Nairaland GeneralRe: In Nigeria, Does The King's Father Prostrate For The King? by timawoku(op): 7:28pm On Mar 28, 2016
midehi2:
how would a son be king when the father is still a king....not in naija
in yoruba land it can happen, this is because kingship is rotated amongst families... Take for instance the Ooni of ife, he did not succeed his dad from the throne, etc. In some other part of Nigeria this tradition is also used... Lalsticlala, myndd44 we need a wide range of view on this, do something.thanks
Nairaland GeneralIn Nigeria, Does The King's Father Prostrate For The King? by timawoku(op):
A king in Nigeria commands huge respect from his subjects and as a sign of loyalty and total submission , a king is being prostrated for. Does the king's father also prostrate for the king or is there an exception? Personally I think the protocol officers of the palace would ensure the king's father only sees his son in secrecy, nairalanders what is your submission?

*if na me be the king papa ehn and I do mistake prostrate for am for palace becos of one yeye crown he must come my room prostrate in secrecy for 3 nights... snakelala lalasticlala wetin you feel? Cc:Seun, myndd44

Acidosis:
- Spend some time to conduct a simple market research in your environ. Compare prices/fees, flexibility, etc.

- Identify your market. Are your prices affordable to all and sundry? If you set a high fee, and distribute flyers to the average and the poor, the end result would be 'poor.' If you target the rich, give more flyers to the rich.

- Concentrate more on PARENTS, mothers especially. Your business, owing to its nature, will boom when you relate more with mothers/wives, not fathers.

- The foregoing tells you something about your target market, more flyers should be given to mothers.

- Do you have a visible banner around your centre?

- When the physical distribution of flyers is failing, try NAIRALAND; Education Section.

- Exercise patience, do not despise the day of little beginning. Your tutorial centre can become a big school in Ikorodu.
acidosis when you know who to follow, you will get there, I thank God am following you, you have been of great help!

What do you want sir?

How to remain in your firm or ways to grow your business?

About your business:

Its barely a week since you opened the doors for students (clients). Please don't be in a hurry, business doesn't work that way. Ask your boss, I'm sure he started business from his sitting room/bedroom.

I also feel you need to cut down the number of your workforce. Running a tutorial centre with 4 teachers is not bad; however it is too early to start engaging such volume...

Get your clients, teachers will always be available.

What's the location?
the problem I seek to profer solution to is about how to make my business grow. Imagine after much input?

When I made investigations about what can make an education center a success, I was told the quality of education would help the business that's y I went for people with masters, most of the teachers are friends and family who just want to help the business to grow, so I am really not paying much. The education center is located at ikorodu lagos.

It's unlikely that the people he sacked didn't do anything wrong. Just find out what they did wrong and don't do anything similar to that.
even at that I have invested in education center business, I want to know what I am doing wrong with regards to the ventured bussiness., as per my job auditors are not perfect (extrapolations, concluded calculations, etc) so when he feels its my time to go(tired of my face), he has lot pool of reasons to (especially mistakes from my subordinates). I need your expert advice on how I can successfully run the education bussiness. Seun am honoured you spent time (from ur busy schedule) to advice me, thanks for that!

Nairalanders please I need advice o

My boss has been firing everybody in my office, he has fired 3 managers in the last 10 months. promoting me to a manager (after immediately sacking the last 1) has stirred up mixed reaction from me as I know sack is imminent (it is a policy which he believes in;sack managers often so that no one holds a strong control of his business). we are into auditing...

I started preparing for the inevitable by starting up an education center, I have spent 600k thus far. I started off the business this past monday, after all the advert and distribution of flyers, I am yet to see a single student. My education center is at the side of a major road, I see no reason why students should not flow in, most of the teachers taking Subjects are super good, 4 have masters out of 5,(they are actually friends with time on their hands) worse still is that my 'oga at the top' has started making life miserable for me, failure is not an option for me now. how do I go about this? Ps I ventured into the business out of passion for teaching. I was once a lecturer in a polytechnic (during my NYSC days) and I enjoyed every bit of it, I know it will work but how? I took 2 weeks leave just for this, please advice me o

BusinessRe: Access Bank Wants Me To Commit Suicide by timawoku(m): 3:47pm On Jan 19, 2016
Babysho:
My dad deposited 30k inside my acct not knowing that as a savings account holder I shouldn't exceed 20k deposit limit....so they deactivated my acct...

I went to the bank with NEPA bill for solution......they said I have to upgrade my acct.. But I can't use NEPA bill only......they said I need sch Id card or national passport or voters card or residence permit...I don't have all those...

Please what can I do.....the bank guys refuse to help me out ohhh....help me my nairalanders.....

My dad said if my elder bro who has his ID card and admsn letter goes with me....they'll upgrade it for me....pls how true is this....we would have gone to confirm...but we have only 'to' transport... No 'fro'....so we don't get stranded....

please help out guys....

I am suppose to be at school receiving lectures but my sch fee and t-fare is in my bloody access bank acct
my advice for you is this...

1)Go to court and swear affidavit that you lost your your wallet containing ur national Id or DL or voters card. Use the affidavit, it can work in place of I'd card. Affidavit will however cost you 500 bucks

2) Get a guarantor with current account to stand in for you, since you are in the school environment, it should be easy for you to have access to access account holders.

3) Commit suicide! Really that wouldn't be a half bad idea! All the troubles would go away and better still, you won't be troubling other Nigerians with your problems. *Thank me later*

Na wa for these Mods and superMods, dem be giving us stale news, they should even try to investigate threads that brought the news forth first before pushing to FP, and to think these first threads cc'd them. Here is an example of thread we read yesterday morning o and mods were cc'd.

If she manages to eat a little she throws it all up. HELP ME.

Please give them multivitamins, it worked for my kids...
Then try any of these
1) Marshed potatos
2) Blended peeled apples and pawpaw
3) If in Nigeria, try yellow pap or millet (oka baba) with baby milk (preferably peak milk 0-12 months)
4) Marshed yam and butter
5) Baby food (preferably friso gold or sma gold)
Etc...
Bottom line is you keep trying till you will find what suits them. You go spend money sha o, but it will pay at the long run.

PoliticsRe: We Are Not Winning Boko Haram, We Are Being Killed, They Are Lying by timawoku(m):
[quote author=ambac2bust post=41726853]We, the soldiers in Maiduguri, are losing patience, and we are planning massive protests in the country by January; then they will know our pains.
Here are the questions we want them to answer.
1. Is the Nigerian army really winning the war against the insurgency?
We are not winning the war against these people, if you will. Come to
any location across Maiduguri and interview the soldiers one by one – then you will know the pains we are passing through here. They keep deceiving Nigerians on media, sitting down in Abuja and telling the people what is happening in the theatre. Let them come and stay in these environment.
2. Are we really paid our entitlement as the soldiers who fight and die for their nation?
Why has Dambazau, who is now the minister of interior, suspended our allowances: TC allowance and furniture allowance? Why are the navy and the air forces still being paid their money? These questions should be forwarded to Dambazau.
3. Are the soldiers really equipped with good weapons to counter insurgents?
Recently some weaponry has been brought, however, most weapons we now use were bought by Goodluck Jonathan, when he postponed the last presidential election for six weeks, and the captured terrain was regained.

I smell lies,@ emboldened PDP e-warriors just shot themselves in the foot. wetin consign you with who buy the weapon?, no be to use am be ur own? Pdp e-warriors sha no wan gree.
