tbaba1234:Then it's either they are shitty or the coach is shitty. Either ways, our home based football is bleeped up. Damn Local coaches are clueless and corruption madden, Local league players are now shitty too. Na Academy players get small hope now cos it now seems they are the ones getting signed by reasonable clubs abroad. It seems Pinnick and his goons has destroyed our local football |
larride:Nothing funny about it. Any coach that will guarantee success,( and what is the success?, Trophies ) is welcomed by me. That is one thing. I like about Chelsea, their board don't work on emotions but fact and results. That is why they could hire Mourinho for a second time because they wanted results, not minding how they split in the first place. That is one of the reason I'm 100% sure that Lampard's honey moon will be over after the transfer ban, except he does something extraordinary like winning the league or Champions league. They will sack him irrespective of if he's a club legend. Man utd is clearly still being run on Emotions and sentiments, that is why they've been taking a lot of stupid decisions since the sack of Mourinho. An example is the sale of Lukaku and Sanchez. Do you think a proper/Actual/Serious coach will make such stupid decisions? Even if such decisions want to happen, he would have gotten a proper replacement without hoping on a 17 yr old teenager to blow in his first professional season. Like WtF!! |
tbaba1234:Most if the players too are also match rusty. The league has been off for how many months now |
CrystalTiger:Ed is crazy though. He might have used the DOF position to make them keep silence, because they were like a pest on the club's neck last season with their constant criticism. Even Berbatov that usually talk last season don't even comment on our matches any longer. Evra that also talks last season is now a motivational speaker just because he was employed to finish his coaching badge at Man utd Academy. Something is definitely not right. |
footiemaniac:@The bolded has been the genesis of my rant since. If we don't get back quickly to winning trophies, we will just become another Arsenal that has lost its winning mentality. And we begin to settle for we played well or We make top four. lol |
eph12:They probably still think we are in 1992 ![]() All those teams developing youth players sef are doing it because of their low financial strength. You think if they can compete financially in the Transfer window, they won't break bank to buy players? |
eph12:If we had this kind of patience that we are having with Ole for Moyes, may be the man would have gotten it right in his subsequent seasons. Afterall Moyes is a better manager. How peeps here keep giving Ole some benefits of the doubt despite his bad history in the EPL and his obvious cluelessness is what I don't understand. Even better managers that has managed the club in the past were not this bad, yet they were sacked without asking question. I guess Ole's juju man strong gan ![]() |
eph12:LVG sef better. and IMHO, he was unfairly sacked though. |
footiemaniac:We should swallow our pride and go back to Mourinho. He's the only person that can get things done trophy wise, if you give am money. If we are saying academy players, some will still push through no matter the coach. As bad is Mourinho is in discovering young players, no be him give us Mctominay that has now turned out to be one of our best players currently? |
Swissh:I'm tired ni. It seems Man utd is suffering from Sir Alex Ferguson success syndrome, thinking that his methods will still work but it's outdated already. We have to move on from his era to acheive anything reasonable. Even Ferguson towards the end of his era knows that his methods are outdated, that is why he bought some established players like Berbatov, Van Persie, etc during the end of his reign. He didn't buy Young British talents ![]() |
Mujtahida:You are right. Especially now that football now has textbook like rules that you can't learn on the streets. You have to be in a proper academy to learn some of those rules. For instance, you won't learn on the streets that there is no Offside during throw in, but a proper academy will teach you. So as a street footballer defender, you might want to be keeping offside trap during a long throw scenario, but your opponent went into a position, and you think he's offside till he scores. This is just one of those numerous scenarios |
eph12:If the Man utd board knOws what's good for them, they better look for a coach that will guarantee trophies and back such coach financially, so that we can get back to the top quickly, so that we no go turn to Arsenal in England. Gone are the Alex Ferguson era where you can build from scratch without pressure. That era is gone. Even Barca that has the culture of promoting from their Academy and spending less on transfers are now competiting with Real Madrid in terms of money spent in the transfer window, just to remain at the top. And if you ask me, our best bet is still Mourinho, provided that he's given what he wants. In his 3yrs he got is 2 trophies. That shows that he will always gettl u trophies whether by hook or by crook. Make the board just swallow their pride and rehire him , or hire another coach that really knows what he's doing and can guarantee you trophies, provided he's backed financially in the Transfer window. If we follow Ole rebuilding nonsense, we go just turn to Arsenal without knowing. #TimesHaveChanged #Fact |
TheSuperNerd:No nice at all. If things doesn't improve, he better seek for a loan move by January. Afterall, Monaco is a king of Loaning players, so he won't have problems getting approval |
