dyera: How can you come to such conclusion, did my comment not mean that I am worried about the lecturers and professors? Are the students going to be kissing thier professors? Are the professors going to sleeping with the students at their hostels? Many dont even come close to their university lecturers. In as much as we abide by scientific guidelines. It's worthy of note that it's almost unavoidable. It's partly an airborne and contact virus. Countries where the cases are sky rocketing, aren't they moving all spheres of the economy in alternative means. In developed world, where things are working schools are in progress. Even right here in Nigeria, didn't the private universities resume? Dont they have elderly lecturers who are also professors? Why aren't they dying? Students were kept at home for almost a year because of an industrial strike action by the same lecturers that are supposed to be researching in their own way, yet they will say, government isn't providing enough funds. The same lecturers are out again to say, it isn't safe to resume, for God's sake? What is more than using face masks, washing of hands and a little social distancing in classes, break all those huge combine lectures, partially embrace virtual learning, do a staggered reopening and find a way to decongest the hostel and provide alternative accommodation even if it's by partnering with the privates landlords around the university premises. Are these lecturers not supposed to be finding a way to cope with the covid-19 pandemic and ensure, the university system is up and running. Do you have an idea what this has caused to so many students mentally, emotionally just to mention a few, for something that is not their fault. I pray you never experience the same delay that would lead to emotional breakdown, financial frustration, mental strain, delay in achieving lifes goals, depression, use of drugs e.t.c. I'm sorry to say you have no soul, but it seemed appropriate at the point I read through your comments. |

PicLtd: If you overfed ASUU idiots are tired of lecturing, why not get out and let government find replacements, many of you m0rons don't even have PhDs but you sit tight in lecturers' offices enjoying salaries. Private universities have started lectures. Most of you 'ASUUists' enjoy seeing students spend 10 years for a 4 year course, why it gives you orgasm, I don't know.
Many of you are experts at Sex-for-grades, you simply have nothing to offer from your coconut heads except looking for students to harrass and bully. Most of the lecturers involved actively in ASUU activism are those young lecturers who experts at fingering the vaginas of their female students inside their offices. Do your research.
Get out of the system if you are tired of lecturing, heavens won't fall. Other young PhDs are ready to take over. The first paragraph is just something else. Laugh wan kill me. |

Or all courses can be taught online Or Nigerian network service is the best in the world.
Just talk with consideration,no wonder Nigeria is still stagnant,so many people who can't reason intelligently. It's you who should keep quiet. Even a shoe shiner these days have an android phone. The school WiFi could do. So what should happen? That till Covid-19 is over. |

Slynation: This union called ASUU is the most useless one ever, they virtually waiting for government to baby sit and provide almost everything for them meanwhile the extortion on students is unbearable, you can imagine a grown up lecturer at a higher echelon telling the government to provide hand sanitizer for lecturers?? This is something if proper IQ was put in use, they would have simply given this project to the students to play with depending on which department falls into the category....But NOoo...we have brainless fellows who were appointed based on "imma mmadu" masquerading themselves as lecturers without anything upstairs.... it's quite unfortunate and a pity the educational sector is experiencing this kinda treatment from those who are incharge of safeguarding her....
But if we should tell eachother the truth, most students ain't annoyed ASUU ain't ready to resume neither are they worried if the proposed lockdown/strike is enforced, they are only worried ASUU has shattered their plans of straffing that girl I agree with you but the second paragraph isn't it o |

remi1444: Can we take to the street one more time? It wasn't unsafe for Edo and Ondo to conduct their gubernatorial elections not forgetting to mention the Bye-Elections. I look like a clown whenever I think about the time I was supporting and believing in this thing called Nigeria.
I've been stuck in the beginning of year 3 since mid 2017 and this might linger for the next 6 months meaning my promotion from 300L to 400L would take approximately two years. If I had known, accumulating my school fees, rent fees, dues and other expenses for just two years would have comfortably covered my trip expenses to Senegal and no doubt I should be living just fine.
I always look like a clown for believing in Nigeria and her educational system. Your words are touching. I'm so sorry |
