If you know Liverpool 2-3 seasons ago, you will know that the decision was a good one. Liverpool lost a lot of points last season from drawing games from this scenario. Then when Liverpool are leading, and towards the end of the match the opposition starts pressing. Instead of him to bring in a midfielder, Klopp will bring in Milner or Shaqiri or both of them to help the high pressing. At the end of the day , those ones will equalise because he didn't bring in a defender to help the tired defense.

Kimbeast suggestions would have made sense if they were trailing,but I. this case, they needed to protect a lead. Sometimes when you want to be champions, its decision like this that makes the difference.

Mind you, Chelsea also have midfielders that can give any midfield a run for their money. Even in the first half , Liverpool couldn't break Chelsea down from open play , whether midfield or wings. They had to do it from set pieces.

It's a tactical decision and not a bad one too if you ask me. The possession got worst after Kante score that one goal and they were likely to score the second, due to Chelsea's determination, if Klopp didn't give himself brain by bringing in defenders to close shop.

Sometimes you have to conceed possession for the greater good(3 points). It is something that Lampard will have to learn on the Job. And they still lost the game. This was Klopps mistake last season which he has obviously learned from. Games like yesterday will happen once in a while in which you will get dominated, but you have to manage it and get results no matter the way and cost. That is what wins you the league at the end of the season. Liverpool of before would try to regain their superiority in the game , and in the process, conceded another goal and the game would be drawn.
Last season, Man city experienced a lot of this scenarios towards the end of last season, in which after they scored 1 goal, the opposition the closed shop and started pounding them. instead of him to bring in Midfielders or fowards to balance game, he brought in defenders to protect the lead and see off the important 3 points.