TheSuperNerd:Something must be wrong . Either he picked up a knock or he has illness. |
TheSuperNerd:He's injured sir |
weedtaker:In as much as you are correct about the points, I hope you know that managing a small team like Tottenham with low level expectations as per winning of tittles is different from managing big clubs like Man Utd, Barca, Madrid Chelsea, etc of this world that invest heavily in their teams to win tittles. David Moyes did as much as Pochettino at Everton with lesser budgets sef . He came to a big club and things went south. Even though Pochettino is clearly better than Ole, Tottenham present bad runs is not enough to disprove that, but how sure he will be different from Ole presently? It's a one in a million question |
edi287:You are bringing his stats from Crewe when he was bought from MK dons to Spurs. that shows that he used to play there at the early stage of his career which is irrelevant. Someone like Ndidi used to be a defender , Mctominay of Man U used to be a striker, most players have probably played some different positions in the early start of their careers as teenagers. you said he has scored 50 goals at Spurs. the question is , at what position? Stop bringing screenshot of half truth. thank you. |
gustav25:Jeez . I refuse to comment further. You don't deserve further reply from me |
gustav25:How does what I said even relate to Iheanacho and his goal drought challenge. Like WTF!!! Tbf, you have a pea sized brains. As if there are no other British forward on goal drought too. ọ̀dẹ̀ |
tbaba1234:Money? Hmmm When players of other nationality even donate their bonuses from national team Engagement to charity sef. if money is their motivation for choosing a national team, then I'll rather pass on them. Cos NFF no dey stable |
chucs:Yea I get |
chucs:@the bolded is debatable. Shebi u know that technically , those People are now less Nigerian. In the sense that in the Nigerian constitution, one of your rights as a citizen is the right to vote and be voted for. As a dual nationality person, you might still vote but you can't be voted for because of your dual citizenship, meaning you can't contest an election for a political position in the country, except you renounce your other citizenship. So this makes you less Nigerian because you don't enjoy the full right as a Nigerian. And I'm sure this clause is not peculiar to the Nigerian constitution, because a lot of countries in the world also has that clause. Although the decision of the boys to represent England should be respected, but saying that they are also more Nigerian is debatable and cannot be 100% correct as some of them don't own or have never even applied for the Nigerian passport before. |
Earthquake1:You can't be a full citizen of two countries. You will always be loyal to one than the other, no matter what. Why do you think a lot of countries have constitution against people with dual citizenship holding some certain key and sensitive position. Although, the context here is football. But on technical grounds, you can't be a full citizen of two countries at the same time because of loyalty and division of interest. |
edi287:This is not true. Dele was never and I don't think has ever played CM. He started out as a Winger for Spurs before being converted to an AM as time went on. At those two positions, you will get to goal scoring position and score. So it's not a big deal considering his playing position |
charlesemeka85:Technically bro, it is unpatriotism, we don't have to sugar coat it and in some serious countries like China and a former communist Russia, it is a big offense. However, from the moral point of view, we can say that they are just hustlers trying to make ends meet, at least they didn't kill anybody |
tenmariner:No wonder Ole bought Wan bissaka. This dalot plays like a teenager with no strength at all. The just dey bully am everywhere. And I see the reason why Matic or Fred can't bench Mctominay |
realpoacher:This is the highest stage that most of them are playing. They are good individual players but experience was what they lack. They are no way shitty. Ajax used to be like this in 2017 when the major crop of their players then we're still very young. But now they are matured and whipping anybody ![]() |
Kingjite:It's a lose lose situation for Tammy. cos he will be a bench warmer for England, and also for Nigeria. As strong as Osimhen is, Rohr still dey call am light weight and demands more strength from him. How will a lighter Tammy that falls at every touch please Rohr to be his first choice ![]() |
MetalJigsaw:It's a fact bro. It's like like Hazard was an elite goal scorer in the EPL , like Sallah, Aguero, Aubameyang, Vardy, Kane and Lukaku of this world, in the EPL. so using Hazard as a reference point in terms of goal scoring in the EPL is dead on arrival. His best season that he had his highest goals was this season. And the numbers were 16 goals I think. If someone like Kane had 16 goals in the EPL, it will be considered a poor season from him. So yes, If Madrid bought Hazard to be an elite goal scorer that will average 30 goals a season, they just bought the wrong dude ![]() |
jieta:Pepe's lacklustre performance at AFCON was a warning sign to Arsenal but Arsenal refused to listen. ![]() |
. |
andrew444:Our of point sir. even in EPL, hazard is not even a goal scorer. If Madrid bought him to give them goals like Ronaldo, they bought the wrong dude Now Aubameyang is always a goal scorer no matter the league. He's one of those strikers that will always give you goals , no matter the league or the style of play. He's not a knowledge soaker that needs to play in a particular type of set up or style to score ![]() |
