE: KDSG Extends Quarantine By 30 Days by TiffanyJ(f): 10:24pm On Apr 26, 2020 |
I support this development. I especially love the fact that El Rufai has made it mandatory for all senior political appointees in the state to each donate #500, 000 to help take care of the less privileged.
Yes, I am in support of the fact that senior staff earning more than 67,000 as net pay after-tax will from henceforth donate 25% of their salaries. According to him, the money will be used to help the less privileged. Even though, I already know that not everyone will get, but at least, some mouths will be fed. I know some people that got foodstuff during this lockdown. At least, he has the insight of making Wednesdays lockdown free day. If the state is not locked down, lives would be lost. I was at the market last Tuesday during the lockdown free time and believe you me I was shocked. People don't even observe social distance at all. May God help us all from hunger and this deadly virus. |
