Lessons learnt from dino's saga:
1) If you are in sch or any institution and you hold any position, do your best to ensure your integrity; you just don't know what your mess up can cost you in future
2)If you stay in a glass house don't throw stones
3)If you dropped out of sch or you are out with a fake cert., my friend find a way to go back and have a genuine degree, it might just come back to hunt you and leave your lungs out of breath. If dino comes out clear on this, it wld only mean he got genuine degree
4)Don't over hype yourself, waec is sufficient to be a senator, talkless of a degree in geography,unijos,etc, why add harvard and Lse? Na beans? These schs don't just produce graduates but also a complete gentleman/lady (like SLS) which we all know is a yang to dino
5)You don't fight a media that has lot of political backing and expect to win...who told you sowore is the owner of sr? He is just a puppet in the hands of puppeteer.

my brother if you studied any management course I will advise you channelise all your energy towards ICAN, NIM has very little to offer (don't know about HSE/PMP), with ICAN you will have greater advantage than all others...sentiments have made people to misguide others. If you studied science/arts/humanities or other courses other than management then you should go for NIM so as to brace you up for business or business related job in your post NYSC. sweetheart ICAN is by far relevant than CIBN in all ramifications (even banks would easily pick a chartered accountant to a chartered banker) that is the way it is... I will outrightly advise anybody who cares to listen to go for ICAN rather than waste their time with CIBN (my opinion though), I did the 3 and the little opportunity I have had in the labour market have afforded me the knowledge that ICAN surpasses the rest (in business field), used 4 years to study banking and finance and CIBN but had to still go for ICAN before I got my footings...aside bank where can a CIBN holder have edge again?

Comparing CIBN to NIM has to be the most preposterous comparison I have seen in my life.
CIBN and NIM are not and can never be on the same scale if truly you've passed through both or CIBN.

In Nigeria? Yes.
ICAN was everything till it became pertinent to have a certification for bankers or people in the banking industry _ICAN didn't cover all the nitty-gritty of Banking/Finance.
Some people think having certifications would 'automatically' land them jobs, I have seen jobless people with ICAN too. I have seen jobless engineers with HSEs. That said...

*I have seen people get jobs for having CIBN certification. I have also lost chances for not having one or being in the process of having one in the past.
*I have seen job adverts specify, ICAN, ACIB, CIP would be given special advantage. Do you know more than the recruiters?
*There is a level you can't assume without having one in the bank.
*Maybe the people that commented above think banking is all about operations and marketing. There are specialised unit in banking, you need such certifications to function in.

Steps are currently taken to ensure every 'banker' has one. It has been done in the past severally, but kicked against. We need to have professionals and people enthusiastic about the job in that industry_ not any waka pass.

If you're a banker, who has done CIBN and it didn't influence your work ethics positively, just know you're part of the problem in the industry.

madam take a chill pill, ICAN surpassess both CIBN and NIM, most definately professional courses are added advantages, but not equal to ICAN...if you have both CIBN and NIM you are still beneath those that have ICAN...I know because I have all of them and I have been in the banking sector for 15 years now...

CIBN is as useless as 'P' in Pneumonia, did mine 12 years ago and never helped me, it is also like that NIM of a thing we all rushed to do during NYSC, I don't even know where those certifcates are again. Do ICAN and you most definately be relevant, persevere and reap for the rest of labour life....cheers!

There was this colonel whom I wanted to rent his BQ 4 years ago, the rules he gave me was quite shocking , he told me I must enter the house before 8 pm, no visitors in any form (even if na rat), pumps water once in a week (even if water has been exhausted), no parking inside the house (the house has very big compound o), then lastly no talking loudly in the house, I started asking myself if the rent was free...na so me and madam run for our dear lives o...landlords could be very funny
